Chapter 10 Becoming Royal

Aurora was already organising her belongings, she was going to get engaged to Cedric tomorrow.

She had to prepare because tomorrow will be her big day.

Unexpectedly, Prince Cedric arrived with friends

"Good afternoon future mom and dad" he teased as he got in, they were in the living room.

"Oh my Prince welcome" Aurora's mom welcomed him with a hug, then brought him to sit, his friends looked for a place and sat

"You don't have to be so formal, I prefer you call me Cedric" he told her and she smiled

"You know I can't do that, l'll get some tea for you boys" she said and he immediately stopped her

"Don't bother, I came here to say something important" he said and they were puzzled, wondering if anything went wrong.

"Oh.. K.. Kay, let.. Let me get Au..Aurora" she stuttered getting scared a bit.

"No, I'll like to talk to you two alone, so please, my friends here will take aurora out for shopping" he suggested and they nodded.

Aurora couldn't hear the chattering from the living and not come. So she rushed out and she saw Cedric making her to beam unconsciously

"What's my fiancee doing in my house, the day before our engagement" she asked playfully behind him and everyone laughed.

"Don't come closer Aurora" Cedric said while covering his face. They all looked at him puzzled especially his friends who thought he's having cold feet because Aurora is here.

"You are not allowed to look at me the day before our wedding" he said and everyone laughed. Aurora shooked her head and went closer, then surprisingly her parents supported him.

"Aurora don't get close, that's a custom you have to obey" her mom pouted and Aurora raised her hands surrendering.

"alright alright"

"Get ready the Prince's friends will take you out to shop for the wedding, your father and I will catch up later" her mom told her.

They finally left and Cedric was alone with the parents.

"I'm just going to try and cut this short..." he started and they heaved waiting to hear the news

"...As the victim here, I really need your consent. The king doesn't want to accept Aurora because she's not a princess, but I really want to get married to her, so I'll like to transform you all into a king, Queen and Princess to attend my party as my soon to be relative or else I'll be forced to get married to someone I don't love, please you've got to agree to this"

"My mom, the Queen loves Aurora and wants her to be her daughter in-law, so she suggested this" he finished and they just laughed at him mildly

"My prince, don't beg us, you have our consent" Aurora's mom said and her dad nodded as well.

"I love you all" he hugged them.

Sanjay and Diego bought lots of items and Aurora's parents joined them later on, while prince Cedric went ahead and prepared a room for them in the guest quarters.

He made sure it was far away from Queen Elizabeth's room.

Meanwhile, Everyone ate lunch and dinner in the castle but the Prince didn't eat with them. Queen Elizabeth usually asked about the prince whenever they ate but Queen Rodney will say he's busy.

At night, Diego and Sanjay took a chariot and went to pick Aurora and her parents as the prince ordered.

The prince waited for their arrival at the main gate, Queen Rodney joined him.

"Can't wait to see her again, she's so beautiful and soft" Queen Rodney said eyeing Cedric and Cedric raised a brow and chuckled

"Back off mom" he said jokingly and she giggled.

In no time they arrived then the chariot stopped by Cedric and his mom

"Good evening your highness" Aurora and her parents acknowledged the Queen from inside the chariot

"Fine evening, Finally the parents of the beautiful Aurora is here" she said sweetly and they chuckled, although she couldn't see their faces.

"Everything will be just fine, my friends will tell you everything you need to know" Prince Cedric added. It was dark so they couldn't see each other faces

They drove the chariot to the guest quarters and was shown their room.

The prince's friends helped with removing their luggage.

"We'll come back tomorrow with designers and get you all prepared" Sanjay said then Aurora's dad raised his hand a bit

"Hold on, I'm a man, a female designer can't dress me up"

"Sir, we also have male designers for you too" he corrected and he nodded.

The Queen finally saw them in the room, she hugged them as it was her pleasure to see them.

The guest quarters Is very large, with up to about 40 rooms, each rooms with living, dining, kitchen and 10 bedrooms separately.

THE NEXT DAY

The day has finally arrived, the day the Prince will get engaged.

As early as 4 o'clock, the decorators came and started decorating, the king's butler was there to monitor the situation.

When it was 8 o'clock, the Royalties woke up and prepared for the party, designers were directed to the King and Queen's room, Cedric room and The guests rooms - both Aurora's and Queen Elizabeth's.

In the big Hall, tables were arranged for the guest, while the King, Prince and Queen had a special seat for them at a topmost podium.

The guest were going to arrive anytime soon, so they had to get seated.

The prince was still dressing, with his red tuxedo shirt while his friends were with black, his designer left but Cedric was still adjusting "You look perfect, stop adjusting" Sanjay said as he adjusted Cedric tie.

"Now I really wished I had that Golden cufflinks I've always wanted" he said as the caress the silver one on his sleeves

"What about Aurora? How is she?" he inquired

"She's in good hands - our hands" Sanjay said

"That's why I'm afraid" Cedric said slyly and Sanjay gasped, punched his arm and they chuckled.

Then there was a knock at the door

"Prince Cedric, the guest are arriving" the kings butler told him

"I'm coming!"he answered.

"Alright Good luck" Sanjay told him and he left.
