Chapter 5 This place is too foggy!

Several weeks after clearing the Suena Cave, Seir, Gala, Malvin, and Arion were given a new mission by the Adventure Guild. This time, they were tasked with capturing a dragon rumored to roam the Eternal Mist region, a mysterious place inhabited by fierce creatures. They gathered at the Adventure Guild, ready to embark on a new adventure.

Arion led the meeting, "This mission won't be easy. The dragon we're looking for is a shadow dragon, capable of hiding within the thick mist in an area called the Eternal Mist. Be cautious and prepare for a challenging battle."

"Dragon? Why are we given a mission to defeat a dragon when we've only completed a few missions? Usually, we choose our own missions," Gala wondered.

Arion replied casually, "It's because of my reputation as the strongest adventurer in Zionis. Even though you are beginners, your abilities resemble those of veterans who have experienced many battles."

Seir thought to himself, "Ah... it must be because of my abilities and Gala's strength from the beginning."

Malvin spoke with shining eyes of admiration, "Wow... praised by the strongest adventurer... It makes me so happy! I'll tell this happiness to my grandchildren..."

Gala replied to Malvin with a strange expression, "You're exaggerating, Malvin..."

Arion continued, "Moreover, this dragon is not as you might imagine. It's only four times larger than the bats in Suena Cave that you faced before."

Seir asked, "Why does the guild want us to capture the dragon instead of killing it?"

Arion explained, "Shadow dragons have valuable scales that can be used to make healing potions. The guild wants to utilize this resource without excessively killing the creature, allowing them to continue reproducing."

Arion invited them, "Well then... let's go! I'm sure you've already prepared everything."

Gala replied enthusiastically, "Of course! I'm ready to protect Master Seir anytime!"

Malvin said to Gala, "You... look like Master Seir's lover."

"Could it be... are you two dating?" Malvin teased Seir.

Gala blushed, and Seir calmly replied, "We do have a special relationship... But not as you imagine."

Malvin teased Seir again, "Oh? Is that so? Well, whatever your relationship is, I hope it lasts, hehe!" Malvin chuckled.

"I thought your relationship was just as a group of companions. I didn't expect you to have such a connection," Arion said to Seir and Gala.

"We do have our own secrets, Lord Arion," Seir calmly replied.

"Yes! You're right, Lord Seir! Hihi~" Gala added, smiling sweetly at Seir.

"I won't ask further about your secrets. Take care of her, Seir," Arion said.

"Take care of your woman, Seir..." Malvin said with a smile.

Seir replied in his thoughts, "Take care? This woman is stronger than you can imagine."

The four of them set out for the Eternal Mist. As they reached the edge of the mist, the atmosphere changed. Thick fog enveloped everything, creating a mysterious and silent ambiance.

Gala commented, "This place is much more eerie than the others. It's like there's a magical force permeating every leaf and tree."

Arion responded, "The Eternal Mist has incredible magical energy. That's why this place is inhabited by valuable creatures like shadow dragons."

After walking for a while, they felt the ground vibrating, and a dragon appeared. Malvin smiled, "It seems like the dragon is approaching. Be ready; we must prepare for battle."

They continued their journey, fighting against the gentle breeze carrying the mist. Deeper they went, thicker the fog became, reducing visibility.

Seir spoke to the others, "Be careful, don't get separated. This fog could make us lose our way."

Gala agreed, "Exactly, Lord Seir. We must stay together to avoid difficulties."

"Hold my hand, Gala; we, as long-range fighters, should stick close!" Seir said to Gala seriously.

Gala blushed while holding Seir's hand, thinking, "Lord Seir's hand... larger than mine, but for some reason, I feel very calm when holding it. Even though Lord Seir knows I don't need protection because he created me with incredible strength. I can easily defeat several gods attacking me simultaneously."

Malvin, looking at them, seemed puzzled and said, "You two! Focus on our goal!"

Suddenly, a large shadow appeared in the midst of the mist. The shadow dragon hovered above the ground, its scales shimmering faintly in the dim light. Arion signaled to prepare.

Arion said, "Remember, our task is to capture, not kill. We need to create a good strategy."

The battle began. Seir used his telekinesis to reduce the dragon's mobility by grabbing its body and wings, causing it to fall. Gala unleashed her illusionary magic to confuse the creature. Malvin attempted to approach with his sword, while Arion tried to withstand the dragon's fireballs with his two swords. However, the dragon broke free from Seir's grasp, as Seir intentionally limited his power to avoid unnecessary suspicion.

As the battle continued, the fog grew thicker. The dragon's shadows and their own forms became difficult to distinguish. They communicated briefly to maintain coordination.

Gala said, "Lord Seir, help me with a light spell to penetrate the fog!"

Seir understood and created a sunlight-like magical light from above, directed towards the shadow dragon, creating a bright light around it. This provided an advantage for them to see the dragon's movements.

Malvin laughed, "This is harder than chasing goblins, but much more exciting!"

Seir replied to Malvin, "At least, this creature doesn't have cunning like goblins."

Arion added, "Don't forget our goal. Capture, don't kill! We need to control the force of our attacks."

In the tension of the battle, Seir approached the shadow dragon carefully. Using his telekinesis, he captured it without causing harm. He made it faint with his creation power without others noticing except Gala, who was certain.

Arion said, "We did it! Now, we must bring this dragon back to the Adventure Guild."

Seir spoke in his thoughts, "If I put it in another dimension, I don't think they'll suspect. I have to make them believe with the sentence I created!"

Seir created a power using his creation ability within his mind, "Create: Remote Sight and Hearing!"

Seir successfully created it, then looked at the place where the Adventure Guild's tavern was located. He saw an adventurer discussing a magical bag.

"My magical bag is starting to break; if this continues, I have to buy a new one. Otherwise, I can't store the monsters I've killed or captured..." said a red-headed adventurer.

"Yes! I'll donate to you for an upgrade!" said a green-cloaked female adventurer beside him.

Seir said with joy in his thoughts, "This is a good idea; I'll use this as an excuse!"

"I'll put it in my magical bag. I'm sure it's enough," Seir said.

"Well done, Seir! You really bought a useful item!" Arion said happily.

"Lord Seir is indeed great!" Gala boasted joyfully.

"I didn't expect you to buy something like that, Seir, haha! With this, during every adventure, we won't have to worry about our loot!" Malvin laughed happily.

They resumed their journey to the city of Zionis with the shadow dragon they successfully captured.
