Chapter 6 Did I Come at the Wrong Time

Joanna tried hard not to utter a word because of the pain. She glared at George as if he were a stranger, "I will go. But I have to take my mother's thing with me."

"Your mother has already died and there is nothing you want." George refused without hesitation.

Joanna's mother died without medical care after Joanna was sent in jail. Joanna didn't have a chance to meet her mother for the last time and George was in charge of Joanna's mother's funeral. It could be impossible for him to get nothing.

"Is that so?"

Joanna knew that her father did not love her mother and would not keep anything of her.

But she also knew that there was something he would keep with him.

"When you divorced my mother, you gave her a 20% share of the company as compensation. My mother has already put it under my name, and that is what she left for me. It only belongs to me and it is illegal even if someone hid that contract."

Astonishment and hate replaced the anger in George's face.

"Nonsense!"

George glared at Joanna as if she were his enemy instead of daughter, "Did you forget that you are not my daughter anymore! I've told you that when you were sentenced to prison for all the shameless things you did!I've told you that you were not my daughter anymore! How can you talk about the share when you are not a Brown? You are just like your mother! Both of you don't deserve that! Get out of here! Right now!"

Joanna glared at the man in front of her and anger made her teeth clatter.

Joanna always knew that her father disliked her and her mother. But Joanna didn't know George could be so mean that he cared little about his relationship with Joanna and her mother.

He cut off the father-daughter relationship with her and hid the property her mother left. Besides, he wanted to get her out of the home. And Joanna wondered if he wanted her to die.

"I am not willing to be a Brown. But what you should not forget is, this is the Kellies' house instead of the Browns."

Joanna decided not to be generous anymore since George was ruthless and did such things to her.

"This building belongs to my mother's father and it is Kellies' property! It is you who married in Kellies' house and developed yourself with their help. And then you betrayed my mother and cut off the relationship with me. Now you want to have all the property under your name! You are stealing things from The Kelly Family!

A man with several achievements and pride hated it most when people talked about his humble past, especially what he was ashamed of himself most-he married in the Kelly family and developed with their help.

And it was spoken out by his daughter.

George was infuriated immediately, "Here! Someone comes here right now and drives this girl out! Let her get out of the house!"

Several servants came at his order and held Joanna firmly together.

"Let me go! Don't touch me!" Joanna struggled but she could not fight against a group of people and was soon dragged into the yard from the room.

"Let me go! Don't touch me! George! Shirley! You two offered no help and killed my mother! And now you two want to have Kellies' property and kick me out! What a couple!"

Joanna struggled and cursed.

"You little whore! You do have the talent to talk!" Before George said anything, Shirley had been enraged. And she rushed towards Joanna and waved her hands towards Joanna's face. And Joanna's face was bleeding the next second due to Shirley's fingernails.

"Throw her out of the house! Throw her far away from the house! Beat her on the legs if she dares to approach this house! Bitch!"

Shirley cursed behind Joanna.

The dark and golden door was opened, and a group of people was about to throw Joanna out of the house when they found a refitted vehicle stopped outside the door.

The door of the car was opened, and someone in a gray suit stepped down from the car slowly. He raised his hands and closed the open lapel, which was done attractively.

"Well!"

That man seemed to be surprised by what happened there, but his voice was calm and casual, "Did I come at the wrong time?"
