"Arion with one mid-level adventurer and two novice adventurers capturing a dragon... Hey, doesn't that sound impressive, Seir?" Gala continued.
"Well... I didn't expect the Guild to assign this to us. Especially with two rookies in the group," Seir replied with joy.
Arion, walking ahead, turned his head back with a serious expression, "Remember, it is our responsibility to safely transport this dragon. We must not let our guard down."
Gala replied, crossing both his hands behind his head casually, "Yeah, yeah... Master Arionnn..."
Seir, patiently smiling, "Oh dear..."
The dragon in the dimensional space had awakened. It seemed to understand the situation. Seir, always vigilant, used telepathy to ensure the dragon felt comfortable with him.
"Hey, you're awake. I apologize for bringing you here forcibly. I thought you'd feel more at ease this way," Seir communicated with the dragon telepathically.
"I suppose I will be taken somewhere else... Are you going to kill me?" replied the dragon from the dimensional space.
"No, no, we're capturing you just to take a few of your scales for other purposes," Seir telepathically reassured while soothing the dragon.
The dragon replied, "Why didn't you inform me earlier?"
"How could I explain it when you were rampaging earlier..." Seir replied patiently.
"Be at ease... I will release you where we captured you after our business is done," Seir reassured the dragon casually.
"Really? But humans are quite greedy..." replied the dragon in a relieved tone.
"Again, I apologize. Perhaps humans wouldn't survive otherwise..." Seir ended his telepathic communication with a slightly guilty expression.
"Zonis is near," Malvin exclaimed enthusiastically. "I can't wait to see their reactions when we present this dragon to the Adventurer's Guild."
However, the journey wasn't always smooth. As they reached the edge of the forest, they encountered forest fairies curious about the aura of the shadow dragon within Seir's group.
A forest fairy, a beautifully adorned woman in green attire made of leaves, said, "Oh, a shadow dragon! We sensed its aura with you, and there's none around here. Why are you bringing it?"
Gala gave a friendly smile, "We're adventurers from the Guild. This dragon is part of our mission. Don't worry, we won't harm it."
The forest fairy nodded and flew into the air, leaving them behind. The group of adventurers continued their journey, feeling watched from behind the trees.
The forest gradually transformed into a vast open plain, and in the distance, the bustling City of Zonis became visible. From afar, the low hum of activity and the scent of spices welcomed the group.
"We're almost there," Arion said. "Prepare yourselves. We'll attract attention once we enter the city."
"Why?" Gala asked with surprise, but his question was too late. As they approached the city gate, the eyes of the city guards standing tall immediately focused on Seir's group. A special spotlight was given when they saw adventurers assigned to bring a shadow dragon to the guild.
A city guard shouted, "There are adventurers returning with a shadow dragon! Open the gate!"
The city gate opened, and the group entered. The city residents poured out of their homes, observing a rare sight in the City of Zonis.
Seir sensed the tension in the air and signaled the shadow dragon telepathically to remain calm. Some children screamed in fear, while others cheered at the achievement of the adventurer's group.
Seir telepathically said to Gala, "Gala, I think this mission has been publicized by the guild."
"You're right, Seir. I also think so. Actually, I could have used my powers, but you insisted I use as little as possible," Gala replied telepathically.
"Alright, I'll change my order. You can use your original powers if necessary or if there's no other choice. Of course, for self-defense as well..." Seir replied telepathically, sounding relaxed.
"Is Tuan Seir concerned about me? How delightful~" Gala replied telepathically with joyful amusement.
Arion, with his characteristic charisma, spoke to the city residents, "We brought this dragon inside my companion's magical bag as a result of the Adventurer's Guild mission. There's nothing to fear."
A citizen exclaimed, "True adventurers! We admire your courage!"
The group continued their journey through busy streets, attracting attention from every corner of the city. Some merchants and craftsmen gave smiles and respectful nods.
Gala whispered to Seir, "They're really giving us extra attention today."
Seir smiled, "It's an acknowledgment for our success. We should be proud of what we've achieved."
Malvin continued with his usual laughter, "Haha! You're indeed fortunate, my friends!"
After an eventful journey, the adventurer's group finally arrived at the Adventurer's Guild. The guild gate opened wide, and a Senior Adventurer guarding the entrance welcomed them with open arms.
"You have returned safely," said the Senior Adventurer. "And bringing a shadow dragon, it seems your mission was a success!"
Seir answered with a friendly smile, "Yes! I'll take the dragon out of the bag-"
Suddenly, Herta came rushing down the stairs, cutting the conversation short. "Stop! You want to take it out, right? Follow me." Herta led Seir and Gala outside the guild to the guild's backyard.
"Place it here so it won't damage the tavern," Herta pointed to the center of the courtyard.
Seir used his powers inwardly, "Create: Gate!" A portal opened from above and dropped the dragon, still telekinetically bound by Seir.
Seir telepathically spoke to the dragon, "Our task is almost done, my friend. Thank you for your cooperation. I will take you back to your place once everything is finished."
The dragon replied calmly, "Yes, I trust you..."
Meanwhile, other adventurers watched the group with deep admiration and respect.
Their journey to the City of Zonis to deliver the shadow dragon to the Adventurer's Guild was not only a success in terms of the mission but also solidified their reputation among adventurers and city residents. Afterward, they had to return the dragon to the Eternal Mist.
