Chapter 2 Preparation for the big game

Mr Wang was inexplicably an Elite, he had a lot of things to offer and for the fact that he was a detective with incomparable abilities, it made it very easy for him to detect anything which would help him to solve his case. Apart from that, he was a professional in tracking down culprit, he held the highest record for the easy captivity of wanted persons in the whole of China. Though he was from Yangzhen, a district in Beijing, the capital of China, his reputable success and achievement were heard all of China as a country and he help a better ground in solving locked room cases.

Long even before he pulled up the heist at the bank of Madrid, he already had his plan. He has been planning the biggest robbery in the history of China and that was to rob the Bank of China. The idea to rob the Bank of China came to his head even before he became a detective. It was never his dream to become one, he had always wanted to take after his father whom was a successful banker at the bank. His father was so reputable that he got several awards as the best staff of the year and because of that, certain level of jealousy arose within his co workers. His father was one of the noblest men in the bank but the way all his reputations crumbled was a thing that wasn't handled probably.

There was a minor robbery at the bank which of course might have been pulled up by one of the envious co-worker, the robbery was minor but successful, the culprit weren't caught because they had help from within. The accusation was directly pointed to his father of which he had no strong evidence to defend himself because the robbery took place in his own department and he was solely in charge. Since he wasn't able to defend himself and no one believed him, he was sent to jail. His father suffered several years in jail before he finally died while serving his sentence for a crime he knew nothing about. Wang couldn't hold himself together as a young boy growing up without his father and already had his mind made up on what to do since after the death of his father.

The day he was about leaving, that was the day his mother knew of what he had in mind, he had made the decision to become a detective, prior to his desire to become a banker just like his father. He left home then and found himself at the police academy. When he was asked why he wanted to join the academy, out of a revengeful spirit, he told them that he wanted to commit a perfect crime. It was very certain that they didn't understood what he meant and his words were overlooked. He actually gave in his best to become one of the most successful detective ever made in the history of China. He used his influence as a detective to gather the whole information and research he needed for the heist and it took him good eight years to pull up the plan for the heist. He wasn't doing it for himself, he was doing it to avenge what was done to his father bring punishment upon the entire bank. He had the nation's secret at his grip and could let go at any time just to sell his point across.

He also had the records of all the most wanted criminals in check, he tracked the ones that wouldn't be very useful to him and still helped them to escape, but for the once he would need in the future to accomplish his plan, he kept them far and hidden. He always knew how to get to them at any time because he was the best when it comes to tracking and cracking. Even before he pulled up the quick robbery at the bank of Madrid, he knew those he wanted to do the job with, he always chose the right people for the right job. It wasn't only in China he had records, eventually in every country, he knew someone that would have a clue to what he wanted and he kept them for a reason.

It was in a public mall that he apprehended Miguel, he actually disguised himself as an officer and used the arrest warrant instead of his own Identity. That was how he got Miguel arrest with few fake police department he hired. Miguel was expecting to be taken to the station when he noticed the other vehicles were diverting, leaving him with the so called officer Wang. It was then he came to realize that he was in for another job, because he even wondered how possible it was for him to come up with such idea and only to pick him up for a job. He then knew that the job would be worth trying and putting that into consideration, he signed in.

Right inside Lorenzo's vehicle, the detective was already waiting for him at the back seat, the way he entered was a shock to him because he was sure he had the car under lock. He always covered his trails whenever he was out for a heist and whatsoever way he'd be tracked, he made sure there wasn't any. People would only know about the heist but not the person that executed it. Most professional robbers live among everyone else just like a ghost without being apprehended. Mr Wang knew who they were from his apt investigations and also knew how to get to them. The contract of being involved in a heist was presented to him and considering the format the mastermind came with, he had to accept the offer.

Alicia's case was quite different, the detective came just at the right time, she was at the verge of loosing it because her face was in the whole of Madrid as a wanted person. She was tagged dangerous and a threat to the society. It was due to her last mission, she got outsmarted by a high level operator in the police department, just a single lag, she was spotted. The mistake was quite avoidable and the reason why she couldn't avoid the mistake was still uncertain, because she didn't intentional gave them a clue or was she trying to expose herself either. It was that action that forced her to go into hiding in a totally abandoned area where no one could ever imagine. It was in the poorest place to live in Madrid but yet, the detective was able to track her down to the location. Mr Wang introduced himself as a detective and for just that, Alicia couldn't think of anything else but how to spend the rest of her entire life in the prison yard without knowing she was about to sign a deal to a new life.

They had already arrived to their destination, Beijing, the capital of China, of which was the giant Bank of China. Of all the banks in China, he chose the one in Beijing, the exact bank that made his father suffer a bad fate which he had vowed to pay back. The driving force that made him hasten his plan for the heist was because of the poor management of funds across the street and cities of the state. The corrupt governmental bodies that posed a great barrier for the dissemination of funds, the public funds were embezzled without any qualms or iota of a little selfless thought. The rich became extra richer and the poor became abjectly poorer. The present condition of the country haunted him as a detective because he had the power to investigate the government officials but because of the influence they had, they would easily get away with their crime.

He was a detective and knew probably every hidden secret of the country, even the ones that shouldn't be made known to the press because most times, the detectives help in a great way to put the country in a top and prepared list ahead of what they stood to face. They use their influences to secure the plight of the government and what do most of them get in return? It was very certain that no one could predict what was in his mind all the while he investigated cases and solved certain puzzles to get some cases cracked up especially when it had a bit of room ethics. He had investigated in many closed room cases but none was ever a totally locked room scenario. It was his last case before he set up the robbery that was a case of locked room scene.

He would have given up the plan for the heist if actually the government served the people better, if there wasn't corruption riveting the whole country. But that didn't happen, he then had more reasons to execute the heist in a way that the masses would benefit from it and for the country's secrets which they had been hiding for long, he knew how best to make use of them.

It was in a detached house, he bought the house with his own money, and he purposely reserved it for the planning of the heist. The house was just like every other houses but it had few properties inside aside from the necessary things they would need for the heist and other personal belongings. It looked like somewhere no one had stepped in for few years but yet, it was still nearly arranged. He made it know to them that they were the first to arrive, that the remaining team would arrive the next day and careful advised them to take a good rest before it would be time for dinner. He left them afterwards and made his way to his room because he also needed to rest as well.

The three of them went to there different rooms as each room had the occupants name pasted on the entrance which made it easy for them to locate theirs. Lorenzo didn't do what others were doing at that moment, he stepped out just at the same time. He wanted to survey the whole area before every other person because he doesn't like being kept in the dark. When he came outside, he noticed how serene and quiet the environment was and he couldn't only hear the fresh noises produced by the kind and generous breeze reaching out to the whole setting. He went from place to places and made all his possible surveying before eventually retiring to his room because he also needed to rest too. He was very careful in order not to draw the attention of the rest.

Before they all came down for dinner, the detective was already waiting for them at the dinning table, he made some fresh food for all them to eat.

" I believe you all had a good rest?" he asked.

" I haven't had such a peaceful rest in a while", Alicia confessed.

" You made those, hope they don't taste awful detective?" Miguel asked as he took a chip of potato and threw it into his mouth.

" Wow, that's yummy, you guys need to taste this".

With his credit on the food, they all started eating in silence and no one wanted to talk because they food seemed to be something else, they couldn't remember when last they ate together with their friends or families.

" Is there anyone who doesn't what to be part of this heist, there's still a chance to step down?" the detective asked them all.

There was silence as none of them indicate. That was what he wanted, he just needed to be sure that he was working with the right set of people to avoid compromising anything.

" I'm happy to know that all of you are ready, and I promise you that the heist will be a successful one".

" what's down there, like underneath?" Lorenzo said pointing the floor.

" That's the underground floor, in there your classes would be held but that would be from tomorrow after the whole gang is complete", he announced to them.

" So tell us, how's detective work like and what made you set up this heist in the first place", Miguel inquired to know on behalf of the gang present.

He started by telling them the sole reasons that were behind his decision to set up the heist and as they were listening, he then referred them to the last case he handled, which was a case of locked room scenario.
