Chapter 5 Humilliation

John thought, looking deep in thought. He came back to his senses when Njeri shook him hard.

"Are you regretting breaking the engagement with her?" She asked, looking at him deep with a flash of hatred. She tried so much to sow discord between them. He incited people to talk bad about Lin to make sure he felt ashamed to be with her.

'It seems I have to kill her completely to be at ease,' Young said, looking at the figure standing on a different stand.

"Let's go," John said without giving her a chance to ask the question again.

"But the crystal? You were getting it for me." She tried to ask him, but he ignored her and angrily walked away. He felt humiliated and looked down upon. Something was stirred in his heart when he saw her indifferent attitude. How could she talk to him like that? He went to his residence. His residence was much better when you compare it to Lin's. He lived with a few other male disciples. They were much stronger than him.

"Give me my sandals." The moment he walked into the residence, one of the senior brothers told him. He seemed strong outside, but inside the residence, he was nothing. They treated him like a slave.

"Sure." He answered respectively and ran to the other end of the room to get his sandals. Each of them had their own room with beds and only shared a common room.

He gave him the sandals and tried to sneak to his room to cultivate. He was full of bitterness. His life was not as good as others saw.

"Where are you going? Come scratch my back." The senior brother gave him instructions before he made it to his room

He did not argue and smiled, bending himself in respect and hurrying back. He removed his shoes and knelt on the bed to scratch his back.

'You will pay for this humiliation one day.'

He said to himself while scratching his back. He tried to stop breathing in intervals, but he could endure it. The disciple was stinky.

He could not take it and threw it upon his back.

"What have you done?" The senior brother stood up in anger and kicked him hard on the bed. He kept on throwing up even when kicked. He was choking on his vomit.

"Look at my bed. Clean it up now. With your mouth." The elder brother said to him, kicking him all over. He dragged him from the bed down and kicked him even harder. He culled up, trying to protect his stomach.

That was the scene Lin and Awinja found when they came to the residence

She wanted to make everything clear with him. She wanted to confirm her annulment. She wasn't there when it happened. She wanted to make sure their roads would not cross again in the future. She could not hold her laughter

"So, what a scene. I didn't expect to see this." She mocked him walking inside

"Who are you?" the senior brother asked cautiously.

It's forbidden to fight with fellow disciples unless a challenge has been issued.

"Don't worry. I will not interfere with your little scuffle. I was just passing by. Well, John. I see this is not the right time to talk, but your sight really sickens me. So, I don't want to see you. I want to confirm our engagement annulment. I accept the annulment. I don't want anything to do with you." With that, she turned, laughing out of the room. Awinja was holding her nose all that time, trying to hold her laughter.

"Ooh, if I were you, senior brother, I would not do that again. Or else you will be in big trouble. Not everyone is unconcerned as me. Take care," Lin said to the elder brother and left.

"I can't believe it. So this is the life your fiancée had been living?" Awinja said smiling

"It seems so. I never saw that coming."

"Me neither."

They chatted, going back to their residence.

With enough sect points, one could get a more suitable residence. But that was at the back of Lin's mind. She wanted to be somewhere no one could disturb her and cultivate. She wanted to relax and enjoy her life and investigate why her family was killed.

She may not be the real owner of the body, but she had some connection with her. She felt her pain and worry while she was alive. Yes, she was useless, but that was due to poison in her body. Somebody poisoned her while she was a baby. She was born with super spirit roots. She could have been an advanced expert at 16 or even more with her natural talents.

"You have always been childish, but it seems you have grown overnight. The way you treated Ekai John was amazing. I wish you could've done that way back." Awinja could not help but praise her master.

Yes. She was her master.

She saved her one day when she was hungry and didn't have anywhere to go. She lost her memory. She doesn't remember her family or where she came from. She didn't even know her own name.

Her master named her Awinja.

Once in residence, Lin locked herself in the room and entered into sleep mode. She laid down on her bed and entered her new world. From outside, she was asleep, but she was deep in cultivation. She took several books are read through them. In the outer sect, they don't train the disciples much. They have to rely on themselves.

Her system had all the books she would need to learn sword skills. The skills were amazing. They were all the long-lost skills in the Zen continent. If anyone knew she held such treasure, they would hunt her down.

She was deep in cultivation that she did not notice white orange fog surrounding her body. A middle-aged man was in her room. How he got there, nobody knew. A pair of eyes were on her body surrounding her. Orange fog tried to penetrate her body forcefully.
