Chapter 7 I Won't Tolerate You Anymore

Thalia watched Agnes come toward her. Her gaze fell on her younger sister's wrist. The skin looked intact, and there wasn't any scar on it.

"Thalia, my sister. What are you looking at?" Agnes raised her hand with a faint smile. "Last night, I just wanted to slice an apple with a fruit knife. I didn't expect that mom would assume I was going to commit suicide and send me to the hospital. I had to get a full check-up before I was discharged... Thalia, mom still cares about me very much, don't you think so?"

It turned out that Agnes did not try to take her own life at all.

Their mother had deliberately told Thalia to persuade her to divorce Adam.

There was no expression on Thalia's face, and there was a faint smile on her lips. "Congratulations, then, for you can finally become someone's lawful wife instead of a homewrecker."

Hearing the word "homewrecker", Agnes's expression instantly turned grim.

"Agnes, I never owe you anything. Stop playing the victim in front of me." The look on Thalia's face was cold, and she stared at Agnes with an emotionless gaze. "Also, if you've done too many awful deeds, you will have to pay the price someday. That's exactly what happened to your legs, am I right?"

"Thalia Cloude, you b*tch!" Agnes shouted.

Recalling the fear and pain she had gone through when she fell down from stairs three years ago, Agnes could no longer hold back her anger. She raised the glass in her hand and threw the water at Thalia.

A glass of water splashed onto Thalia, and she was soaked through.

She took a cold look at Agnes, turned around, and went into the building to ask for a jug of water. Then she strode over to Agnes and poured the entire jug of cold water onto her head.

"Ahhhh!"

Agnes screamed. She wanted to lunge forward and pull out Thalia's hair, but her legs could barely budged. All she could do was sit there and let Thalia keep pouring water on her.

"Agnes Cloude, I tolerate our mother because she gave birth to me and raised me. I tolerate Adam because he is my husband. Who do you think you are?"

Thalia stared at her coldly.

And she added, "We were no longer sister ever since three years ago, when you tried to set me up and instead fell down the stairs yourself. From now on, I won't tolerate you!"

As soon as she finished, a shadow suddenly loomed over her.

Someone shoved Thalia on the shoulder. She was caught off guard and fell to the ground on her bum.

"Adam!"

Agnes cried as she panted and threw herself into Adam's arms.

Adam lifted Agnes in his arms and glared at Thalia, who was sitting on the ground, with disgust.

This woman was as wicked as always!

Earlier on, he even pitied her and thought of designing a wedding dress for her. How could he be so stupid!

"Hack-Hackkk!"

Thalia covered her lips and coughed violently. She was afraid that she would cough out some blood, so she covered her mouth tightly.

There was a sudden pain in her lower abdomen, and she felt something warm gushed out of her private part. Her face turned pale in horror. She grabbed the hem of Adam's pants and said, "Adam, hurry up, take me to the hospital..."

She had vomited blood before, but now even her lower body had begun to bleed. Was she going to die soon?

She was ready for death, but it still came too fast. Did it mean that she would never get to see the wedding dress Adam designed for her? She refused to accept that...

No, she must hold on till the day she put on the wedding dress!

But Adam kicked her away. "Don't touch me. You disgust me."

Agnes looked at Thalia, who was lying on the ground in a flustered manner, and felt delighted. She leaned against Adam's chest and said softly, "Adam, there seems to be something wrong with Thalia. Should we take her to the hospital?"

Adam didn't even spare Thalia a look. He strode toward the building with Agnes in his arms.

It was as if to Adam, the frail woman who was coughing and lying on the ground didn't even exist.

He never looked back at her.

Thalia watched him leave. At that moment, the grievance and sorrow that she had felt all along became extremely excruciating.

If she died right here, right now, would he feel an ounce of regret?
