Chapter 2 Agnes Cloude was Back

The doctor's words echoed in Thalia's ears once again.

"Miss Cloude, you have stomach cancer. You must have an operation as soon as possible, or else you might die in less than three months."

Outside the door, the sound of Adam's footsteps gradually faded away. Clearly, he did not intend to come in and check on her. He certainly did not care why she suddenly rushed into the bathroom.

Thalia slumped by the toilet and smiled weakly.

Thalia clenched her fists tightly. After a long while, she slowly replied, "Okay."

It was time for her and Agnes to settle their feud.

The next day, she put on thick makeup so that she did not look frail and sick. Then, she rushed to the Cloude family's mansion.

As soon as she pushed the door open, she saw Agnes sitting in a wheelchair and staring at her. Her gaze was venomous.

"Thalia, we haven't seen each other for three years, but you still look as good as the last time I saw you. It seems that your life as a rich man's wife is very comfortable!"

Agnes's sneer made the look on Thalia's face instantly turned grim.

She stared at Agnes's wheelchair and said flatly, "Agnes, since you are back, there are some things that you need to explain."

"Explain?"

When Agnes heard this, she immediately clenched her teeth and said angrily, "All those years ago, you pushed me down the stairs. Agnes mocked her in a cocky manner as if she was not worried that her lie would be exposed at all.

In the middle of the confrontation, she suddenly saw a figure from the corner of her eye.

Her facial expression changed. Suddenly, she held the armrests of her wheelchair, struggled to stand up, and unexpectedly fell onto the ground. She grabbed Thalia's skirt and pleaded in a pitiful voice, "Thalia, please don't be angry with me. Please forgive me. It's all my fault. I shouldn't have come back..."

Thalia frowned. She did not understand what Agnes was up to.

"Agnes has finally recovered. If you dare to harm her again, I'll kill you!"
