Chapter 7 Dissolute Bride (Part One)

Situated at the southern part of the city, Cloud Mountain was as beautiful as a painting, with many tourists coming from all over all year round. It boasted of a clear spring winding down the mountain and flowing straight into a huge lake with green waves. The Heavenly Emperor Hotel was built in this scenic spot and was regarded as the most luxurious five-star hotel in the city. At the moment, all the big shots in the city were gathered here.

In the hotel's vicinity was a huge and spectacular church.

Today, the whole city was going to celebrate a momentous event-the union between the CEO of the Fang Group and the daughter of the CEO of the Ding Group. Everyone related to these two groups rushed over from all over the country.

Colorful balloons filled the air. On the huge yard, under the bright blue sky and white clouds, they witnessed the lavish and grand wedding of the couple from two of the most influential families in the city.

Selina stood in front of the church. The bridegroom was her senior whom she had a crush on for three years when she was still in the university.

Today, the love of her life was about to get married. Unfortunately, she wasn't the one he was going to marry. At the thought of this, her heart sank again.

She had waited for him for so long and loved him for so many years, and she was planning to tell him about how much she loved him once she became someone who deserved him. She was head over heels for him! But, now she realized that it was too late for her to make her dream a reality.

All of it was no more than a dream.

She had already lost count of the number of times she had pictured herself walking down the aisle with him in this church. Sad to say, this turned out being just an illusion, and she could clearly feel the difference between illusion and reality.

The bride in today's wedding was the apple of the eye of the CEO of the Ding Group. She was as beautiful as a fairy that came straight from a fairytale. It could be said that she and Spenser were truly made for each other.

"Alas!" Selina sighed then turned around and was about to leave. The man she loved so deeply had married someone else. All she could do now was silently give them her blessing. For as long as he was happy, she would be satisfied!

The cool wind blew, but it wasn't enough to blow away the sadness in her heart.

Just as she lowered her head and took a few steps, she suddenly heard an uproar coming from behind her. Selina quickly turned around to check what it was. The noise seemed to be coming from the hotel. Could it be the guests cheering for the success of the wedding ceremony?

However...

"Spenser, I was framed... I was framed. You have to believe me. Please!" A woman who was freaking out held Spenser's hand and begged for his forgiveness.

'Eh? Isn't that woman the bride Vivian? Why is she crying like that in front of so many people?' Vivian's beautiful face was covered with tears, which made her look so embarrassing in front of all those celebrities. Selina looked at them in confusion. At that moment, she could see the somber expression on Spenser's face, and he kept walking forward without saying a word.

"What's going on?" The crowd began to whisper among themselves.

"Ha ha! Rumor has it that the bride is so shameless. Today is her wedding day. But, last night, she lay in bed with another man in a hotel room. Unfortunately for her, the scene of them doing the deed was secretly filmed, and it was played on the big screen today."

"What? You've got to be kidding me! You mean to tell me that the video of the bride cheating on the bridegroom with another man was played at their wedding ceremony?" The scene caused a bit of an uproar, and the people talked about the wedding in utter disbelief.

"Yes, I swear I'm telling the truth. It's a pity that you haven't seen how lewd she looked and heard her moans and screams. Apparently, she's really great in bed. It isn't a stretch to say that even the whores wouldn't be able to hold a candle to her. Even the guests in attendance couldn't help feeling embarrassed."

"What? That can't be true! Who would dare to play such a video in front of so many people?"

"As it turned out, the man she slept with was the enemy of the Fang Family."

"Enemy? How could Miss Vivian be so heartless as to sleep with the enemy of her future husband?!"

Selina stood aside, eavesdropping on the conversations of the women. Left utterly dumbfounded, she hurriedly turned to look at the bride and groom. Spenser had always treated Vivian so well, and that was how she would repay him?

"Spenser, I think this is all just a big misunderstanding. You should make a decision only after we figure it all out. We can't cancel the marriage just like that. There are so many people present. Are you going to let everyone make a laughing stock out of us?" a man, who appeared to be in his fifties, came over and said with a long face. He was none other than the father of Spenser and the chairman of the Fang Group.
