At the outskirt of the sect, in the forbidden forest, the orange fog turned into a handsome middle-aged man. He wore a long orange gown. He looked refined and from a rich background.
"How come I can sense the connection between us from here? Who is she?" he asked himself, looking at the isolated residence at the corner of the sect far from him.
"Master, do you want us to get her for you?" another good-looking man of around 20 years appeared behind the middle-aged man.
"How many times have I told you not to interfere in my personal issues?"
"Sorry, master." Said the young man trembling in fear
"You better be. I want her protected at all-time times as long as she is in the sect."
"Yes, master." The middle-aged man then disappeared, leaving the young man standing there
"You better be real. Don't deceive him. He deserves better." Said the young man following behind his master disappearing
Lin, who was deep in her training, hiccupped a few times.
Awinja stayed in the room a while longer before going back to her training.
In the space world, Lin was enjoying practicing sword qi she learned. She could only try to comprehend the ability. She could just sign in to learn, but she wanted to test how it felt like being a real disciple.
Even so, she was cheating with all the resources at her hand
Reading and practicing for a while, she came back and felt sore. She had laid down for three hours on one side.
She woke and stretched herself.
She got up from the hard rough concrete-made bed and found the room dark. She was surprised she could see in the dark.
She still lit a candle and went to find Awinja.
She was fast asleep on a mat.
"Wake up. When are we eating?" She asked, looking at her friend. She had got full memory back and knew how she got to be with Awinja. Their relationship was special.
"Master. I will warm the food." Awinja said, running to the kitchen in the room.
Was it really a kitchen? It was more like a cramped room with utensils. She would not even dare to eat food made from such a place in the modern world. She dropped down on the mat and waited. It did not take long when she came back with food.
"How did you do it that fast?"
"Magic. You are pretending again. You know all of this. It's just that your level was a bit low. Now you are level 3. You can do it better." Awinja explained excitedly. She was happy her master was becoming powerful.
((Ding ding ding system notification))
((You have earned 10 years of cultivation.))
She heard the notification and wondered, 'Why have I earned the rewards?" She forgot it was day 2 since she came to the Zen continent
She just signed in when she was asleep. The system delayed relaying the message.
She was excited that she said claim loudly.
"Mmmmh," Awinja asked in bewilderment, full of food in her mouth
"Nothing. Nothing."
Awinja looked at her master.
'Is she turning crazy? She has been weird since she woke up. Could she really be crazy?' she could not help but ask herself while eating.
Lin went out of the residence and jumped up on the roof to relax. Yes. She jumped. The space training helped her learn some skills that could help her survive. Besides, she was a spy with military training.
She had discovered lots of things since she regained full memory. She found a comfortable position on the roof and checked her system.
After claiming the reward, she was now a beginner at level 9. She could not believe it. She was the most powerful expert in the whole of the outer sect. She only needed to relax and enjoy her life.
She happily exited the system to find a few figures flying towards the residence. She stood on the roof, alarmed. She was not scared of whoever was coming for her.
"I have to find a way to keep alert when in the space world. It's dangerous being alone." She said to herself, observing the incoming figures
It was evident they were after her. The figures stopped right in front of her on the roof. They wore face masks and wore all black. She could only see their eyes.
"What do you want?" she asked calmly. That surprised the newcomers. They expected her to be panicked and beg for her life.
"You offended someone you should not." One of the people in the mask said, getting his sword out. They were six of them against one. She jumped down from her roof and flew down elegantly. The people were surprised.
"Didn't they say she was a level 1 beginner?" One of them asked in a low tone.
"It seems we were given the wrong information." Another replied at the same time
"One can only fly when they reach level 9 beginner. Unless she is using an artifact that can enable her fly." Another cut in as well
"It doesn't matter; we were paid to finish her off."
Lin ran away from the residence towards the forbidden forest. Someone may say she was crazy, but she knew what she was doing very well. There were lots of experts in the sect. If she were to kill a student in her residence, she would be expelled. The only place she could deal with them without it being traced but to her
"Where is she going?" one of the people asked.
"Does it matter? She is making it easier for us." Another chuckled, flying behind
At the outer skirt of the sect, Lin stopped and turned to look at the approaching figures.
"Who sent you?" she asked, looking at the landing figures.
