Chapter 8 Handle LH Hotel's Advertising Plan

When Kira heard Nathan's words, her first reaction was to refuse.

Before she could do so, Reid said, "I agree. I trust Kira. I'm actually glad that she is in charge."

He sounded very casual. It was as if he and Kira were really close friends. 'Why does he sound so intimate?'

Kira was full of resentment. But she didn't dare to say anything. For the sake of the advertising project, she had to pretend to be cheerful and make Reid feel good.

Reid added, "But I have one condition. Kira needs to know more about the outstanding aspects of our hotel, so she must stay there for a month. I believe that she can create a perfect advertising plan once she fully understands our hotel's features and the first-class service."

His words made Kira suddenly raise her head and look at him with disbelief in her eyes. He just smiled gently at her and asked softly, "Don't you think so, Kira?"

Kira faked a smile and said, "Well, Mr. Shen, I don't think that's a good idea. After all, I'm very busy at work. I probably won't be able to spare so much time to stay in your hotel for a month."

But as soon as she finished her words, Nathan said, "Mr. Shen is right, Miss Lin. You have to fully understand the features and amenities of LH Hotel, so you can come up with the most perfect advertising plan."

Kira was rendered speechless. She didn't expect that Nathan would just agree with Reid without even asking her.

She leaned over, pulled his sleeve, and whispered, "Mr. Xu, what are you talking about? Have you forgotten that I have several advertising plans for our clients that I have to finish? I have to submit most of them by the end of the month."

Nathan smiled at Reid before turning to Kira and said in a low voice, "Don't worry, Miss Lin. You can ask the deputy director to take over these plans. If it doesn't work, I'll find another way. We have to prioritize Mr. Shen now, so you have to do your best to satisfy him."

"But..."

Nathan saw that Kira was still hesitating, so he said clearly, "Miss Lin, Mr. Shen just said that if he is pleased with our advertising plan, our company will become a partner of Shen Group. We will handle all the advertising programs of all their products next season."

Shen Group had a wide range of businesses from daily necessities, food, electrical appliances, to technology. They were also involved in the real estate and finance business.

"If our company gains a partnership with Shen Group and handles all of their advertising programs, we don't have to worry about our performance this year. Miss Lin, I am optimistic about you, and I believe you can do it."

"But Mr. Xu, I..."

Kira felt guilty. Nathan had high hopes for her. But she was unwilling to deal with Reid, who she thought was as cunning as a fox.

"Miss Lin, how about this? If you stay in the hotel for a month, you will still receive your salary. Then I will give you an additional bonus. Will that be okay?"

With such an offer, Kira had to bite the bullet and agree.

"All right, I agree. But Mr. Xu, I also have to say that I can only do my best. As for the result, I can't really promise that it's going to be foolproof."

Nathan didn't mind Kira's last sentence. He was already satisfied that she agreed. Grinning from ear to ear, he looked at Reid and said, "Mr. Shen, Miss Lin is free now. She can check in at any time."

Reid pursed his lips, but he didn't show any expression on his face. It was as if he had already expected this outcome.

He nodded slightly and said, "Okay, then. Kira can stay in LH Hotel starting tomorrow. I will ask the staff there to arrange all the check-in related matters."

Seeing that Reid made the decision without hesitation, Nathan felt happier. A triumphant smile was plastered on his face as he stood up and said, "In that case, I'll leave the two of you to discuss the rest of the matters. I'm leaving now."

Kira's gaze followed Nathan as he walked to the door. In the blink of an eye, he was gone. She couldn't help but whine in her head, 'Can you not leave me alone to face Reid?'

But God didn't hear her inner voice. Nathan disappeared behind the closed door and wouldn't be back anymore.

The next moment, there was a pin-drop silence inside the meeting room.

Neither Kira nor Reid said anything. With a faint smile on his face, he just stared at her quietly.

It had been five years, but she hadn't changed at all. When she saw him, she always looked like a frightened rabbit.

Kira felt so embarrassed, but she had no other choice. She had to speak to start their discussion. "Mr. Shen, do you have special requirements for this advertisement?"

Reid put down his crossed legs, looked at Kira, and said, "Kira, call me Reid. Mr. Shen sounds a bit strange. Don't regard me as an outsider."

As he spoke, he stood up, walked towards her with an innate aura, and sat down beside her.

Kira looked at him and moved her body quietly, trying to keep herself away from him.

She then said, "I don't think it's a good idea to call you by your first name. Since we are talking about business here, isn't it more appropriate that I call you Mr. Shen?"

While she moved to the side, Reid also moved closer to her until she reached the end of the sofa. There was no space for her to move anymore.

He said slowly, "Just call me Reid."

Kira was too embarrassed to say anything.

Reid looked at her and suddenly asked, "Weren't you an intern in C City? Why are you here in A City now?"

Kira was stunned for a moment at the sudden change of the topic. Then, she answered honestly, "The job in this company is better paid, so I chose to come back to A City."

"Oh, really? Your answer sounds a little superficial," he said.

"Of course, I am a commoner who works to live a better life. So naturally, I will choose a job which is better paid. Unlike you, you have..."

Kira abruptly stopped.

Reid raised his eyebrows. He could already guess what she was going to say.

He was about to say something when Kira suddenly spoke up again.

"Mr. Shen, how did you know that I worked as an intern in C City?" she asked.

As far as she could remember, Reid flew to D City for training a month before his graduation. So it was impossible for him to know where she would do her internship after graduation.

Reid lowered his eyes so that Kira wouldn't see what he was thinking.

After a while, he said calmly, "I came back a year later. When I came back, I heard from some member of the student union that you went to C City for your internship."

"Oh, I see."

His explanation didn't surprise Kira anymore.

But still, she said doubtfully, "I heard from someone that you were supposed to stay in D City for three years. Why did you come back ahead of time?"

Reid's grandfather was a soldier who held a high position in the army. He had always wished that his only grandson could also receive military training, and Reid granted his wish. Although Reid didn't intend to join the army, the training he would receive was absolutely more rigorous.

So when he was in his senior year in college, Reid went to D City for his training without telling anyone. Even his friends didn't know about it at all.

It was only later when almost everyone in the campus heard the news. But Kira was the last person to know.
