Chapter 9 To the hospital

Robert arrived at Oliver's coner in form of sand. Oliver indifferently looked at the small amount of moving sand in front of his corner which was hardly noticable.

"Robert you'd better not expose your powers in this school else things are gonna go pretty bad for you with everyone knowing that they sleep in the same hostel with a monster". Oliver stomped his feet on the sand. It slowly moved under his bunk bed and almost immediately Robert struggled out.

"What the heck was the meaning of that", Robert asked angrily.

"Just a lesson never to play with your powers like that, I wonder what Poison has been teaching you these days". Robert looked at him and left for his corner .

"Poison, things are starting to get weird, this is not the the type of life I want to live in school", Robert sat on his bed and laid down.

"I'm sorry boy I never meant it to be like this but it's a sacrifice you have to make for future peace. You may think that that guy is harmless but you don't know how mighty he is. Now please stop playing with it your powers". Robert dispersed the sand that was dancing on his hands.

"Now Robert let me remind you, please I would not want anyone to know about my existence, that's the only rule I have for you please..."

The loud sound of the gaint school bell echoed through out the school suddenly. Robert stood up and walked downstairs likewise the rest of the students.

'Oh how I hate the alarm bell", Robert complained.

When the students all gathered in front of the boys hostel, the principal of the school, Mrs Mariam stood infront of the students and addressed them.

"Good afternoon students, to make this brief someone was attacked in this our school. I'm not calling names but I want to warn the the person who dared to attack someone in this school...", Mumurs arose in the midst of the students. The cacophony was too intense that Mrs Miriam raised her voice to silence them.

"We'll take care of the matter later but presently, we...hey you kneel down there!", all the students turned around and traced her finger to Robert.

"Me?" He asked.

"Who else?" Mrs Miriam asked back.

"Ok", he knelt down.

"As I was saying,your mid term exams are starting tomorrow, you kids should prepare well..." As the principal was bluffing her nonsense Robert was busy with Poison.

"So Poison I wanna ask you ,why did the green ball suddenly stop affecting me?". Poison scoffed and replied.

"You mean that green ball?, My dad once told me that when ever I'm under the effect of the ball,which is called The soul dungeon, the part of the soul staff that does the extraction, to counteract the effect you have to transfer a wisp of your powers inside then the ball would "think" that it have captured the soul cus it's the magic from the target that links the ball and the soul so once you cut off the link between you and the ball by sending a wisp of your powers into it, the soul dungeon can only absorb things once so I stuffed a little of my power into it and it stopped sucking me in so boom, magnificent right?"

"Hmm that's pretty smart, when did you practice it?"

Poison laughed ," Don't worry about it...". Robert looked up and realised that all the students were already at their hostel. He heard his name and he looked at Mrs Miriam as she walked towards him with 3 teachers who he recognized as Mr Williams, Miss Green and Mr bous the physics teacher, a tall middle aged fat man and one of the most feared teacher in school. Sometimes he used to wonder how one could be tall and fat at the same time.

As the distance between the kneeling student and the teachers shortened the student's eyes fell on the most beautiful teacher in the whole school,the lovely miss Green,very kind, courteous, beautiful, charming, with a pink lip that forever glows infact at times Robert always feels something rise whenever he sees her. Robert once said that if he was an adult, he would have married her a long time ago, forget about Dora she's still a kid but at least he could still love her, at least.

"Hey Robert enter the school bus, we're taking you to the hospital right now", Mrs Mariam said as she walked up to the bus.

Robert looked like he saw a flying elephant.

"Hospital?", I'm not sick", he retorted angrily.

Miss Greene was taken aback by his anger. She knew that Robert barely got angry but now he was fuming just because he was going to the hospital, what the...

"Robert don't worry", She placed her hand on the shoulder of the already standing Robert.

"It'll be fine", she comforted him while looking at his eyes pitifully.

Robert was her favorite literature student, a good looking brilliant boy she always wished she had a lover err...son like him.

"Miss Greene, why are they taking me to the hospital?". Robert asked almost crying.

"I don't really know but from what I heard, the principal said that your hallucination has reached a questionable degree. Jackson always report to her everyday about you hallucinating. He said that he couldn't bear to see you, his friend in such condition so he recommended your hospitalization".

Robert clenched his fist. He looked up at the boys hostel and saw Oliver staring and laughing at him through a window with his eyes frozen. He looked at Mr Williams and saw him smiling too. He received a telepathic message from Oliver that says, "I hope the doctor finds out that you have an abnormal brain wave and use the x-rays machine on you, don't worry I won't tell you what x-ray can do to that stupid thing called Poison,freak!". Robert clenched his fist harder to the extent that he felt pain on his wrist . He sent back a message to Oliver.

"I'll fu*king kill you", he walked into the bus with miss Green only and it surprised him. The driver started the engine and the bus roared to life Mr Williams waved a soft goodbye as he was looking at Robert as if he was dead. Robert threw him a middle finger and sat at the back of the bus while miss Green sat beside the driver.

"Poison tell me all you know about x-rays and how it's related to us".
