The lights went on to their full power when a clap was heard. It was like those spooky movies she'd seen on her laptop.
Seated on the huge seat was a man in his early thirties.
She finally had a clear view of the man and then shamelessly checked him out, he had long jet black hair, plump pink lips, and pale fair skin.
It was nothing she had in mind about the won't of this company. She expected him to be chubby and have a protruding stomach.
"Sit."
She looked at the seat in front of his desk and then walked to it and sat down calmly in it.
Her eyes went to the name tag on the desk, Mr. Rossi.
Then she saw the huge guard all placed around the corner of the room, with expressionless faces.
"Skylar Smith," he said and she nodded.
"Daughter of Mr. Derrick Smith, and Mrs. Barbara Smith."
"That wasn't in my cv," she thought and then faked a grin.
A knock was heard on the door, and one of the guards opened the door.
The door opened and a busty biracial lady, wearing a skirt that exposed her bare thighs walked in and dropped a file on the table, "Here are the files, sir."
"Isn't she the Secretary?" Skylar voiced out her thought.
"Well, I thought so too, in that case, she's fired."
"Huh?" Skylar said as she looked at the horrified busty lady, "I didn't mean it that way."
Mr. Stefano cocked a grin as he rested his back on the seat, "I'm the boss here, and do you have a problem with that?"
"No, absolutely not, but I'm not comfortable with this," Skylar said as she looked at the guards whose heads were still raised.
"You can leave now," Mr. Rossi said in an intimidating voice to the lady.
The biracial lady huffed and then glared at Skylar before she walked out.
"You came for the job, didn't you?" He asked her and she bit her lip and then looked at her nails.
"You're not a kid, so I shouldn't waste my time on petty matters."
She looked at him, a little bit confused about what he meant.
"I have an unfinished business with your family."
"My family? What do you know about my family?" She asked, looking at him keenly.
Something wasn't right somewhere. This interview was so weird and disturbing to behold.
"Oh, I know a whole lot about the Smiths," He said and placed his thumb on his lip.
"Mr. Smith is a successful businessman, your mother works for as the managing director of Sasha Beauty, oh, what about you? You're just a liability to your family, the innocent little Skylar that had to be hidden in the countryside. They just didn't want you to be wrapped up in all this mess"
Hidden? Mess? What mess? Yeah, he's a mess. And a crazy maniac.
Okay, he was right about her parents but what about her brother.
Skylar just didn't get any of this, "And my brother? What do you know about him?" She questioned, hoping for a reasonable explanation for this.
"Oh yeah, I forgot, what's his name again? Ken-? No. Kevin? Yes. Kevin Smith. I know a lot about that young man."
"Here take a look at this," he said as he took a small remote from his drawer and then pressed a green button, a 14-inch monitor swung into view, and blue background with the words, Intesa Exor Rossi displayed on the monitor.
She started anxiously as it beeped to life and her brother's face was displayed on it.
"Yes. Kevin. That's him alright. She told herself."
"You see, there's your brother and some footage in it, showing that he did something very naughty."
Skylar rolled her eyes and watched keenly as a man in a black robe, walked quietly into a dark room.
He walked right up to a pillar that had a prism glass, dug his latex-gloved hands into the open he'd made, and then brought out a box.
Skylar gulped as the man turned to face the camera and Kevin's face was on display.
It was paused.
"Okay! That is so crazy!" She exclaimed, "How the hell did you get that and who are you?"
"I don't answer questions, but I'd tell you. You see, that video alone, can put your brother in prison, for a lifetime," he said and chuckled evilly.
"I'll make your father's company go bankrupt and your poor mother, hmm? She'd probably die of a shattered heart."
Skylar raised her head to look at him, it was just too much.
"Your money-loving father, made his only son shamelessly rob me of my money after duping me," Mr. Stefano said and laughed again.
"And don't worry, I'll send your father feedback that you're in New York against his wish and in my care."
"What do you want?"
"Your father's company...and you."
"Me?"
"I have a proposal for you," he said and placed his hand under his jaw.
"You see, years ago, your bother, Kevin, and your father duped me off my money."
"So this job application is a scam, just to make me come here?" She asked, feeling guilty about leaving home.
"I don't answer questions, but on seeing the priceless expression on your face, I would reconsider," he said and then stood up.
"I'm no longer interested in this or any of this!" She yelled as she stood up and grabbed her bag.
"You will get married to me!"
She stopped dead in her tracks and looked at the man in front of her. It was obvious he wasn't bluffing but she wasn't going down so easily.
"And you're gonna force me too?" She asked, trying not to sound defeated, but her voice betrayed her.
"I would love to see your father been crushed after I get what he loves besides money, you and your brother."
"And somehow I get involve in this, I don't even know you and if you have any business with my family then good, why don't you fix it yourself," she said.
"You see, I later dug into the history between your father and my father, and found out that they were rivals, even during their youthful days."
All this shit was getting on Skylar's nerve.
"Your wasting your time."
"Grammatical error, you're, not your," he said and chuckled which made Skylar pissed off.
"You may not know me because your father spent most of your life, hiding you from us. In the countryside, that's just so dumb."
"I could have easily abducted you, but it was more fun when I made your employment status, ineligible to work, and making you suffer to get to the city yourself."
"One way or the other, your family would have to suffer."
Skylar heaved a sigh as she tried to understand the hell was going on right now.
Her poor grandmother would be worried sick of her. And here she is, not knowing what else to say or do.
"My employment status?" She finally said as she stared at the man in front of her.
Yes, he had no heart. Hell, she never even knew him, and now this!
He chuckled again, "Your drive for money is so insane, mindblowing."
"Hey, watch it! I'm not greedy for money!"
"Mind the way you talk to me because you'd be the very one, on your knees, begging me."
"I AM NOT MARRYING YOU MR. ROSSI, AND THAT'S FINAL!" She yelled at him.
She had no idea where that came from, considering the look on his face. She'd have just shut the hell up.
"Good day."
He grabbed her by her arm and slammed her against the wall, throwing himself against her and pinning her to the wall.
"Let this be the last time that you ever raise your voice at me, you will do as I say and that's final. Did I make myself clear?"
Skylar's leg wobbled as she cringed her face and then nodded. He glared at her, in the most intimidating way.
"Words. Miss Smith, words."
"Yes, Mr. Rossi."

Somewhere in New York.
A tall man in a long black coat lit a cigarette with the use of a lighter.
"Right boys, remember this," he said and took a whiff of the cigar.
"They're fucking insane and dangerous."
"Don't mess this up, 'cause they're gonna be testin' us, soon."
"Till then, fuck them!" He said as he threw up his middle finger.
