Chapter 6 I'm Not A Gentleman

An hour later, the Lamborghini stopped at the gate of the Platinum Palace, which was a leisure entertainment center.

The place was fully equipped with a pub, restaurant, casino, and hotel. One could have all the fun in the world within closed doors.

The entry to the place was expensive. Therefore, it was a common hangout spot for wealthy people. One could easily tell that the ones who came here were from rich families.

The place was bustling with people even at daytime.

"Get out of the car."

Nancy pushed Murray off the car as he continued to gape at the enormous building in front of him with wide eyes.

"You loser!"

Nancy was frustrated.

She didn't want her friends to see her brother-in-law, so she began thinking of ways to get rid of him.

They were on the third floor of the Platinum Palace. Just as Nancy tried driving Murray away, a charming man in a colorful shirt ran toward her-a permanent grin etched on his face.

Nancy's face changed dramatically. She turned around to leave.

Before Murray could figure out the reason for the drastic change in her behavior, he heard a sharp voice behind him.

"Nancy, what are you doing here?" The man in a colorful shirt stood in front of Nancy, blocking her way.

Murray's brows arched as he understood what was going on.

The young man in the colorful shirt was after his sister-in-law.

"I can go wherever I want. Why do you care?" Nancy snapped.

The young man was her classmate, Gerald Lin. He had been chasing Nancy, trying to win her heart. She had turned him down several times, but he refused to give up.

"Of course, I care, Nancy. You don't know how much I miss you," Gerald Lin said, clutching his chest as his tender eyes bore into hers.

"Dear Nancy, who is this man?" Murray smiled and stood beside Nancy.

Gerald Lin didn't notice Murray at first.

Murray was wearing a simple shirt and a pair of jeans. Therefore, no one seemed to notice him.

Gerald's face darkened when he heard another man call Nancy affectionately as if they shared a special bond.

He looked Murray up and down, the disgust evident on his face.

"Who are you?"

"I... I am Nancy's family member!" Murray looked at the younger man knowingly as if he wanted Gerald to understand what he meant.

Nancy glanced at Murray, wondering what was going on.

Gerald's eyes widened with shock before he burst into laughter. "Nancy, don't tell me that he's your type."

Murray was wearing cheap clothes; he looked like someone who struggled to make ends meet. Apart from his good looks, he didn't possess any quality to impress a girl. Gerald felt that Murray was far worse than him. There was no way Nancy would like him.

Murray's confidence amused Gerald. He couldn't believe that the man was competing with him.

Murray grinned, revealing his dazzling teeth.

He understood that Gerald regarded him as his rival in love.

Nancy rolled her eyes. "Whom I like or don't like has got nothing to do with you, Gerald. Mind your business."

"Nancy, I have been after you for so long. Don't you understand my feelings for you?" Gerald frowned.

"Gosh! Don't you have self-respect? I have told you countless times that I don't like you. Why are you torturing me?" Plain disgust was written all over Nancy's face.

"Nancy, this guy is after you, isn't he?" Murray asked knowingly.

"It's none of your business!"

Murray's words added fuel to the fire. Her face reddened with rage.

"If you want, I could help you get rid of him. Your brother-in-law is good at breaking couples," Murray whispered in her ear.

Nancy smelled good.

She shook her head, laughing.

"Are you really good at breaking couples?"

Her charming smile seemed to light up her entire face.

Gerald grew furious when he saw his girl smiling with another man.

"But we are not a couple. However, if you drive him away, I will put in a good word for you in front of my sister when we go back."

"That's so nice of you. Thank you, Nancy," Murray whispered in Nancy's ear. Her face turned crimson as his breath blew across her face.

He didn't know if she was shy or angry, but her smile gave him a new sense of confidence.

Gerald witnessed their interaction as anger coursed through his veins.

"You two..." he hissed.

The young man didn't think that Nancy would fall for a worthless man.

"I know that you are after my dear Nancy, but I advise you to stay away from her!" Murray said, crossing his arms over his chest.

Nancy arched an eyebrow in appreciation. She was happy with Murray's performance.

"Your Nancy?" Gerald sneered.

"Who do you think you are? You are just a piece of shit. You don't deserve to claim her as yours."

"Yeah, I don't think I deserve her either. But I'm at least a good-looking guy!" Murray answered smugly.

Nancy pursed her lips. She had never witnessed the shameless side of Sean before.

Gerald's face darkened. "Nancy, I want you to tell me the truth."

He stepped closer, hoping to understand what was going on.

"Stay away from me!" Nancy shouted.

Murray instinctively stepped forward, blocking his way. Then, he turned his head and winked at Nancy.

Their friendly interaction infuriated Gerald. He rubbed his palms and glared at Murray.

"Get out of my way. Be a good dog and don't stand in my way."

"But I'm not a dog."

"You..."

"What? You think too much of yourself, don't you? Have you seen yourself in the mirror? Do you think you are better looking than me? Look at your clothes-it has every color of the rainbow in it. Quite frankly, I thought you were into guys. I am a bit surprised to know that you are after Nancy." Murray scoffed, standing with his arms akimbo.

Nancy's jaw dropped in shock. She didn't know that her brother-in-law was capable of arguing with people.

"What did you say? You are courting death!" Gerald was seething with rage.

Murray had insulted him in front of Nancy. He would lose face if he didn't fight back.

"Are you threatening me?" Murray provoked him.

"I'm going to fucking kill you!"

"Wait!"

Panic gripped Nancy as she thought that the two men were about to get into a fight. Just then, Murray unfolded his hands and stopped Gerald.

A frown lined her forehead.

She knew that Sean never had the audacity to fight with anyone.

"What? Are you afraid? If you are, then get out of here!" Gerald shouted.

A slow smile stretched across Murray's lips. "A gentleman doesn't fight."

Nancy rolled her eyes upon hearing his words.

'My sister has married a loser!' She wished Janice would divorce him as soon as possible.

Gerald smirked, thinking that Murray was a coward, who was looking for excuses to stall the fight.

However, before he could react, there was a loud thud.

Murray kicked Gerald and glared at him.

"But I'm not a gentleman!"

Nancy's eyes widened for a split second before she burst into laughter.

There was something strange about her brother-in-law today. He was brave and funny today.

"Holy shit! How dare you attack me?"

Gerald grunted, clutching his stomach.

He hated the man for humiliating him in front of the love of his life.

"Yes, I assaulted you. But you asked for it." Murray shrugged nonchalantly. "If you are offended, come attack me!"

Gerald rolled on the floor, wincing with pain. He wanted to pounce on Murray and beat him to death. But he was smart enough to understand the consequences.

The power of his kick revealed that Murray was stronger than him.

'Damn it! Are his legs made of steel?' Gerald felt that his internal organs were displaced within his body.

"Just wait and see. I won't let you go!" Gerald staggered to his feet and trudged toward the corridor.

"All right. I will be right here. You can attack me once you regain your strength," Murray shouted, smiling.
