Chapter 7 The Return of the Passenger.

The Guild had taken some scales from the shadow dragon. Afterward, Seir and Gala continued their journey, bringing the shadow dragon back to its place of origin. In the Eternal Mist, their steps echoed like whispers in the secretive forest. The moonlight illuminated their path. Long story short, they arrived at the front of the Eternal Mist.

"Tonight is so beautiful," Gala said, observing the surroundings adorned with mist and moonlight.

Seir nodded, "However, this beauty doesn't lessen our caution. The Eternal Mist remains as enigmatic as ever. We can't see clearly without our powers."

Seir continued, "Gala, you can use your powers here."

"Alright, if Lord Seir permits..." Gala then used her powers, "Creation Magic: Vision of everything!" Her eyes shone, emitting a beautiful purple light, with her pupils forming galaxies, in the center of which was a large rotating black hole.

Seir also used his powers, "Create: Eyes of everything!" Seir's left eye pupil formed a wheel of a cart, changing from brown to a shining golden color, while his right eye pupil formed a feathered pen, displaying a multicolored, ever-changing pattern.

Gala was amazed by Seir's eyes, blushing, "Lord Seir... Your eyes are truly beautiful..."

Seir replied, "Your eyes are beautiful as always, Gala."

Gala blushed even more, and Seir continued his sentence, "Add something, Gala."

Blushing, Gala replied, "Y-yes, my Lord Seir... I understand your intention." Gala smiled gently at Seir and continued, "Creation Magic: Absolute counter barrier!"

Seir praised Gala with his smile, "Oh? Gala, you're progressing rapidly... Well then... Create: True absolute counter barrier!"

Seir continued while explaining, "I know for sure your magic is invulnerable to magical and physical attacks and even reflects them, including curse magic."

"Yes! Lord Seir is correct! Lord Seir complements me with his experience in creation, but Lord Seir's is more absolute as he manipulates the plot itself. Moreover, Lord Seir knows what world this is and how its story unfolds; you surely know the future that awaits..." Gala praised.

"You're right, but I don't want to be bound by that. Besides, we haven't found the main character in this world, Yue, a young man from the East in the area of Gizo City... I myself was brought here as a different individual. I am who I am; in the original world, I'm already dead, and here, I'm the original me..." Seir explained.

Shortly after, the sounds of nocturnal animals welcomed their arrival. The serene atmosphere was complemented by the sound of a small river they crossed. Seir and Gala continued walking, exchanging glances with the conviction that they were facing a meaningful adventure.

"We have to recognize every sound and movement around us," Seir said, maintaining their vigilance.

Gala replied with a smile, "Of course, Lord Seir. We won't be complacent."

Seir realized and spoke to Gala, "Those are just ordinary animals. Besides, we're surely protected. Taking it easy wouldn't hurt..."

Gala answered cheerfully, "Alright, Lord Seir, but I'll still maintain my vigilance. Because Lord Seir relies on me."

As they approached the place where the shadow dragon was first discovered, the atmosphere became thicker. The mist that enveloped them limited their visibility, but Seir guided them with confidence. They arrived at a place that felt special, where the presence of the shadow dragon was initially detected.

Seir released the telepathic bond on the shadow dragon, granting it freedom. The dragon flew gracefully before disappearing into the thick mist.

Before leaving, the dragon said, "Thank you for helping me, young ones... My name is Zagon. Because you've helped me, I'll repay you if you ever need assistance..."

Seir replied with relief, "Yes! I'll contact you when that time comes... By the way, I'm glad you're okay."

Zagon responded, "They only took a few of my scales. It's not a big issue... But next time, if you want to take them again, I want only you and the woman beside you to do it."

Seir asked in surprise, "Why? Isn't it the same?"

Zagon explained to Seir, "You are different. You can communicate with me like a human. I'm sure the woman beside you can too. And... I sense an extraordinary aura around you both... It seems I shouldn't consider you enemies."

Seir used his eyes of everything to see Zagon's future, and he saw a future adventure where Zagon would assist Gala. Seir didn't see a future where Zagon would reveal his secret.

Seir answered, "Alright, I won't hide it. You, as a monster, can be trusted; I've seen it. Actually, I'm not from this world but from a higher world. This world is just a game world, but it's still the real world. And the woman beside me is Gala; she's my creation, although her appearance is graceful and beautiful like an ordinary human. She is actually a god-eating monster who can devour worlds."

Gala interrupted Seir, "Lord Seir is impolite to call a beautiful woman like me a monster." Teasing Seir a bit, Gala continued to Zagon, "Hello~ My name is Gala, Lord Seir's wife hehe~ Nice to meet you!"

Zagon replied a bit surprised, "It turns out, besides being great individuals, your relationship is also special... Haha!" Zagon laughed happily.

Zagon continued his farewell, "Well then, I'll be going. We'll meet again."

Seir replied to Zagon with a friendly smile, "Yes, until we meet again."

Gala waved her hand towards Zagon as he began to leave, "Goodbye!! Little Dragon!"

Zagon then left with his large wings, blowing mist around and gradually disappearing into the mist that returned to its original place.

"We've helped the dragon return to its homeland," Gala said, gazing at the dragon's departure.

Seir nodded, "This is part of the adventure. We're just escorts for these creatures. But... We'll definitely meet again, especially you, Gala," Seir said, gazing in the direction Zagon had departed.

As they continued their journey through the Eternal Mist, the atmosphere lightened. They could sense the presence of magical creatures around them, revealing that the universe was truly alive. The sounds of trickling water and the rustling of the wind accompanied their journey.

"Be careful, Gala. The mist is thicker than usual," Seir warned.

Gala smiled, "No need to worry, Lord Seir. We'll get through this together."

Their journey appeared smooth until they reached the city of Zionis and went to Yulf's place. At Yulf's house, an old but warmly welcoming home, they decided to rest after returning Zagon to the Eternal Mist.

Yulf welcomed them with a smile, "Welcome back! How was your journey?"

Seir smiled, "Smooth, thank you. Now, we need a place to rest. Can we stay at your house for another day?"

Gala added, "And maybe some delicious dishes to fill our stomachs, Mr. Yulf."

Seir continued Gala's words to Yulf, "Don't worry, we'll pay!"

The house was filled with tempting aromas of food and the clinking of glasses. They chose comfortable seats at a corner of the dining table, letting the warm atmosphere soak into them.

"It's been a while since we were last here," Seir remarked, looking around the familiar house.

Gala agreed, "As usual, this house is very comfortable, and Mrs. Yulf's food is delicious. The aroma reached us even from afar! No less than the Guild's Tavern!"

Yulf came with dishes and drinks for them. "These are some special dishes for you. Hope you enjoy them."

Seir and Gala expressed their gratitude, then relished the dishes before them. The lively conversation of the small family in the house added a vibrant background to the place.

Seir commented, "Yulf's place is indeed special. It feels like coming home."

Yulf, standing in front of the table with a smile, replied, "Haha, you two are like family!... But I never expected you to become so close compared to before. Indeed a good match!"

Gala responded with a cheerful smile, "Of course! Lord Seir is my husband!"

Seir sighed patiently in his thoughts, "Huhhh... I guess I have to accept Gala as she is. I gave her human-like thoughts, I also have to accept her human-like feelings. Fortunately, I've ensured she won't betray. Honestly, I hate betrayal..." Seir looked at Gala with a content smile.

After a delightful dinner, Seir and Gala once again felt the fatigue of their journey. Although today's adventure was over, tiredness lingered, emphasizing the importance of rest to regain energy.

Seir looked out of the window, gazing at the star-filled sky. "We need to be ready to continue the adventure tomorrow morning, and we also have to inform Malvin and Lord Arion about returning Zagon."

Gala nodded, "Indeed, Lord Seir. We will continue our journey after sufficient rest."

Seir continued his statement, still looking out of the window at the moon with its moderately bright yellowish glow in the night sky, "Hey... Gala... I plan to go on an adventure alone with you after completing one more mission at the Guild with Lord Arion and Malvin. Will you accompany me?" Seir turned from the window to Gala, smiling gently at her simultaneously.

Gala showed a fascinated expression, and her soft cheeks began to blush, "Yes! Lord Seir, I'll accompany you... wherever you go! Hehe!" Gala smiled cheerfully, her cheeks still blushing.

With hearts full of gratitude for the success of their mission, Seir and Gala planned to stay at Yulf's place and return to the Adventurer's Guild in the morning. They enjoyed the tranquility of the night at Yulf's home, ready to face their final adventure in the city of Zionis in the morning with Arion and Malvin.
