Chapter 2 -2

The door of the conference room flew open, and a group of three people walked in, the person leading this group was a really tall, handsome man wrapped in a fitted dark blue retro suit complimenting his masculine body underneath, he had a haughty aura around him exuding such a strong presence like that of a medieval king -of course he was Elliot Cobb the CEO. Walking directly behind him was Clinton his assistant and Mrs Luna his secretary they were all dressed impeccably.

As soon as they entered, everyone stood up. There was an uproar in the room immediately with the ladies drooling and fantasizing about the men while the guys feeling intimidated. Elliot sat at the head of the table with Clinton and Mrs Luna sitting at both his right and left side, when they sat, every other person in the room sat down as well

Elliot raised his head high ready to give his speech when his eyes caught the pretty Alexia sitted directly opposite to him. He knew she was the intern Clinton choosed to work directly under him as his assistant, he had seen her picture on her personal file, when he saw her, he stared blankly at her as if trying to acertain something. Alexia sensed his gaze and stared back at him she didnt blink and met his gaze, she wasn't a bit intimidated by him and wasn't mesmerized or showing she was overly attracted to him like the other ladies were doing. He pulled out his gaze finally and spoke

"Been selected amongst many others to work as an intern here shows how qualified and competent you are, as we do every year we'll be retaining the best interns as permanent staff after the end of the internship program. I hope and wish you learn a lot from your stay in this company. Welcome"

Elliot finished addressing the interns and left immediately, however Clinton and Mrs Luna stayed behind

"Miss Brooke please stay back while the rest of you can go to your varous department" Clinton said dismissing the interns

"Mr Comte" Alexia greeted immediately the other interns left

"Miss Brooke, you will be interning directly under Mr Cobb" Clinton said

Holy Hell -whatttt! Alexia screamed silently.

Sensing her shocked and questioning look Clinton explained "I'll be away for a period of five months and Elliot needs an assistant to fill in till I get back, I know you're just an intern and lack experience, but you're our best candidate for now. I mean you graduated as a best student of Brighton college"

-Indeed graduating as a best student from the best school in Zeacity has it own advantage Alexia thought

"Mrs Luna will show you to your office and tell you what you'll be doing. Mrs Luna " Clinton said passing a signal to Mrs Luna telling her to proceed then finally turning around to take his leave

Mrs Luna lead Alexia to the 20th floor. This floor had only two offices opposite each other with a very wide lobby at one end.

"This is my table" Mrs Luna said pointing towards a desk at the lobby

"This is the CEO's office" she said again pointing towards the office at the right side which seems like the bigger one occupying more than 1/2 the entire floor.

"This is your office Miss Brooke" she said again this time pointing to the smaller office at the left side of the floor.

"I'll need you to get settled in now, if you need anything just call" Mrs Luna said finally and left to the lobby

Alexia got into her office, it wasn't so big, but wasn't small either it was just perfect. In all honesty, she never thought she would be interning directly under the CEO himself what's more as his assistant however, she was satisfied with how things turned out.

Just as she was still trying to settle in, she heard the buzzing sound of the intercom, she picked it up and heard the cold voice of Ellioit "I need you in my office now"

Alexia got out of her office and walked towards the office right in front of her's, she knocked on the office door and entered after receiving permission to.

She walked into the enormous and frankly intimidating - glass, steel and white sandstone office which was way too big for just one man. There's a huge modern dark wood desk that could comfortably fit in seven people with 'THE CEO - Elliot Cobb' written discreetly in steel, placed on top of the desk . Beyond that, there's a floor-to-ceiling window with a view of Zea city skyline that looks out through the city.

Everything, from the ceiling, floor, walls and the luxurious couch were all white. An exquisite potrate of the CEO was hanged on the wall right beside the floor-to-ceiling window. There was also a coffee table by the couch which matches the desk.

Sitted behind the desk was a very busy Elliot who was frowning and so engrossed in the document he was reading

"Mr Cobb" Alexia greeted as soon as she entered however, she got no response from Elliot

After what seemed like a life time, Elliot finally spoke "If we would be working together I think it best you know a few things" he paused as if trying to get her attention and when he feels like he had it he continued still not taking his eyes away from the document

"I hate ladies.....so it best you act as a man whenever you're around me"

Alexia opened her mouth and closed it again twice, never was she expecting to hear such rediculous words from Elliot. What the actual fuck is wrong with him her subconscious screamed. She hated the male species too, so why should she act as one.

"Is there a problem Miss Brooke?" Elliot asked finally lifting up his head to look at the conflicted expression on Alexia's face

"No .... actually yes there is a problem" Alexia spoke meeting his gaze

"Which is?" Elliot asked

"I actually do not like men either so I definitely can't act as one, why don't you act like a lady instead" she asked calmly
