Chapter 8 Do You Regret Divorcing Her

In the Burton family's house, Zoey was instructing the servants to throw all Stella's belongings away, including the bed sheet she used, slippers, apron, and even the tableware.

When Waylon arrived home and saw this, he frowned and asked, "What are you doing?"

Zoey snorted coldly, "I'm asking them to throw all Stella's things away. Remember that Ayla will marry into our family in the future."

Then she suddenly thought of something and walked over to Waylon in a hurry. "Waylon, since you have divorced her, you must not give her money. You work very hard to earn money. She doesn't deserve to get a penny of it!"

He said lightly, "She didn't ask for money. Actually, she doesn't need anything from me."

Obviously, Zoey didn't believe it. "That's impossible! She doesn't have a penny. How can she not ask you for money? If she doesn't have money, how can she keep a toy boy?"

With Zoey's words, Waylon suddenly thought of the relationship between Stella and that male model. He felt irritable at once. He didn't want to talk to Zoey anymore, so he asked Tristan to show her the divorce agreement.

When Waylon went upstairs, he saw Ayla reading a book by the window.

She raised her head and smiled gently at him. "You're back."

Her gentle smile made him gradually calm down.

"Are you feeling better now?"

"Yes. Actually, I'm a little bored staying in the room, so I found a book to read to kill time." Ayla gently put the book on the bedside table, stood up, and held his waist from behind. "Waylon, do you regret divorcing her?"

Waylon said in a low voice, "I have nothing to regret. First, I don't love her. And second, she cheated on me first."

Ayla smiled, satisfied with his answer.

Waylon turned to face her and held her in his arms. "Don't mention her anymore. The most important thing now is your health. Your father will hold a banquet for you next month. You should recover as soon as possible."

Ayla blinked her eyes and smiled. "Okay."

Waylon then left the room. She took her phone and called the butler of the Wagner family.

The butler answered respectfully, "Miss Wagner, what can I do for you?"

"Tell Dad that it was Stella who hit me with her car. You should know how to say it, right?"

"Yes, Miss Wagner."

After hanging up the phone, she turned and looked at the cactus on the windowsill, smiling evilly.

When Waylon returned to the company, he asked Tristan to his office. "Have you prepared the Heart of the Sea?"

"Mr. Burton, I got the news from people in Askorid. The necklace will be sent by air in about a week."

The Heart of the Sea was the famous work of the world-renowned master named K. There was only one piece in the country, so it was invaluable. Tristan knew that Waylon had spent a lot of effort to buy it and planned to propose to Ayla at the banquet of the Wagner family.

Tristan suddenly thought of Stella, who had been with Waylon for six years.

Waylon had never given her a gift or flowers, let alone a precious necklace.

One time, Stella came to the company with a lunch box for Waylon. But Waylon only drove her away with a cold face. All the employees knew that Waylon did not take Stella seriously, so she became the laughingstock of the whole company. She still tried to come to the company a few more times, but she ended up being shut out by the receptionist every time.

Tristan couldn't help sighing. Waylon was very gentle to Ayla, but he was very cold to Stella.

Waylon didn't say anything. He just nodded and lowered his head to deal with his work.

At this moment, his phone rang.

He glanced at the screen and found it was his friend, Pablo Natt. He answered it quickly. "What's up?"

Pablo said in a frivolous voice, "Look at the latest trending topic on the Internet."

Waylon didn't know what his friend meant, so he clicked on the trending topic and glanced at it casually. But he froze in an instant.

It was an intimate photo of the male model and Stella, one with his head down and the other with her face up. It looked like they were kissing.

The caption said, "The CEO of the Burton Group was forced to divorce. The new boyfriend of Mr. Burton's ex-wife is a popular male model."
