Chapter 5 A Husband's Right

"Honey, you are wrong. We are husband and wife. It's natural for us to sleep together."

Murray didn't care about the nature of the relationship between Sean and Janice.

He wanted to exercise his rights as her husband now.

"So what? I am warning you, Sean. Don't ever have such ideas in your mind.

I support you, so you should follow my orders. Get out of here!" Janice barked, pointing at the door.

"And don't step into my room without my permission."

"What?" Murray shook his head in disbelief.

He couldn't believe that a woman had refused him. This had never happened before.

"Okay! But you will regret it later. Three months is all I need. Within that time, I will make you sleep with me as a loving wife would."

"In your dream!" Janice scowled at him. "Get out! Now!"

"Okay. Let's wait and see what happens after three months!" Murray turned around and left in a huff.

Janice was seething with rage.

"You are going to make me sleep with you? What a joke!

Why didn't I realize that Sean was a shameless guy?" she muttered under her breath.

Murray looked around the villa and finally found Sean's room on the first floor near the backyard.

He frowned and clicked his tongue distastefully. "Gosh, Sean is such a coward! There are so many rooms on the second floor. Why did he choose a room in the farthest corner?"

Murray made up his mind to move near Janice's room.

He wanted to be close to her.

The room next to Janice's looked clean and bright even though it remained unused for a long time. Mattresses of different kinds were aligned in a corner.

Murray smoothed the sheets and lay on the bed, resting his arm behind his head as an ambitious grin stretched across his lips.

"Wait and watch, Janice. Sooner or later, you will throw yourself at me."

The next morning, anger consumed her the moment Janice woke up.

Sean didn't wake her up that morning as usual.

She had slept till nine in the morning and was late to work.

She quickly washed her face, brushed her teeth, and got dressed.

Janice ran downstairs to reprimand him, but her anger instantly disappeared as soon as she opened the door. The delicious aroma of food wafted in the air.

"It smells heavenly!" She glanced at the dining room on the first floor and saw an array of dishes aligned on the table.

Janice rolled her eyes in annoyance.

Sean could only manage the household chores.

He was a spineless man.

She sighed and went downstairs. Murray walked out of the kitchen with a pot of porridge, smiling. He was wearing an apron, looking like a doting househusband.

Janice was furious.

She hated men like him who lived off their wives' money.

"Good morning, honey." Murray was overjoyed to see Janice.

"Hmm," Janice snorted coldly, pulled a chair, and sat down, ignoring Murray.

However, the man didn't care. He smiled and poured a bowl of porridge for her. He thought that she would appreciate his gesture, but her reaction revealed that Sean served her food every day. Perhaps she treated him as a mere servant.

'Sean was indeed a coward, ' he thought.

Janice's eyes widened the moment she took a sip of the porridge. "This tastes delicious. Did you make it?"

She had never tasted such mouthwatering porridge in her life before. It was a thousand times better than what she usually had.

"Yummy, right?" Murray asked expectantly.

However, Janice's face tightened. She rolled her eyes and looked away.

She felt that Sean had cooked for her out of pressure in the past. Otherwise, why didn't the food taste good like today?

At that moment, Janice remembered what Sean told her last night. He had vowed to make her sleep with him in three months. Her face darkened in an instant.

"It tastes okay," Janice grunted.

Murray couldn't help but laugh at her.

'What a hypocrite!'

After eating the last drop of porridge, Janice pushed the bowl toward him. "Give me another bowl," she said greedily.

"Okay." Murray suppressed his laughter and decided not to tease her.

Just then, the doorbell suddenly rang, breaking the harmony between the two. Murray glanced at Janice and walked toward the door first.

He wondered who had come early in the morning. A beautiful girl stood outside as he opened the door.

She was wearing a pair of shorts and a waist-length sun-top.

She was probably seventeen or eighteen years old, wearing heavy makeup and with braided hair.

The girl was pretty. With her heavy makeup removed, she could be as beautiful as Janice.

Besides, she exuded a sensual aura at such a young age. Her long, slender legs had the power to arouse men's desire.

The girl had been anxiously ringing the bell. When their eyes met, she scowled at Murray and pushed him away.

"My dear sister, I'm glad you are home!" She quickly ran to Janice and wrapped her in a tight embrace.

"I just called your office, but your assistant said that you hadn't arrived yet."

Nancy Tang shot a disgusted look at Murray again.

She had been worried after hearing about Sean's accident. After all, they had known each other for two years although she didn't like him.

However, after remembering what he had done, Nancy wished that the man had left them for good.

Janice would be better off without him. Sean's death would put an end to all their problems.

Murray looked at her innocently. He couldn't understand why the girl looked at him with such hatred and resentment.

He didn't expect that she was Janice's younger sister, for the two had distinct personalities.

"You are reckless, Nancy. Can't you behave like a lady from an eminent family?" Janice poked her sister's forehead dotingly.

She adored her little sister. The two shared a beautiful bond and loved each other. Before Janice got married, Nancy often slept with her on the same bed.

"The Tang family has a lady like you-that's more than enough. I cannot be graceful and elegant the way you are."

Nancy pouted.

"My dear sister-in-law, you came early. Do you want to have breakfast here?" Murray asked, smiling.

Seeing the two beautiful women, he made up his mind to stay with the Tang family.

Nancy glared at him, her nose scrunched up with distaste.

"Who is your sister-in-law?"

Her hatred for Sean intensified. If not for him, Janice would have found a better husband instead of wasting her time with the useless man who annoyed her every day.

Murray's brows furrowed as he realized that his sister-in-law hated him.

"Why did you get up early during your holiday? Where are you going?" Janice asked and handed a sandwich to Nancy, changing the course of the conversation.

She knew that Nancy despised Sean.

That was the reason why she seldom came to her house after she got married.

"Janice, you know me well." Nancy grinned and took a bite of the sandwich. Her eyes lit up as the burst of flavors exploded in her mouth.

"Hmm... this is delicious! Where did you get it from?"

"You can have one more if you like." Murray grinned.

"Did I talk to you?" Nancy glared at him.

Janice rubbed her forehead and let out a weary sigh.

"Tell me, what can I do for you?" Janice asked.

She liked her sister a lot, but her sister wasn't a disciplined woman like her. She always got herself into trouble and came to her for help.

"Janice, I'm not here to ask for help," Nancy mumbled, licking the bread crumbs off the corner of her lips. "I want to borrow your car for a day."

"Borrow my car?" Janice looked at her in confusion.

The Tang family had several cars and drivers at home. She didn't know why Nancy wanted to borrow her car.

"Well, one of my classmates is going to study abroad. My friends and I are throwing a farewell dinner for her.

I want to borrow your car to show off in front of my friends." Nancy grabbed Janice's arm and pouted like a spoiled child.

She had already bragged to her friends that she would come in a Lamborghini and they could take selfies in front of the car.

Murray looked excited.

No man could say no to Nancy if she behaved like a little kid.

Janice couldn't help but smile. Murray's heart skipped a beat-this was the first time he had seen her smile. The woman looked like an angel on earth.

Murray was determined to do whatever it took to make Janice fall for him.

"You're so young, but you have already started to show off. I don't mind lending my car to you. But you will turn eighteen only next month, and you don't have a driver's license. Who will drive you to the party?" Janice asked.

She had a lot of work at the company and couldn't accompany her sister to the party.

"Well..." Nancy pursed her lips, wondering what to do. She glared at Murray when she saw him smiling at her.

Janice glanced at the man before turning to look at her sister. "Well, let him drive you to the party then. He has nothing to do anyway."

Murray's eyes lit up.

He loved the idea of spending time with the young beauty.

"Okay! No problem!" Murray agreed.

"No way!" Nancy shook her head fiercely.

She hated incompetent men like Sean. She would rather go with a driver than let him accompany her.

Moreover, Nancy's friends would make fun of her if they got to know that she had a worthless brother-in-law.

"Nancy, listen to me. He is at least family. I can rest assured if he is with you," Janice advised.

Moreover, she didn't want to see Sean stay home all day long with nothing better to do.

"That's right. Don't worry, Nancy. I'm a good driver," Murray said with a grin.
