Chapter 5 V

That wasn't even all, there was also the distance between their starting point and the temple, the distance was so vast that it took even the blindingly fast arrow several hours just to arrive at the temple which simply meant that this guy was just something else in terms of endurance.

Some minutes later, the being started approaching them and Lucid could now see it much more clearly. It was running on all fours, looking like an alien version of a tiger though compared to a tiger, it was much faster and seemed to be built for speed, this creature was just a wonderful freak of nature.

To the current Lucid, this creature simply represented Nature's desire to just flip everything. It was basically nature raising the middle finger at the universe.

[Watch out!!] The ball shouted and immediately moved to the side so Lucid did the same as the creature unlike the arrow which could defy the laws of the universe couldnt stop on time and bashed itself into the giant step.

Boom!!

The creature slammed into the wall as dust filled the air but cleared just seconds after, it was as though this whole space had this special feature to maintain its own neatness. Well considering that they are Gods then it probably is possible. After the dust cleared up, Lucid and the ball could see the creature clearly. It looked just as Lucid had thought it would.

As the two spent their time admiring the creature, it suddenly and unexpectedly moved and not just that, I actually stood up shrugging off the impact as though it never happened. Seeing the creature shrug off the impact, Lucid already made up his mind that this creature was truly Mother Nature giving the world its middle finger. Not only was this creature impossible fast, it was also extremely durable, that impact should have killed it. In fact at such speed, no living thing on Earth would have survived and shrugged it off as though nothing had happened.

[Hello, What type of lifeform are you] The ball asked as it approached this monster of a living being without any shred of fear in its tone

"Grrrrr" the creature growled in response as it started to circle the two of them and stared at them as though they were nothing but prey. Strangely though it didn't attack as though something was keeping him off or he knew the grounds where he stood.

At this point, hearing its reply and seeing the creatures actions which were clearly no different from that of a regular Earth Tiger, Lucid came to the conclusion that the Gods didn't just invite only sentient beings from across the universe in fact from the way, he was seeing things, it seems as though the Gods had chosen the people here at random.

At first, he had thought he was just lucky to have being included in a convention that concerned the most advanced of races, a theory which was further solidified by the ball which basically a walking computer, it just went around talking about solar systems and Galaxies as though they were traveling from backyard to backyard but looking at this beast now, Lucid wasn't even sure of why they were here at all.

[Hmm the third has arrived, please come up the temple so we may begin] The voice said again as politely as possible but even still Lucid could feel the commanding tone beneath the voice, it was a tone that demanded absolute obedience and it was going to get it because it isn't really giving you a choice.

"How are we supposed to do that?" Lucid asked, looking at the massive staircase, without even measuring it, Lucid already knew that should he try to climb this without help, he might spend months on just the first step.

[I could fly you up with me] The ball suggested and immediately Lucid turn to him with an expression that basically said 'You and who'

"Well our arrows or hoverboards are still here, if we find a way to manipulate it then we can just ride it to the top" Lucid suggested then looked at the floating arrow and immediately started thinking of the various ways that they could ride it up the stairs but no matter what idea he came up with, they all were rendered useless before one(1) major problem here.

[But we have no way to bend the arrows to our will] The ball commented and Lucid nodded, this was a major problem that they had to somehow overcome, without a way to control the arrows then all of them were completely useless.

"Ehm..... you can morph into anything right?" Lucid asked the ball

[As long as it tangible and comes with defined shapes] The ball replied and Lucid immediately smiled, he already had an idea

"Can you morph into a long rope" Lucid asked

[Yes but what would that achieve, tying the arrow wouldn't allow us control over it]

"It wouldn't but we don't exactly need that much control over it, at first we thought that the arrows were already useless since they immediately halted before the steps but it's arrow, flew away after its crash which simply means that ours stopped because it can only move in a straight line and there was no route before it but if we change its direction and you acting as its rudders then we can control the arrows as we want" Lucid explained pointing at the creature whose arrow had disappeared into the horizon

[That.... Is actually an excellent idea, though i am not fast enough to climb up, the arrow is so all i would have to do is control its direction right] The ball added and though its featureless face did not show any change, Lucid could detect the joy beneath it

After a brief discussion, the ball returned to its original form, the ball and from there, it slowly transformed into a long rope. Seeing the ball in action, Lucid was still amazed by its ability but immediately went to work after all he wanted to get to the end of this thing fast.
