####Chapter 8: You seem way happier now

"Hey August?"

"You won't be calling me without a reason." She chuckled.

"um..no that's mean August. Actually I wanted to ask whether you are in the city or not?"

"I knew mister, you won't call without a reason. Now come on tell me."

"Actually I need your help for something. My girlfriend needs a model urgently for the LL Event today. So I request you if you can come over. Please August."

"You know Liam you could've just told me and I will come over for you." And she paused.

"OK then. I am sending you the address. Thankyou."

With this the call ended.

(August's pov)

Liam you always knew about my feelings for you. Back in business school I confessed everything and you rejected saying that isn't the correct time. How can it be now? I have always been waiting for you and here you come seeking help your girlfriend. I honestly wanna meet the girl who actually fits your so called damn time. I changed everything according to your taste to make you notice me and then here it comes to my face. But still I won't give up on you. You are mine and just mine. Noone can love you more than me. Curious about the girl who got your heart. I am coming for you and you too.

Liam enters with August with him. August had been a name in modeling these days. She was very competitive. It's hard to get her in runways since she is always reserved. It was due to Liam's request that she came over.

"Okay so where is your girlfriend?"

"Uh..why you so curious about it" Liam said blushing.

They were quite close. Since college they were close friends.

Liam met Megan's eyes. He knew she was curious.

Liam headed over to her with August beside her.

Meg froze in her position. That was August D'Souza beside him. Is she the model? It's so hard to get her reserved. Even they tried getting her and it was already declined by her manager.

She is a goddess in real life. More beautiful than on screen. Meg talked to herself. She felt nervous. Last did she now about Liam's connections. She was shocked.

"So this is Megan. The Creative Director and in charge of today's event. And this is ..."

"August D'Souza who doesn't know her in the industry. " she said anxiously.

So this is Liam's girlfriend. Um..I guess it will be easier for me. Girl you are no match to me. August said to herself.

"Nice to meet you Miss.."

"Gray." Megan said being excited.

"I guess you should head over backstage since there's not much time before the start." Liam exclaimed.

Both nodded and went ahead.

August began with her makeup and dress while Meg cameout hurriedly to thank Liam.

She called him aside.

"Yes?" Liam asked smirking.

"um..actually thank you for the help."

"are you thanking me?" Liam asked Leaning closer to her whole pointing a finger at her.

Meg's body tensed at the close approach.

Liam pulled himself laughing.

Seizing the opportunity Meg came out of his web and stood further away.

Liam chuckled at her behavior.

Meg ran back to the door. Suddenly something ticked her.

She ran back to Liam who was walking towards the guests, held his hand and turned him around making him trap her with his giant body.

Quite shocked Liam brushed the hair from her face.

"Is she your girlfriend?"

"No and even if she is why would it bother you Meg."

"Don't call my name again." Meg shouted and walked away.

This statement from him was unexpected and it did hurt her.

Half and hour later the Runway began with August as their chief model. She gracefully carried the satin gown with utter sense of elegance and added a different touch of beauty to it.

Everyone was mesmerized with her performance. No doubt she was already so popular.

The show ended with a happy clapping from Miss Smith who praised Megan's efforts quite a few times.

Megan proudly smiled. Amidst Liam's dark statement it was the only time she was happy and contented. Everything was so good but what happened to him. Are they really in a relationship?

She thought.

Anyways she went over to he dressing to thank August for coming over and helping them to which she bitterly smiled at her.

"Why are you happy though? I just came back for Liam. If it wouldn't be him, I would never perform." Megan was quite astonished.

"Miss whatever the reason maybe. Thankyou for your help."

"Are you even qualified for that? You bitch. This is how you stoop low to please the men and get a profitable position. Fucking CD. I don't know how aunty chose to promote you. Oh...I get it. You must have slept with the board right? Afterall they are thirsty." August exclaimed while smirking.

Tears formed around her eyes. She was so dumbfounded. It was her who worked days and nights and why? To end up like this? No. She swiftly rubbed her eyes and looked up to face the person and let her know who she was. After all this she didn't care about August's power in the industry, her fame, name or anything.

"And who does Madam think of herself to speak to Megan Gray that damn way when she is the whore famous for sleeping for every other man she works with."

August looked at her with her mouth open. No one ever dared to speak to her that way. She forwarded to slap Megan when Megan held her hand tightly and shouted.

"Don't cross your limits Miss D'Souza. I don't care about your and your respect. I can fucking fight for myself and thrash you to the floor if you do any more. People like you don't deserve the life you are enjoying."
