Chapter 7 This Girl Was A Liar

George was a proud businessman and he was embarrassed when he found the fact that other people knew his family scandal now.

And his expression changed when he saw the man outside.

"T...Tim!"

George walked towards outside with a flattering look on his face to greet Tim while squinting at the servants to order them to pull Joanna away.

"Oh, it's just some family business, don't mind that..."

And the servants hurried themselves dragging Joanna away.

Joanna could not get rid of the four or five men who were holding her, but she saw clearly who was coming.

It was Tim Howard! He should have relations with the Browns.

Anyway, she could not think anymore but struggled with all her strength and shouted with her last hope, "Tim! Mr. Howard! Help me!"

And Tim, who was not intended to enter the house at all, turned to her slightly and looked at her with interest.

"Tim. That girl is mad, don't listen to her!"

Shirley panicked at Tim's reaction, "Hurry up! Muzzle her mouth and throw her outside!"

"Wait!"

There was some seriousness in his casual tone.

The servants didn't know whether they should muzzle Joanna or not when they saw Tim walking towards them. And during their hesitation, Tim stood in front of the servants. And they let her go at that minute.

"Well, look at who it is!"

Tim looked at the woman who was in trouble as if he was surprised. But he said in a usual tone and curved the corner of his mouth, "I almost can't recognize you when you put on clothes."

And he said with frivolity and sarcasm.

Joanna gnashed, "It's me..."

"What happened to you? How can you become like this when I leave you for a while?"

He raised his brows with an expression showing he wanted to know everything.

"The Browns robbed me of something that I must take back!"

Joanna looked at Tim in a pleading way as if she had found someone to help her out, "Please, help me!"

And George and Shirley changed their expressions when they heard Joanna said as such.

Since Tim returned to City S, numerous businessmen wanted to flatter him. Even the Browns wanted to do it, but they failed.

Nobody would know that Tim should come to their house today! What a good chance! They would never allow Joanna to mess up their day.

"Tim, don't trust her!"

Shirley hurried to interrupt Joanna's words, "She is a liar! And she was sentenced to jail three years ago. Now she is released and trying to fool you again!"

"No, What I said just now is true." Joanna tried to speak for herself.

"Shut up!" Shirley interrupted once more.

"Tim!"

Joanna made up her mind and grabbed his arm, "Help me, please! I will reciprocate your great kindness to me."

"How dare you bitch fool Tim now?"

Shirley was so anxious that she didn't disguise herself in front of Tim anymore. She raised her hand, "Try any of that!"

And Shirley slapped hard towards Joanna's face.

Yet before her palm reached Joanna's face, someone stopped Shirley's hand.

Shirley looked at the man who was wearing a mysterious smile, and her hand which was held still, and said in a confused expression, "Ti...Tim?"
