Chapter 5 The underdog hacker.

Li Xin Yan was a first class graduate of the Kansas school of hacking. Just like Alicia, she became a Chinese hacker but something differentiated the two of them. As Alicia was a cyber intelligence and used the surveillance of the satellite to her own advance, which means she was had an edge over Yan because her hacking was based on indoor activities and she barely track. She could crack codes and breach security cameras and lots more but yet, she had not yet involved herself in any form of activity that would showcase her intelligence unlike Alicia that was already a master in what she did.

The detective was very considerate in his choice of robbers, he knew there would be absolutely high level of misunderstanding if he should eventually crowded the team with experienced robbers. Since he already had few, he thought it wise to get fresh ones who would easily watch and obey without much challenge. He did so because he wouldn't want his long planned heist to be in jeopardy just because of one careless decision.

One of Xin Yan's achievement was minor but successful, it was only the detective that noticed how strong she would be if he coach her and convince her of joining the team. It wasn't an illegal something, her act was totally legal because she helped to identify certain robbers who stole from the city mall. The case was at the verge of dying off till her attention was called towards it and in matter of hours, the location and the hidden identify of all the robbers appeared on the screen. Actually, she hacked the hacker of that operation and got all the information she needed, since she was able to hack a hacker, the detective recorded her name as someone who would be needed.

Since she wasn't yet a treat to the society, she still walked freely and worked for governmental establishments, sometimes she would help the police department to solve few cases. Mr Wang had observed her for a while and knew that a great hacker like she, shouldn't be misused anyhow, she was supposed to be guarded as a great asset she was but yet, the government wouldn't pay attention to those paramount considerations that would warrant her to turn in her mind of work to them. Wang was able to notice that before them and decided to abduct her and change her mentality against that of the government for downgrading her efforts. The contract was inform of a dinner date, nobody would have suspected that something was about to happen and carefully enough, they made sure the place they went didn't have security cameras, it wasn't an exquisite outing, it was a business proposal just as the detective told her and she agree to come.

Of course, they chatted over drinks and plates of food, he was gradually observing her mindset about working with the police department and the government as a whole, he was only looking for a green light to strike his words.

" You still want to be subjected to the government the whole of your life, is that what you want?" he finally made use of his last card to ascertain if he would go ahead with the proposal or otherwise.

" To be very honest with you, working with the government isn't healthy for me at all, if there's a way for me to abandon them, I wouldn't think that twice do you know why?" she asked the detective who was about to put a comfortable smile on his face.

" No I don't know, so tell me".

" Because they are all assholes", she was very assertive that time.

Mr Wang knew that was his best time to strike, if he was going to convince her at all, that was the best time to step up. If he eventually succeeded in capturing his heart and soul that moment, it would be very interesting to work with her because her royalty would be very much assured. She was really a sweet heart and he believed she would make a big team with Alicia.

" Would you love to work with me to achieve my plight?" he finally spoke up.

" what type of work should that be, you are still an enforcement agent, so what difference would it actually make?" seemed she was yet to understand what the detective was saying.

That was when the detective knew she was actually fed up working for the agencies, she only wanted her own freedom. He then rephrased the presentation of the contract to her, he made it open to her that she was going to assist him in his plans to rob the Bank of China with ¥300bn. At first, she didn't believe it but after lots of conviction from the detective, she gave in. Meanwhile, that happened before the heist at the Central Bank of Madrid took place. She then made herself available and helped the detective to gather necessary information that would also facilitate their heist. As a matter of fact, she knew about the robbery at the bank of Madrid even before the set of persons that executed it. Wang just preserved her and others for the bigger game since they would be needing funds to get what they might need for the robbery at the bank of China. Apparently, the heist wasn't in a bit to steal the money for themselves, they had the motive of using the money for the preparation of the bigger heist ahead.

If you actually understood what the Chinese government were doing at that moment, the corruption and the embezzlement of the fund made for the public was the order of the day. The citizens suffered from a misfortune that would have been averted if the government had given a certain level of their self-conscience. Again, the heist was to serve as a lesson and as a treat for them to loosen the fund to circulate just the way it was supposed to. It would probably serve as a warning for the government to stop tampering with the poor lives of the citizens and give them the quality lives they deserved.

They were to start up the heist on Monday because every Monday, certain authorized bank vans carrying money from the bank of China would come to be loaded with money for easy dispensation to the smaller banks in the country. That would be the way to get in to the bank of China.

They had arms and imitation of the central police uniform blocking the only passage for the van. With the help of Yan, they were able to hack in to their phone conversation and was sure of the exact time they would arrive. With Alicia's help, the route the followed and the vehicles were closely monitored thoroughly because she had already hacked into the satellite. Everything being in position and the whole gang that would go into the bank were all set, as two waited outside to stop the vehicle, the rest went on ambush. Just as the detective told them during the early part of their classes, that they would have just two persons standing on the road while other would ambush the vehicle. The captives would be kept under his care because he wouldn't be stepping inside the bank, he would be on the outside with Alicia while the remaining seven would step in.

Just then, the police vehicles and the bank vans were already approaching, they were two vans and two police vehicles. Because they needed to go into the bank with the whole vehicle as well, the plan changed. With a time bomb implanted in the two police vehicles, they were instructed to lead the van safely into the bank whereas, the drivers of the two vans would be members of the gang and the rest would hide inside the van. The bomb was to be activated by Alicia the very moment the police officers go against the plan and because they wouldn't want to lose their lives, they played along. It was as if nothing changed, as the detective and Alicia drove out while monitoring the whole movement of the police and the gang through the satellite internet connection, the police played along and delivered the van to the bank and that was how they made their way into the bank of China.

" Alicia and I would be on the outside and from there, the movement of the truck would be monitored as well. I'm not certain of how many police vehicles that would follow suit but then, we will handle the situation both from within and outside. If eventually the police are going back with the robbers, it would be much easier and simple. We just need to plant the fear with and trust me, Chinese police would succumb", the detective tried to put the plan before them during their moment of lectures before the heist started.

" Wait, you mean that us getting into the bank would solely depend on the cooperation of the police?" Acacia asked.

" Which other way could you think of that would guarantee your safety while you step into the bank?" he asked them all.

The quietness that covered the whole place gave him the ultimatum to continue what he was saying. They knew they had no choice but to trust the process.

" One of the police vehicles will be in front where as, the other one would be at the back of the two trucks. It has always been like that, and if the first one would get the access easily, then the truck is secured inside the bank. Inside the truck, the telephone signals would be hacked by Yan and the signal would be connected to mine. Incase they needed a vocal confirmation like they always did, I will be at the other end to give them the instructions instead of the inspector. Once we are inside the bank, the next plan will be set into action".

" Bank of China has a lot of workers and customers, securities would be massive as well. How do we intend to deal with the situation?" one of the robbers asked.

" You are right, handling them wouldn't be an easy task but we have got it sorted out. Once there is a confirmation that you guys are inside and ready to strike, Yan will hack into the security cameras and disrupt the electronic signals of the whole bank. The doors would automatically be shout and when these things have been put in place, she will give the signal through the earpiece communication and all of you will be out from where you hid".

The plan worked just as he wanted it to, within few minutes of making their way into the bank, they hijacked the bank and the news was already going round. The operation was very neat that none of them was spotted both outside the bank and when they had gained entrance. Everyone inside of the bank had no choice but to surrender and they all gathered at the main banking hall including the inside security, workers and customers as well. They were all held captive as a bait to perform there heist without any intervention.

" Detective, we have successfully gathered everyone at the banking hall just as you instructed and they whole area is in check", Lorenzo who was put in charge of the robbery inside of the bank reported.

He was probably making use of the earpiece and they were all hearing his communication with the detective. It was a safety measure to ascertain the wellbeing of each robber in there and outside. Without communication from inside and within, the heist wouldn't never be possible, so he made his provisions and plans vast enough.

" That's very good, Yan will confirm that and when she's sure that every other part of the building is empty, then I will instruct you on the next thing to do", the detective replied him.

" Everywhere is empty, nothing showing in the security cameras and we have searched everywhere as well, all of them are gathered here", Yan chipped in immediately.

They were all glad at least, they had control of the inside and since they did so, the outside would also be under their control as well
