Chapter 5: Difference

I gaze at the old house in front of me, the atmosphere is so gloomy and it look like a house came from a horror movie. The door makes some irritating noise as the henchmen open the old house door; it seems like the door is going to fall any moment from now but that it's none of my concern.

As the door open, I came to see what's inside the old house, it might be old and gloomy from the look outside but inside was fine and better. This place is quiet and field with silent as we enter, it's rare to find a house structure like this especially in this generation that everything is powered and run by technology. The floor of pathways we walk in are field with red carpet while the whole place was dim let that the only source of light is the moonlight that passed thru the open window.

Did the owner of this house didn't afford to pay electricity bills?

Anyway, after this group of man barge into my apartment saying that 'I need to come with them and take the kids as hostage, I didn't have a choice but to come with them while the five kids is at stake. Even now that we are heading to wherever hell place is this, they still holding on to the five kids.

As I hate to come with them to this forsaken place, I need to come so they won't hurt Lemei and other kids. Arhgg.... I should have been more careful,

Just wait for me to find right time to scape and I will kill this smirking guy with his henchman.

They open another door and we enter it, there was an aged man waiting and seating on one corner of sofa inside. He turns his head and I came to see he's old face,

The old man smiles as he sees us coming that smile is full of hope and it look like the old man is waiting for me for a long time.

"It's been a long time since we see each other." the old man said,

Yeah, it's been a long time since they save me from being cough and killed like what happen to my father. It's been almost six years but I still didn't have a chance to thank them for saving me.

This old man is General Dawin Alfuente, one of my father's trusted and loyal people and this man once become a Lahanan City general. But now that my father is gone the government has been hunting this former general for a long time.

I sat on the red sofa in front of General Dawin that was seating nicely on his spot

The only thing has change on him was his old face, he still has an authority vibes and deep baritone voice that can make any one tremble on their knees. That's a typical general but that won't scared me,

"Do you recognize me or are you even remember me? "General Dawin ask when I ignored his first question,

How can I forget him and his wife Lady Mira Alfuente? his wife is a matron and the one who stand as my second mother since I didn't experience to feel my mother's touch.

"Stop this nonsense and answer my question! What the hell is going on?" I exclaim greeting my teeth,

I don't want to sound disrespectful but I was totally sound like one, tsk... they had it coming since they started it by barging in my place and forcing me to come with them in this place. They could had chosen the peaceful way to convince me,

He shook his head, "tsk... tsk... I guess, nothing changed your still that hardheaded and stubborn Princess Westly I recall,"

Hah! What do they know? They don't have any idea as to what kind of life I live until now and how much I suffer since when my father died. They don't know me, the Princess Westly before is far from a dangerous woman in front of them right now.

"Just straight to the point General Dawin "I order with authority; I recall my father uses to say that when he wants everyone to straight to the real business and no more nonsense.

"Like father like daughter, anyway, you seem to be a wise kid and I trust that you already know why you are here. What's the point of explaining it when you already understand?" The old general answered,

I rolled my eyes mentally I'm just making it clear,

"I don't want to fight the government, "I responded fast and full of conviction, I'm so sure about my decision I will remain hiding and stay at the side of five kids. That decision won't change,

I'm not a god or is there any especial about me, I'm nothing but a normal human that once become a princess and the only bloodline of Yuson family. It wasn't only me who have a right to fight the mismanagement of government they also have a right! everyone has a right to fight especially if they are citizen's and people of Lahanan City.

I don't understand, why do every one depends on me when it comes to saving the Lahanan City? If they want to be saved then they should be the one doing all the work and sacrifices, not me!

They just let those soulless and devil people lead the city and ruin it just like that? then they will force me to do something and fight those people. That's unfair, I've never wish to be a princess I rather become someone else than to have this kind of responsibility especially in this kind of City.

But yeah, life give me this shitty responsibility.

General Dawin face become serious, "Many people out there suffer a lot, it's been a year when the Elite take over the Lahanan City and for those years we've been searching for you but now you're here saying you don't want to depend and fight for our city, it's disappointing!" He exclaims shaking his head in disbelief,

Well, I can't blame them even I'm disappointed with myself.

"I never wish to have this kind of responsibility! I don't even know if I deserve this," I responded leaning my back on the couch,

Honestly, I don't deserve this kind of responsibility.

"This isn't what your father wants you to be, "the general answered,

"Well, this is what I want to be." I said and shrug my shoulder,

"Westly listen all Lahanan people waiting for you to save them and we are also here to help you, "the General point his hand toward him and his henchman, "We've been hiding for the past 6 years, it's our city but I have no choice but to hide. We never done wrong but the government keep hunting us for the past six years." the General Dawin said hoping that he can convince me with his word,

I remain silent,

"You're the last bloodline of Yuson Family so please you're the only one who has the right to fight this system and government," the smirking guy inset.

"No! I'm not your hero or anything, if you want to be saved then save yourself!" I said still immovable,

Whatever they say I already decide, if only they found me earlier, they might have a higher chance of convincing me to do it but now that I already have a new plan in my life there's no way they can change it.

The smirking guy mumbled some word but I can't understand or even hear him.

"Look this is not only for the city but to bring your father's death to justice!" the smirking guy shouted and it look like his about to lose his patient.

"Whatever you say may answer is still a big No!" I firmly said,

"We have no choice then" the General said and pull out a gun,

My eyes widen while my heart is beating with fear as I see the general point a gun toward the kids who was crying. I felt like crying as my hand shake because of my anger, I can't stand looking while the kid's is crying and shaking with fear. They don't deserve this kind of cruelty,

No! No! No!

"And what's make you different? Tell me General what's your different to government and elite family's cruelty you force me to come here using these five kids as a hostage and never considered that they were too young for this kind of horrible things!" I shouted,

For a minute the room field with silent and General Dawin fell into deep through as he exhales deeply. They finally realized what they're doing

"You never consider the trauma that kids might go through after this! What a selfish bastard! You hear them crying but looks like you become deaf and blinded by the thought of saving Lahanan City!" I added,

I clench my fest as my breath become heavy as I hear Lemie and the other kids crying, they wanted to speak but then they were afraid to ask what the hell is happening.

"Fine if you want me to fight the government, I will do it just make sure you will never hurt this kid's," I said and sign heavily, damn it!

Maybe I should try to fight, at least this time that after 6 years I will fight and start to do the offense against the Lahanan City Government.
