Chapter 5 Wake Your Little Brother

"Xavier Please Get here Soon. I am in trouble."

He was about to sleep when he picked up Jenny's call.

"What happened??? Where are you???"

"At James' house. Please."

Before he heard something else someone was talking loudly and he heard her screaming. He immediately started his bike and drove as fast as he could. He reached their house and even after knocking the door didn't open.

He entered the house after breaking the window. He had already informed the local police and they were on their way. He entered and heard Jenny's continuous screams.

He went upstairs and opened the door and saw two guys there along with James. They were trying to rape jenny. She was on the bed and screaming. He got near them and they started fighting.

It's been almost 10 minutes and he was bleeding by then. He wasn't trained enough but still, he was giving them tough times. Meanwhile, he heard police sirens. He was holding one of the guys by his neck and the other one was trying to push him away.

James was still on the floor. The hit of the rod on his head was effective enough to keep him out of the fight.

The cops arrived and they started arresting them. Xavier went near Jenny. She was scared and crying. She hugged him immediately.

"It's okay. It's okay. you are fine. I am here. Stop crying."

Before he said anything he passed out.

He opened his eyes in his house after some hours. He was being bandaged and Jenny was sitting near him.

"How are you feeling now???"

She asked while he was trying to figure out everything.

"I am feeling better. What happened??? Did cops take them away???"

"Yeah, I handled them.. don't worry. Just stay calm. I am gonna get something for you to eat."

He was having his meal and he looked at Jenny.

"What happened??? It's okay. "

"I am sorry. I should have listened to you when you asked me to not date him. I am sorry."

"Hey, it's okay. Stop blaming yourself now. It's over. Try to be careful in the future."

He warned her almost a few months ago.

"But how did all this happen??? I remember you told me You had a date and he surprised a plan for you."

"Yeah, that was his surprise. He wanted me to cooperate and I knew they wouldn't let me get help so I played along and got time to call you."

"Well, you did right. It's okay now. Everything is fine."

"But You shouldn't have called the cops."

"Why??? They helped us anyway."

"We came here to hide. I didn't want us to get into any legal process."

"Nothing's gonna happen Jenny. I don't think my attackers are still keeping track of me. it's been more than a year. We haven't seen anyone or haven't been suspected. I think it's time we start socializing. Stop getting afraid of them."

"But we should be Careful."

"I am careful."

"Our small mistake can prove lethal."

"Don't worry. We will handle everything. After all, we have nothing to lose."

"I don't know about you but I have so much to lose. After coming this far. I can't afford to lose you."

She said that and left the room. He was feeling guilty but that's what he felt. He shouldn't have been that blunt.

It's been a week and Jenny was feeling better. Xavier started going back to the clinic and everything was going better until Jenny asked him to join her for a dinner.

Xavier was expecting a casual dinner with a friend with casual talk and that's it but she was planning something different. She proposed to him again and this time in front of the whole restaurant.

"Jenny what are you doing???"

While she was on her knees he asked.

"I know you don't love me and I know you are still in love with your Ex but just give me one chance. My love would be enough for both of us. For how long you are gonna do this yourself??? I won't stop you from cherishing Hazel's memories. I would never do that. I just want to take care of you. Please. Can't you do that??? Let me love you the way I want to."

"Say Yes. say yes."

Everyone started cheering them up and he recalled the time when she proposed to him for the first time. It was also in a restaurant but back then He felt the same for her too.

Although he wasn't sure he tried to keep her heart that time this time he wasn't interested in involving himself in any more complications. He was afraid of hurting her feelings. He didn't want to disrespect her but Jenny couldn't see that.

She was getting obsessed with him day by day and That obsession had put her into a rape situation recently too. Anyhow, again Xavier had no choice. He said Yes.

But deep down he knew he would never love her the way she deserved.

"Oh my gosh. I can't believe this. Are you sure???"

"Yeah, I am sure."

She kissed him and hugged him and everyone was cheering for them.

On the way, she was holding his hand and after they reached home she asked him to wait for her.

He was in his room changing when she got there in her seductive dress.

"I think it's been a long baby. You should let your little brother work again. Show me what you got."

Xavier wasn't comfortable but she somehow convinced him after almost a year. He finally slept with someone else.

The only thing he liked about making out was that. He forgot about everything for a while. In his imagination, he was with hazel and His dream broke when he saw Jenny's face.

He slept well that night but he promised himself that he wouldn't hurt Jenny this time.

She struggled for him. She left her job, and her career just to take care of him and he was saved only because of her. He had no idea what was coming next. The past was going to repeat itself. His Wife was coming to make his life hell and he would not be able to save himself.
