Chapter 9 This enemy is very troublesome.

The Core of the Millennium Labyrinth stretched before Seir, Gala, Malvin, and Arion. The room was adorned with strange symbols that glowed softly, creating a tense magical atmosphere. They didn't have much time to comprehend their surroundings as a rumble emanated from within the labyrinth's core.

Malvin exclaimed with a hint of panic, "What's that rumbling sound!?"

Gala pointed towards the labyrinth's core, shouting to alert the others, "Lord Seir, everyone! Look ahead! Something is emerging!"

Arion commanded his comrades to be vigilant, speaking with a serious tone, "Everyone! Prepare yourselves! Heighten your awareness!"

An energy portal opened, unleashing a giant beetle-shaped monster. The beetle had menacing black wings and glowing red eyes. The ground trembled as the monster emerged, indicating an imminent fierce battle.

Arion, with his sharp eyes, issued a warning, "Be prepared; this is no ordinary monster. I can sense a strong magical power emanating from it."

The monster let out a loud growl that made their hair stand on end. Seir regarded it seriously, "We must work together to overcome this. Gala, create a magical shield. Malvin, you guard Gala. Arion and I will attack."

Gala nodded, "Yes, Lord Seir. I will protect us with a shield."

The monster suddenly launched laser attacks from its glowing red eyes. Gala promptly created a magical shield to shield them. Seir and Arion leaped aside, ready to counterattack.

Seir pushed the monster with his telekinesis, slamming it into the wall behind and leaving a dent, but the monster quickly recovered, emitting a blue light from its body, creating duplicates of itself. The appearance of several monster clones heightened their alertness.

Arion used his two swords to cut down one monster clone, but it was swiftly replaced by another. "This could become a problem," remarked Arion.

Seir observed and suggested, "We need to find the original. Gala, can you scan which one is real?"

Gala closed her eyes momentarily, concentrating, "I think the original is in the middle. I can sense a more intense energy there."

Seir led an attack towards the middle, crushing the monster clones one by one with his telekinesis. The original monster surprised them with its laser attack, but Gala's magical shield protected them.

Malvin, observing from a distance, assessed the situation and quickly thought, "I'll try to weaken it by slamming the front surface of my shield into the monster. Everyone, protect yourselves!"

Malvin ran swiftly towards the monster, brutally colliding with its clone. The laser attacks from the monster's eyes attempted to strike Malvin while he was running, but he deflected the laser and continued his charge.

Malvin, holding back the laser attack with fiery determination, shouted, "How could I lose here!?"

Malvin successfully repelled it and swiftly ran towards the monster. He faced the monster and unleashed a powerful shield attack, "Aarrghhh!!! SHIELD BASHH!!!"

Malvin managed to slam his shield forcefully, causing the monster to be thrown against the wall, immobilizing it temporarily. Malvin immediately leaped aside, giving space for further attacks. Seir and Arion took advantage of this opportunity to strike.

Seir utilized telekinesis to push the monster into the wall, creating an impact. Simultaneously, Arion attacked with his twin swords, inflicting damage. The monster, however, quickly recovered and unleashed its magical power. The monster exploded, creating an energy blast that hit them.

Arion leaped to avoid the blast, shouting loudly, "EVERYONE, WATCH OUT!"

Seir and the others scattered to avoid the exploding attack. They regrouped and saw the monster still standing, albeit weakened.

Gala stood tall after being shielded from the blast, and though her body bore no visible wounds, she bowed slightly. Even if she didn't feel pain, Seir noticed Gala's injuries would raise suspicions.

Seir, who had protected them with telekinesis, looked at Gala with a slightly worried tone, "Gala, are you okay?"

Gala replied casually, "I'm fine, Lord Seir."

Seir knew Gala would quickly recover, but revealing her full power would arouse suspicion.

The monster emitted a loud scream and glowed even brighter. The light from its eyes formed a large energy ball in front of it. They realized this was its final attack.

Seir planned their final assault to stop the monster before it unleashed its last energy blast. "Let's attack together before it releases the energy ball!"

They attacked with all their might. Arion delivered slashing attacks with his two swords, Malvin bashed with his shield, Gala shot a dense black magic beam, and Seir unleashed a powerful telekinetic blow from above.

Arion, leaping forward swiftly, executed a slashing maneuver with his two swords and exclaimed, "hiyaaaa! TWIN SLASH!!"

Seir formed a large transparent hammer above the monster, starting to strike with great force, "HIYAAAA!" A bright light was created from their powerful combined attack. Seir spoke in his mind as the explosion occurred, "I won't let my friends die here..."

Together, they successfully destroyed the monster before its final energy attack could be unleashed.

The beetle-shaped monster's body scattered, marking their victory. They breathed a sigh of relief.

Arion smiled, "We managed to overcome this monster. Now, let's find a way out of this Millennium Labyrinth."

Malvin, with his body full of wounds, stretched his hands upward, "Ahh... Finally, the monster is defeated."

Seir looked towards Gala, seeing her body fully recovered. Seir smiled in relief, thinking, "As I suspected... She didn't use her full power to create an automatic barrier around her because of my command..."

Gala walked to the center of the group and said, "I will heal your wounds. Please don't leave yet! AREA HEAL!" A green light shone around them, instantly healing their injuries.

Malvin, surprised, exclaimed, "Wow! Even my clothes, burnt from the explosion, are back to normal!"

Arion, impressed by Gala, smiled happily, "Your magic is amazing, Gala. My student is more powerful than I thought."

Seir approached Gala and then smiled, gently patting her head with his right hand, "Well done, Gala..."

Blushing, Gala smiled mischievously at Seir, "Yes, Lord Seir!"

They continued their journey from the core of the labyrinth towards the surface. Unaware of what awaited them in the dark corners and still unexplored passages ahead.
