Chapter 4 IV

[Hmm, interesting] The ball said then started analyzing the arrow, the arrow was more of a flat board than an actual arrow but oh well.

Seeing the actions of the ball, Lucid too started to analyze the arrow to the best of his abilities which just means, he started looking around it

"Hmm, nothing out of the extraordinary" Lucid thought to himself then tapped the arrow to test if it was tangible or not but surprisingly he actually touched it.

"Wait isn't this thing just a hoverboard then" Lucid thought to himself then actually tried to test his theory so he bravely climbed on the arrow much to the surprise of the ball

[What are you doing?] The ball asked shocked at his actions

"The arrow is tangible, it's basically a hoverboard, there is no telling how far our destination is and unlike you, my body is prone to fatigue toxins so..." Lucid explained then sat properly on the arrow

[Witty, I'll try it] The ball said then sat on its own arrow too and in the next second both arrows took off at blazing speeds

"What the f!!!!....." Lucid shouted in shock, he immediately started to wonder what would have happened had he not climbed upon the arrow, with this speed, he would never make it in fact it wouldn't be surprising if he got lost.

Despite the speed at which the arrow was flying, Lucid couldn't feel anything and though he couldn't tell how fast it was truly traveling, he knew that the arrow was flying at blinding speeds but even then, he couldn't feel anything. Beside him was the ball in its humanoid form also holding on to the board as they flew towards their location.

Some minutes later, Lucid could finally see something else except for the endless plane of white, he could see a temple in front, though it looked small. He could tell that it must be extremely massive for it to be even visible at this distance. Lucid may not know the exact distance between his current location and the temple but he at least knew that it was still extremely far because despite the fact that they were traveling at insane speeds, they still had not approached the temple.

An Hour later, Lucid could finally see the temple in its full glory, in simple terms, this temple was massive. In simpler terms, Lucid was sure that the Earth would fit perfectly into the temple and still have enough space for Jupiter. Well this may be an exaggeration but to Lucid who was like an ant even to the first step on the staircase to the temple. The Temple was absolutely massive.

"Huh?I expected this but isn't this too ridiculous? Lucid asked, then looked over to the ball, who despite not having any facial features, Lucid could tell that it was also feeling the despair he was feeling.

[It seems that these Gods are massive even compared to the messenger god] The ball said in a slightly depressed tone

"Well there is nothing we can do except to wait for extra instructions" Lucid said then laid down on the arrow which now thinking about it was too big for a directional tool.

[True, it would take me approximately 500 years to fly up these two stairs well that is unless these arrows can fly us up there]

"Well it can't, if it could, it would have taken us there and besides maybe we aren't supposed to climb up after all this is a temple full of actual gods"

[Makes sense]

"By the way, what's your race's average lifespan" Lucid asked interested as when the ball mentioned 500 years, it had done so as though it wasn't too long a time, it was long but not so much that i would despair

[Oh no, we do not have a lifespan, My race do not die of natural causes as most races do, we only die when we are killed so i don't think we have a lifespan but if we do, maybe we have not reach its end. Most of you carbon based lifeforms, live no more than 500 years and most of you die even before you reach 300. Am i right] The ball asked

"Yes" Lucid replied but immediately started to think of which carbon based lifeform lives more than 400 years but then again the universe is huge, they are races out there that are beyond his current imagination so lucid just accepted it.

Hours passed with only the two of them just laying there talking about their various races. In their conversation, Lucid learnt a lot about the ball's race while the ball just went on exposing multiple racial secrets. From Lucid's stand point, it was as though this ball had never experienced betrayal or it is just invincible enough that it doesn't matter how much it exposes but then again it could also be that it knew that Lucid couldn't understand most of the things it said.

A few minutes later, the two finally saw another being running towards them. This being was somehow able to keep up with the arrow. Lucid could swear that he had never seen anything move that fast, hell even movies didn't have characters that were fast like this guy. Well there are fictional characters that are supremely fast but this guy was just something else.

[Am I the only one seeing this] The ball asked equally shocked, it was evident that he had never seen any being as fast as he was.

"Oh thank God you can see it too, i thought i had gone mental" Lucid said with slight joy on his face,

Looking at the being that was keeping up with the arrow, they two were completely speechless, they may not know exactly how fast the board was but they both knew that it was at least reaching the speed of sound and may have possibly surpassed it by a large amount but this being was keeping up with it.
