Chapter 4 -4

"Whatttt" Kelly said feeling shocked and happy at the same time.

"Oh my God ...the heavens must be really working in your favour " she continued

"You know I've heard a lot of things about Mr Cobb ..I've seen him severally in economics news too, but really how can someone be so cute .." Kelly kept saying. You could see the look on her face like a young teenager talking about her high school crush which Alexia found amusing

"If you liked him that much why didn't you just apply for an internship program in his company...I mean you'll get to see him almost everyday " Alexia sarcastically said

"I wish..." Kelly said in low spirit "but you know I can't, I love my acting career"

"Is that your reason or you're scared instead of doing your work, you'll end up just staring and fantasizing about him all through" Alexia said blinking her eyes at her friend

"Very good point I must say..who wouldn't ..well except you. I mean it's the most dashing, rich eligible bachelor in the city we're talking about...I just need one night with him and I guarantee I'll die a peaceful death" ..Kelly said closing her eyes with both hands on her chest grinning widely

"Gross.. " Alexia shrugged

Kelly's phone starts ringing she looked at the caller ID andnd said to Alexia

"Oh babe it my manager, I'm sorry I got to go now ... Don't worry take your time lunch's on me .." ..I love you" Kelly said leaving the restaurant in a hurry

"Be careful" Alexia shouted behind her

Alexia didn't feel like going home after leaving the restaurant the night was still young... She decided to go have a drink in a club.

She found her way to a club found a place to sit and called a waiter.

"Get me 5 bottles of your best wine " she ordered throwing the waiter into shock

The waiter responded with a look of concern "ma'am a bottle is 30,000 dollars and it has a very high percentage of alcohol, you can't possibly consume a whole glass even"

"Why are you been so nosy " Alexia annoyingly said

"Sorry ma".. the waiter hurriedly left to get her order

People sitted around Alexia who heard the conversation between her and the waiter were shocked and amused at the kind of request she made

"Wow.. this lady seems like she has a lot of money to spend.." one person said

"I think she's one of those spoilt heiress that go around spending money lavishly" another responded

"But she doesn't look like one..see how shabily she's dressed" the first person responded

"But the wine she requested for should be Xrandi right ?..." Someone among the crowd said causing another stir of uproar

"I think your right ...Xrandi is the most expensive wine here and I heard the alcohol content is drastically high"

"Woah... Is she trying to commit suicide, how can a young girl drink all 5 bottles"

Alexia sat down leisurely not minding the conversations going on around her ..she just waited for her wine to arrive and when it did, she casually opened a bottle, pored into her glass and started drinking. In no time she was done with 4 bottles and already started the fifth one .. she was surrounded by almost everyone in the club, they were all fascinated and surprised at how she kept drinking without getting drunk

Elliot walked down the stairs with a few other people. He just finished having a meeting with a few subsidiary company and was heading out when he and the others met with the commotion at the lobby of the club that prevented them from leaving. As usual he was not interested in what so ever was going on, he just placed a call to the manager of the place

The manager quickly came with a few security as soon as he was called

"Mr Cobb am so sorry for the inconveniences" he said then turned to the security men instructing them to clear the way. Just then one person asked what the matter was, and the manager explained how a young lady drank 5 bottles of Xrandi without getting drunk ..

"Where's she?" Someone else asked and the manager answered pointing towards Alexia

"Over there"

Unconsciously, Elliot also turned towards the direction the manager pointed and immediately stopped in his track. He stared at the girl drinking and felt she looked familiar but since he was just seeing her side view he couldnt really say where he had seen that face before

"Mr Cobb is there a problem" the manager asked

Elliot turned to the manger nodding his head as if saying there was no problem then he turned around and. He went to the car already waiting for him and climbed in

"Don't drive yet wait a little" he said to his driver as soon as he got in

For some reason he was curious about the lady he saw in the club just now, he knew he had probably met her before but he couldn't say where. He decided to wait a little for her to walk out

After waiting for a while without seeing any one, Elliot was running out of patience, just when he was going to leave, he saw a man and a lady come out from the club. It looked like the man was wooing the lady, and the lady seemed uninterested, the man's eyes were full of lust when he stared at the woman.

"Disgusting" Elliot said under his breathe turning his eyes away just to turn it back towards them almost immediately. He looked closely at the lady and his eyes widen in shock

"Fuck..." he cursed

The driver couldn't understand what his boss was thinking or doing, he heard him curse and turned to look at him from the rear view mirror. He saw Ellioit looking outside the window and he also decided to look outside towards the direction his boss was staring at. However, he just found a couple who he thought were probably having a lovers fight and he wondered why his boss acted the way he did.. does he probably know who they are??..-he thought and just then he saw another scene that made his eyes popp out. The man harassing the lady has been badly beaten up and was groaning loudly, judging by the way the man sounded, he was sure he must have broken at least an arm or a leg, what was shocking was how the lady was able to beat up the guy in seconds. He turned back to look at his boss through the rearview mirror and as expected, Elliot had conflicted emotions on his face. He was shocked, surprised and relieved as well. He had just realized few minutes before now that this was the same girl in the club and even after consuming so much drink she was still sober enough to protect herself from the guy. No wonder she looks so familiar he thought. She was Alexia his new assistant

Elliot immediately took out his phone and called a number

Alexia's phone rang immediately, she saw it was a strange number but picked it anyways

"Hello"she said into the phone

"Where're you at" Elliot angrily questioned

"...."

Alexia was unable to speak for a while -Oh shit! how did he get my number she thought. She was so sure it was her new boss calling, no one could sound so domineering and intimidating like him

"I'm ...home..sir....is there a problem?" Alexia finally brought herself to respond

Elliot hanged up and stared out the window, he saw Alexia looking at her phone with a confused look on her face, He just wanted to be a hundred percent sure that lady outside the club was really Alexia Brooke his new assistant ... "seems she's not like other naive ladies" he said silently, he was impressed at how she defended herself even though he was angry at how she drank all those wine putting herself at risk

'How is her number in my phone even' he thought

Just then Alexia hail a cab and got into it.

"Follow her" Elliot said unconsciously

The driver, even though he didn't see reasons why they should follow her she could perfectly take care of herself he thoughy, he however had no choice but to follow the cab

They were still driving for approximately 40mins following the cab making Elliot wonder - why does she live at the outskirt of the city.

Finally the car stopped at the gate of a very huge Manor and Alexia got down and entered the gate

Elliot driver on the other hand had packed the car at a reasonable distant close enough to see Alexia walk into the manor.

And for the upteeth time today Elliot was left speechless....

" Harry" he called out

" Sir" the driver responded

" I want every single thing about Alexia Brooke on my table tomorrow morning "

" Yes sir"
