Chapter 4 The Young Man

When Stella returned to the car, she became an elegant and confident woman again.

Wesley chuckled lightly and said, "There are some handsome men in Bliss today. Do you want to go there and have a look?"

The Bliss was a high-end bar in Frimery.

Stella turned to him with a helpless look. She was speechless for a moment. Then she said, "What are you talking about? I just got back to being single."

Wesley blinked and said mysteriously, "Actually, there's someone who wants to see you."

"Who is it?"

"Someone you know, of course. You will see when we get there."

Stella thought for a while and nodded. "Okay."

In Bliss, there was a private room exclusive only to Wesley. But someone was already inside. And as soon as they entered, the person on the sofa stood up and looked over.

He was a young man in his early twenties, tall, and had an angular face. When he saw Stella, his eyes lit up at once.

"Hello, Stella! We meet again."

Stella felt the young man in front of her look familiar. It was just that she couldn't remember where she had met him before.

"Don't you remember him anymore? You and your father sponsored a poor student in Highsnow six years ago, right?" Wesley reminded her, seeing the confusion on her face.

It was only then that Stella finally remembered.

"Wait... Kenneth Glyn, is that you?"

Kenneth's face softened, and a charming smile appeared on his face. "Yes, no one else."

Kenneth was a very talkative person, and the three of them chatted happily. According to Wesley, Kenneth was a popular model now. He had already left the poverty-stricken mountainous area and became a celebrity that often appeared in magazines in Frimery.

Stella used to focus all her attention on the Burton family and rarely checked the entertainment news. But she was gratified to know that the poor and pitiful Kenneth was now a celebrity.

After the conversation, the three of them prepared to leave.

But when they passed by the bar counter, a green bottle flew toward Stella's head.

Kenneth reacted faster. Before she could know it, she was already in his arms. And with a loud bang, the bottle hit his back heavily.

He then asked concernedly, "Stella, are you okay?"

Stella was very grateful to him. She immediately checked his back, and she breathed a sigh of relief when she knew he was not hurt. But her face turned cold as she looked in the direction which the bottle flew from.

Then she saw Adrian.

Adrian scolded, "You bitch! How dare you cheat on my brother!"

Adrian was drinking with his cronies, who were obviously not good people. He saw Stella enter the private room with a man, and then she came out with two men after a long time. They stayed in the private room for so long, and he didn't know what they did there. But when he saw them talking and laughing happily, he impulsively threw the bottle in his hand to Stella.

Wesley was so angry that he rolled his sleeves up and shouted at Adrian, "Hey, you! Do you want to be beaten?"

But Stella quickly stopped him, saying, "Let me handle it."

Then she walked up to Adrian step by step.

Adrian curled his lips. "The bottle didn't hit you, right?"

Stella looked at him with an expressionless face and said calmly, "I have something to tell you. Actually, I've been wanting to say this to you for a long time."

"What is it?"

Stella raised her eyebrows. "Do you know how annoying you are? I've been married to your brother for six years, but you never show me respect. Instead, you always call me bitch. But I have to take care of you before you go to school and after you come back from school. You always boss me around and say something rude to me. You have been studying for over ten years, but you are still a stupid bastard."

Adrian frowned when he heard Stella scold him. "You..."

He was about to say something, but Stella interrupted, "Shut up! Your brother and I have divorced, so I have nothing to do with your family anymore. I have the freedom to choose who I want to be with. You have no right to question me. And if you continue provoking me, I'll call the police."

Adrian's face flushed. All the words he wanted to say were stuck in his throat.

Stella turned around and left, totally ignoring him.
