Chapter 3 Owen Howard, You Were a Bastard!

Tim had gone before Joanna changed her clothes and came out of the bathroom.

The bed was in a mess which indicated what happened last night. On the bedstand was a piece of paper. It was a check.

He seemed to regard her as an ill-intentioned woman and chose to give her money.

However, Joanna was not in the mood to think about that and the only thing she wanted was to leave there as quickly as possible.

She slipped out of the room and stopped before several steps. And she looked at the door numbers above which wrote: 2608.

It was exactly where Owen proposed to her and where she slept. But she...

She plucked her courage and was about to knock at the door when she heard people talking inside.

"Owen, there is no need to worry about it. Although those reporters didn't succeed, it is a fact no one could deny that Miss Kelly and Tim stay in a room for one night. It can be seen from the surveillance video."

Miss Kelly? Tim?

Joanna found herself was stricken by something and she could not believe what she heard.

But the two men were still talking in the room and their words went into her ears like a spell.

"Owen, I don't understand. Why were you proposing to her if you had decided to send her to Tim's bed?"

That familiar attractive voice belonged to Owen!

The fire of anger took all over her and her eyes turned red, "You did it deliberately?!"

She could not believe her ears. This man in front of her should send her into his uncle's bed deliberately to fight for family property! And she had thought about they would be a couple all her life.

She was guilty of sleeping in the wrong bed before and felt she betrayed him. And now she realized it was all his trick.

Owen rose slowly from the sofa and said expressionlessly, "Joanna, calm down."

"How can I stay calm?" Joanna almost went crazy, "Owen! Whatever you want, you can talk to me! We can figure out a way together! And I can do anything for you...but how can you do this to me?"

Owen snorted, "Since you can do anything for me, why can't you do me a small favor?"

A small favor?

Joanna was stunned.

Did he regard her as such an easy woman that could be sent to another man's bed because she said she could do anything for him? Even his uncle's bed?

Joanna could not hold her anger anymore. She raised her hand and slapped in his face.

"Owen! You Bastard!"

"Thwack!"

The next moment Owen slapped her back with strength.

"How dare you hurt me, you bitch!"

Owen stopped acting like a gentleman anymore, "Who do you think you are? A woman released from prison! Do you really think I will marry you? Let me tell you, a woman like you should feel honored to have a chance to sleep with my uncle!"
