Chapter 8 The Woman Wearing A Mask

"What?" Esteban knitted his brows in confusion.

"Why do you want to take the boy home?" asked Kendall.

"Zara loves children, so I'm going to gift this boy to her. Moreover, he is cute. I'm sure Zara will love him. This would perhaps convince her to marry me."

Kendall's jaw dropped in shock at Nathan's words.

"Nathan, wasn't that a long time ago? Do you still have a crush on Zara? That woman is a wild cat. Be careful; otherwise, she would pounce on you." He shuddered. Kendall knew that Nathan had opened the bar for his childhood sweetheart. It was an effort to please Zara. However, the woman had a bad temper.

The fact that both his best friends had fallen in love with their childhood sweethearts always bothered Kendall. He had never met anyone who tugged his heartstrings.

"Oh, I don't mind. In fact, she just ignores me. I have been fooling around with other women to make her jealous. But she doesn't even bat an eyelash at me. Tell me, what's wrong with me? Why doesn't she like me?" Nathan whined.

Just when Kendall searched for the right words to console his friend, Esteban spoke.

"She probably wants to be with someone manly."

Nathan's jaw dropped in shock. He grabbed his glass and threw it at Esteban.

However, Esteban was quick. He kicked the glass, making it crash against the opposite wall with a loud bang.

The soundproof room contained the commotion within its four walls.

Otherwise, the manager would have barged in, thinking that the men were fighting.

Kendall looked at his friends and burst out laughing.

"Damn it, Esteban! You have hit the nail on the head. Any woman would feel insecure if her boyfriend is more beautiful than her."

"Fuck off, guys!"

Nathan glared at his friends and picked up another glass. He emptied the contents in one gulp and slammed the glass on the table.

The manager knew Nathan's habit of hitting people with glasses, so he had hoarded several glasses in the private room.

Nathan let out a loud burp and opened his mouth to say something. However, something happening outside the room stopped him. He peered through the one-way mirror and saw a group of people.

'Aren't they Zara's men?' he wondered.

However, the woman beside them piqued his curiosity. She was wearing a butterfly mask, concealing most parts of her face except her succulent lips.

"Esteban, is it just me, or do you see Zara's men too?" asked Nathan, squeezing his eyes in confusion. "She doesn't like me dealing with her men. She will break ties with me if I do something to them. But I see an unknown woman leading them. Who is she?"

Esteban followed Nathan's gaze and saw the enchanting black figure in the crowd.

The people had stopped dancing and were staring at the woman wearing the butterfly mask in awe.

Her hair was tied to a ponytail. The black clothes clinging to her body revealed her voluptuous figure. Her face, under the mask, roused everyone's interest.

Esteban raked his eyes along her long, slender legs. He saw her heel crushing the distorted image of a man on the dance floor. The woman looked like an empress, who was paving her way towards the throne.

Esteban's breath caught in his throat. The woman seemed to attract him at first sight. Therefore, he decided to woo her.
