Chapter 7 Gathering At JS Bar

Margaret woke up to the buzzing of her cellphone. She fumbled on the nightstand and squinted at the caller ID. It was a call from her close friend, Zara Lan.

"Margaret, my men has been beaten. Teach them a lesson for me, will you? Make them pay the price for their mistakes. I will take my revenge after I return."

Zara sounded lethargic. Margaret sometimes wondered if Zara was a wild cat in human form, who liked torturing people.

Even though Zara wasn't good at stealing, she had the best performance in ST Group. Margaret really envied her friend.

"Where are you now?" asked Margaret. She wasn't willing to help Zara.

"I'm in the UK. I have come here on a mission."

Margaret decided to compromise since Zara was currently in the UK.

"Where are they?"

"In the JS Bar."

Margaret shoved her phone into her back pocket and looked at the time. It was already nine in the evening. She had nothing to do. Teaching those people a lesson sounded better than idling away at home.

JS Bar was the biggest and most luxurious bar in A City.

Spending time at the bar was one of the most favorite activities of the people here. The bar was a whole new world in the city. The blaring music, colorful lights, and the people swaying to the rhythm brought life to the place.

People could forget the stress of their monotonous life and escape in the bliss of intoxication.

Three handsome men had gathered in one of the private rooms in the bar. Their laughter resonated through the muffled music.

"Esteban, no wonder you forbade us from going to your engagement party. Were you worried that we would laugh at you? Why didn't you tell us that you have a son? We are not stingy people. We will shower him with gifts,'' one of them teased.

The man was wearing gold-rimmed glasses. An evil smile graced his lips as he sat cross-legged on the sofa. He was Kendall Kong, the future successor of ZT Air Group.

He couldn't stop himself from teasing his friend after hearing what had happened at the engagement party.

"Kendall, I don't think that Esteban was worried about us not buying gifts for his son. He was perhaps afraid that we'd been upstaged. Among the three of us, Esteban is the most serious person. He isn't playful like us. The man despises women,"

Nathan Situ teased. He was seating on the sofa, sipping on his glass of red wine.

Nathan had feminine features that made him look prettier than women. He was the only heir of the Situ family. His feminine features confused the people meeting him for the first time. Therefore, he put extra effort to bring out his masculinity.

Esteban, Kendall, and Nathan were best friends despite their differences in character.

"Hey, I'm not playful, Nettie. I'm also a serious man like Esteban," Kendall complained.

However, before he could finish his words, a glass of cold wine was thrown at his face.

"Don't call me Nettie!"

Kendall quickly dodged the glass, making it smash against the wall.

Kendall looked at the shattered remnants of the glass and patted his chest to calm down his racing heart.

"Damn it! Are you out of your mind, Nathan?

Do you want to kill me? My mother would have lost her precious son if I hadn't ducked in time."

"You asked for it."

Nathan sneered. He picked another glass, poured wine into it, and began to drink as if nothing had happened. Nathan's calmness infuriated Kendall.

However, he could understand the reason behind his reaction. Nathan hated that he looked like a woman. In fact, his perfect features made him look prettier than most women. Kendall called him Nettie as if he were a woman, which seemed to add fuel to the fire.

Kendall cleared his throat and looked away.

The silent atmosphere bored him to death, so he decided to tease Esteban. "Say something, Esteban. Is that child really your son? Didn't you say that your heart belonged to Tiana, and only she could be the mother of your children? When did Margaret An come into the picture?"

Tiana Zhan was Esteban's first love; they were childhood sweethearts. But the woman had left the country to pursue higher education. Esteban couldn't forget her. He hadn't fallen in love with any other woman since then.

The mention of Tiana's name rekindled the emotions that Esteban had been trying to suppress in his heart.

"Does it matter? If you really care about it and like the boy, better take him home,'' he snapped.

Esteban didn't want to talk about Tiana.

She must have forgotten him. She would have been married to someone by now.

Kendall's face turned pale.

"No, thanks. If that boy is indeed your son and I take him home, Aunt Melody will skin me alive. If he isn't your son and I take him home, then my mother will skin me alive."

Nathan spat his drink out.

He wiped his lips, ignoring the disgusted look on his friends' faces. Nathan knew that Esteban was trying hard to forget Tiana.

As his friend, Nathan knew Esteban was still mending his broken heart. He didn't say anything about Tiana. Nathan couldn't solve his own problems, how was he going to help Esteban?

"Esteban, since Kendall doesn't want the boy, give him to me. I want to take him home." Nathan smirked.
