Aurora was different. Unlike others, if they found out that the person they loved was a Prince they would've rejoiced but rather aurora felt betrayed.
She wanted to say something but felt choked by it all.
"Listen, Aurora I can explain" he said and wanted to touch her but she withdrew while staggering
"Aurora, I'm done" she heard her partner say after delivering the bread to the palace's kitchen. She ran back to the chariot and it took off.
"Darn, why did she had to find out first" he cursed out
"Well you gotta do something,Man" Sanjay snapped him out of his state and he rushed inside with Diego and Sanjay behind him.
AT THE BAKERY
After the delivery, Aurora went to the dressing room, she locked the door and sat on a bench reminiscing on what just happened.
She knows she should be happy that the boy she loved is the Prince Charming that everyone is after, but she feels betrayed. She tried to calm herself down
"I'm very sure there's an explanation for all of this" she sniffled unawares that she's crying. She then brought out the letter that says she's going to get married and something fell on the floor.
First of all she was told that she'll leave Adrix and now she was betrayed, can anything go wrong again, she wondered. Then her eyes caught a glimpse of something on the floor, it was the beautiful necklace that she wanted to return to the Prince, more like Cedric. She smiled.
"Cedric told me he had a gift for me but couldn't find it and this necklace the prince bought it, could this be for me?" she wondered then was jolted by the bang on the door
"Aurora open up, or I'm coming in" Mr macho said. Aurora wondered how long they've been banging because she wasn't paying attention.
She cleaned her face, carried her bag and opened the door. "Aurora are you alright" her boss-Mr macho and the workers asked her and she nodded, she totally forgot she quitted.
"I'm sorry, I'm not supposed to be here" she said tenderly
"It's alright " he smiled softly.
Aurora went home and was frightened by who she saw in the living room, it was her aunt.
It's time.
AT THE PALACE
Lunch was served to the king and his guests and they're were almost done when a messenger came and whispered to the king and he nodded.
"Queen Elizabeth after this lovely meal, do you mind if we Interest you in a lovely game of horse riding? The competition is about to begin" he asked politely and she beamed a smile
"I don't mind, I'll love to watch it, I'm a fan of competition" she replied
"Sounds great then"
After lunch they all went to the field of sand.
The kings and Queen were given the royal seat and the guest as well, some of the villagers that wasn't busy showed up because the event was made known to everyone already.
The competition began and everyone was cheering and the ovation was loud, the winner of the game was going to get a huge amount of gold, not even money - GOLD
About 20 privileged people signed in to compete, on intervals the last rider was eliminated.
This was one of the intra-competition between villagers, but when it comes to the inter-competition, other kingdoms were invited and a bigger field will be used.
"Can you get my binoculars. I want to see clearly, this is so thrilling" Queen Elizabeth told Elaina
"Yes mother" she got up and went to their room, she got it and went out, on her way to the field, she saw queen Rodney walking and casting furtive glance over her shoulder.
Elaina wondered why she's moving stealthily in her own castle so she decided to follow her.
Rodney went into Prince Cedric room and Sanjay who was playing video games stopped.
"Where's he? Why hasn't he eaten?" she asked as she saw his lunch untouched.
"He went to get his girl, they had some issues, so the prince wants to fix things with the lady he..." just then they heard a bang in the hallway.
They rushed out and saw a vase that was close to the prince room on the floor. Sanjay carried it up while Queen Rodney stared around suspiciously.
"I just hope he's safe. Alright, I'll return to the game"
"Alright your majesty" he bow slightly and she left.
Elaina gave the binoculars to her mom and sat quietly till the competition was over and the winner was given the 5 pieces of gold.
They said their goodbye as they parted ways
"Was that game amazing or what, it's been long since we've seen such a game" Queen Elizabeth chuckled as she walked down the hall with her daughter heading to their room
"I hated it" Elaina blurted
"Elaina!" her mom scolded
"Why shouldn't I, when I just found out an heart breaking secret" she yelled back and her mom gaped at her furious behavior
"What did you find out?" she asked sternly.
"We were told that Prince Cedric is on a quest right?" she chuckled softly
"But they did not tell us what the quest was, so I just found out the quest was for him to bring back the girl he loves" Queen Elizabeth was so angry that her face almost turned red. The look on her face was scary.
"So, they lied to us?" she scoffed
"I need to give them a piece of my mind" she said furiously.
"Hold on mother, I think I've got a better plan" Elaina declared.
Meanwhile, Prince Cedric ran as fast as he could to meet aurora, he wants to apologize to her and explain why he did all this.
He dressed like a prince this time and he had to use a horse. Diego was with him as well on his own horse. luckily for him the town was almost empty because they were at the competition, so few just saw him.
He finally arrived at the house, they alighted from the horse and tried to open the door. But it looked like it was locked which was unlike them, did they lock it from the inside or outside, he wondered.
He knocked many times, but no one opened and placed his forehead on the door
"Why aren't you opening, are you ghosting me, Aurora?" he muttered inaudibly then a passerby approached them
"Sorry your highness, are you looking for the owners of that house?"
Diego nodded "Yes we are"
"They left" she said
