Chapter 4 My Name is Ellie

"Scarlett, what are you doing!" Jeffrey changed countenance, strode up, and pressed her hand that was trying to pull out the needle.

There was a tinge of anger and imperceptible tension in his cold voice.

Ellie couldn't help but remember that crazy night when he acted like a demon.

Five years apart, she thought she could forget it and him. When it occurred to her, however, she still felt a pricking pain in her heart.

She sneered inwardly.

Scarlett?

Did he think she was still the woman she used to be?

"I'm not feeling any discomfort, so there is no need for me to stay in hospital." Ellie laid eyes on his slender hand and struggled to draw her hand back.

She hated hospitals and the pungent smell of disinfectants.

She could never forget her lonely hospitalization for five months.

Jeffrey pressed the call bell, saying, "Stay or not, it's not your call. Wait for the examination report."

His face remained cold but his tone softened a little. However, compared with the tenderness when he talked over the phone just now, it was poles apart.

Ellie certainly wasn't looking forward to his tenderness.

It rarely came to a bigot like him. His tender speech and smile were just a flash in the pan.

Ellie forced his hand open with all her might, "I decide on my own treatment. By the way, I'm not Scarlett. My name is Ellie. Mr. Hodges, you're kind to bring me to the hospital, but we're not familiar. You have no right to decide on my stay or leave."

Jeffrey's eyes turned cold and his gaze at her got complicated.

She said her name was Ellie and not Scarlett.

Could two people look so alike in this world?

Unless they were twins.

He knew well that Scarlett had no twin sisters.

"Do you know who I am? How dare you intercept me! Get out of the way. I'm going in." While Jeffrey and Ellie were staring at each other awkwardly, there was a commotion outside.

"The one lying inside is my sister. Step away or face my wrath." Ellie recognized Ronin's voice.

Jeffrey walked away from the sickbed. "What's going on?" He asked the bodyguards outside when he reached the door.

On their way here, he spotted stalking reporters and thus asked his assistant to send over the bodyguards.

After recognizing the visitor, he frowned and signaled to his bodyguards to stand down.

As soon as they politely made way, Ronin rushed up, grabbed Jeffrey by the collar, and gnashed his teeth, "It's you."

"Jeffrey, are you trying to kill another Scarlett?" Ronin swung his fist towards Jeffrey's head.

The doctor and nurses who just came, along with those bodyguards, were all stunned.

Jeffrey didn't let Ronin get his way. Grabbing Ronin's fist, he twisted it forcefully. The latter was flung to the wall and almost fell.

Jeffrey once received rigorous training. Ronin also processed some skills, or else he would probably have ended up on the floor.

"Ronin." Ellie called out in a low, hoarse voice.

"You vented your anger for Scarlett five years ago and have no right to hit me again." Jeffrey's voice was cold and his gaze icy.

Deep down, he was chewing over Ronin's remark.

Another Scarlett?

Obviously, he couldn't understand it.
