#####Chapter 2: Something or Nothing

An usual morning with Meg waking up and getting ready as usual. This was her first day as CD.

She left early so as to set an example and after last night's incident it was important.

She reached her office and looked at the files. Being a workaholic she was not a bit sad. She took a last watch at her besties who were comfortably having the assigned works done. Suddenly the phone rang asking her disturbed. The ID said Miss Smith. She carefully picked up the call with "Yes Miss Smith how can I help you?"..

"Megan I think you should be here asap"...she said from the other end.

"Okay Mam"...and she ended the call.

She went out to Miss Smith's office to meet her.

(In Smith's office)

"Megan I am sorry for the mishap yesterday my child. I didn't know that you would be in such uncomfortable situation." She said with a sad expression

Miss Smith had been a motherly figure for Megan and knowing she was an orphan, Smith took her as her own daughter.

"But Miss you didn't know about it. Also that was a big event. You couldn't be running around for me. And there's no need to be sad. I am fine enough my Missy"...Smith chuckled at Megan's words.

In office they had a strict relationship but at times they got some sweet spares to show their affection.

"Now I should really get back to work. Nonetheless I have to pull overnight today." Meg explained.

"No Sweety it's better to go back." Smith was really a lovely lady.

As Meg left her office...Smith suddenly remembered something. She had to inform Meg about Liam's meeting with her since she was the CD now. But she didn't want to disturb her again. So she left it to her.

(Liam's office)

"Boss you have a lot of things in schedule today. Starting with.." Liam's assistant Kevin said. Cutting him in between Liam said " Lemme get to my seat first... Kev it's not done"

Kevin waited for Liam to settle down and he started again.. "Today first you have to sign the passed files, then check the principal amounts of those files in blue and then you will meet Mr. Robert for the deal informing him about the green check and then CD of Lylac Love and then Miss Smith ..." he was cut off again by Liam

"what did u say? I am going for a meeting to Lylac Love and with whom? Woahhh.. that lady again?" Liam asked.

"Sir I thought you loved your aunt. But it's different here.."

"I still love my aunt dumb I was talking about the meeting with the CD". He said.

"Sir it's not that important. If you want someone else on your behalf can be sent there."

"UUm.no no no she's to be done with me." Liam said while being lost.

"Sir what? Miss Gray done with you? ..sir" Kevin asked with a smirk as he was unknown with this side of his boss.

"Ayy..you Kevin...I think you are too free to do nothing" ..this statement made Kevin run away from Liam's office since he knew his boss well.

(Lylac Love)

"Uhh..this is so much to do yeah" Meg stated being frustrated.

Rose, Ishtar and Lucy enter.

"Director can we come in please." Rosy said and laughed out.

Meg got triggered by this.

She got up and threw the cushion at Rose's face with was caught by Ishtar laughing.

"I feel like being tortured by work for the first time." Meg said while pouting.

"Babe now this will be normal for you. Leave that...won't you come for lunch..it's freaking break time..my girl"....Lucy stated.

"Nope you guys enjoy. I need to work on this asap." Meg said holding a file in her hand.

Three of them left her office coz there's no way she would leave her task undone.

(Later that day in Meg's office)

There was a knock on the door.

"Yes. who's there?" Meg asked.

"May I come in Miss Gray?"...a sweet male voice heard.

"Yes please."

"Miss Gray...Boss is waiting for your meeting."...The man said.

"And who's your boss?"- Megan asked curiously.

"Sir Liam is waiting for you ma'am" ...he cleared his voice and said.

"What?....I didn't get any information about it. No that can't happen. And why ? Meeting for what?" Meg was suddenly too nervous to ask...since the last night incident she was a bit perplexed about her emotions.

"Miss can u please check your schedule?" Kevin politely asked her.

She checked and then double checked...why the hell didn't she check it before? Only then she could be ready to face him.

She face-palmed herself in mind. If only she could be ready.

"Miss boss is waiting outside"...Kevin teased her.

"Yes I am coming. Please wait."...Megan said.

"W..hat? is this?" she said pouting and started her fake crying.

"Miss Gray you're cute."

Hearing the known utter she turned around only to see Liam in her office.

Meg's hands automatically went upto her face and she turned her back again. Even she didn't know why was she doing this. She was smart enough to handle various situations and here she was EMBARRASSED.

Gathering enough courage she turned around and took her seat.

"Sir Liam take your seat please." Meg asked him.

She felt her cheeks burnt ie flustered.

"Miss Gray I think you aren't well"...Liam claimed.

He moved forward touching Meg's cheeks with his cold fingers.

Meg felt chills running down her spine when she felt his touch. She forgot about everything...the time..place and everything.

"Are you ok?" Liam already knew what he was doing to Megan and he was enjoying the view infront of him.

Meg slapped Liam's hand and rubbed her cheeks right away. Yes she was all hot. Yes down there too. One touch made her hot what could the other things do?

"Sir I guess we should start the meeting." Meg stated.

"Call the members then"

Meg called her team. All got seated. A heated conversation of 2hrs went on and finally they came to a conclusion.

Lylac Love was going to host an event to celebrate their 25th year.

But one thing wasn't right. Eye locks between Meg and Liam were continued during the whole meeting as if they really wanted a glance of each other. Was there something? Or it's just nothing?

All the members left her office except Liam.

He had been searching up venues for the celebration since it was his aunt's company celebration and he wanted to help.

Meg didn't want to disturb him.

But she was really hungry. She didn't have anything since morning. Now that everything was almost done, she wanted to go and have something.

She walked up silently to leave the office. She suddenly felt a grip on her wrist. This time a gentle one. She turned back only to find herself getting pulled to Liam's lap. Her body got all heated up. She was well aware of this but why did he do this?

"Sir....what is this?" Meg shouted.

Liam answered nothing. Instead adjusted his position snuggling closer putting his chin in her neck dip.
