Chapter 8 Cold Blooded Murderer

"Why didn't you let us bring you here??? You wanted to kill him then why did you stop??? "

John was asking her that question finally. He was patiently waiting for her to give an explanation for her action but on the way back she was just silent. Wasn't talking, wasn't saying.

He knew she loved him so much and seeing him with another girl. All happy and enjoying his life triggered her so much. But whatsoever. He didn't expect such type of reaction from her.

If it was the Hazel from last year she would have done anything to protect that idiot but the Hazel he trained is emotionally strong and would never fall into such bullshit traps again.

His head was spinning all the way. Why didn't she let him kill Xavier??? Just one shot and nothing more. That wasn't the kind of revenge he was preparing her for!!!

After coming back when she didn't reply, he had to ask.

She was sitting near her window and looking outside.

"How many times?? How many times do I have to tell you that I don't want any interruption."

"I am sorry. But I don't understand Hazel. We have prepared for this moment. You have sacrificed so much and all you did was shoot a single bullet. That's unbelievable."

"You think I have gotten soft on him???"

"Yeah, I do."

"Oh really??? What made you think like that??? After everything he did. Why I would still be kind to him???"

"Because..."

He was thinking of some nice words to put his perspective forth.

"I think You still Love...."

Before he completed his sentence a bullet just passed near his ear. Barley touching him. She turned around and her face was red. She was fuming with anger.

"Don't you think I missed that?"

He knew she was trying to warn him. She never misses her target. She only misses it intentionally.

"I know."

"I hate him. I hate him to the core. I wanted to kill him but seeing him there happy was. I decided to not give him slow and easy death. Let him suffer in pain just like I did. I want to see him sobbing and crying and that would satisfy my soul. That would be my revenge."

"But leaving him like that. I don't think you did right."

"You are underestimating me, John. The policeman who called you. He is gonna take care of them and that's what I want. I want them to stay safe and sound. I want him to walk again and I will strike again. He would never heal again. Just wait and watch how I deal with my husband. "

He smiled and apologized. He believed she was getting soft on him. He went out and she sat back rewinding the moments.

Her blood started boiling remembering their kissing scenes. He used to neglect any contact with Jenny and upon asking he used to say He hated her the most. But it was all a plan.

She certainly expected him to be with someone but not with Jenny. She wanted to shoot both of them in the head but how they played with her emotions she wanted to give them a taste of their medicines.

She asked for a detailed report on them. What they were doing all these months. How did they spend these months but only got to know about a few months back when they pop up in the public eye suddenly?

They were dating and running a clinic. She was thinking of playing a bigger game now. She was going to make them beg for their life...

"Hazel we have got the person. Do you want me to get the information???"

John informed her about one of their guards who ran away and wanted to tell the rival gang about their plans.

"No, I am in a mood today. Get him in the room."

She changed and went down to see him. She was mad at Xavier and seeing that mole of her gang she was getting the same feelings of rage and anger.

She started beating him until he was lying down half-dead. He was telling them everything but apparently, she wasn't listening to that. She wanted to kill him until John stopped her.

"He is telling everything. Stop it. He would die otherwise."

"I don't care."

"I know you wanted to do this to someone else but please Let me get the information. It's information. You can kill him later on."

After John got all the information she emptied her gun on him. Seeing the dead body she was feeling better. His rage was calming down.

"What's the name of the Clinic where Xavier and Jenny Work???"

"Lifesaver"

"Buy that."

"But"

"I don't know how much it costs. I want to own it. "

"Okay."

"For the next few months until this home gets renovated. Fix our base there. The town will keep our profile low and I would love to torture that jerk daily."

"But."

"Do as I say."

She went back to the room and took her sleeping pills and slept.

Xavier was getting better and was shifted back home. That day Jenny was coming home and was looking happy.

"What happened??? You are looking happy."

"Yeah, Chairman called me today. He wanted to upgrade my clinic and yours too. He said He wanted us to work in the hospital and is offering us a good salary."

"Really??? That's great news but why now???"

"That's what I was wondering. We had been requesting that for many months and now all of a sudden he agrees. What if your Psycho wife is involved in all this???"

"Oh come on Jenny stop calling her that. I know she shot me but I told you the reason. You will see me next time I meet her. And You are overthinking. She didn't do anything. How come she controls this hospital???"

"She had guns she had guards?? And her grandpa left a huge property for her."

"Let me remind you something that each and everything belonging to him was sealed and taken back by the government..the remaining black money was destroyed by her enemies and As far as I know she is broke. It must be that John. He must be protecting her and giving her shelter. There's no way she could afford this hospital."

"I think we shouldn't accept this offer. I am happy in this job."

"Are you mad??? Give me the papers. I want this job. And you want this too. It's our hard work. It's paying us now. Our good luck is back baby. Hazel is alive, I am getting healthier and we are getting our dream job. What could go wrong now???"

They signed the paper after Xavier convinced her. It's been a week and Xavier was ready to join his new job.

He got ready and Jenny was helping him too.

He went to the hospital and he was welcomed by everyone. After a while, he was called to the chairman's office.

He met him and he was very sweet and he asked him to sign a contract for one year. Which he signed happily.

"Now you are officially our employee. I would like to meet our owner."

"Oh really??? Who is he???"

"You are invited to our owner's house this evening for the dinner. Doctor Jenny and you are welcome there."

He was happy to receive the invitation. There wasn't much information on the card. Just the address.

He had no idea his happy life was going to turn upside down in the evening.
