Chapter 3 Sister

As soon as Megan Xi walked into the bar, she was dazzled by the bright and colorful lights. She couldn't even open her eyes. Many people were on the dance floor, shaking and twisting their bodies to the rhythm of the music. At the sight of this, she wanted to turn around and leave at once.

But she knew very well that she couldn't. She came here to look for someone. No matter how noisy and chaotic this place was, she had to bite the bullet and walk inside.

Several inebriated men nearly knocked into her at the hall. They were so drunk that they couldn't even stand or walk steadily. There were also some who tried to chat her up, but she just ignored them. Megan found her way around the bar, but she failed to find the person she was looking for. When she was about to give up and head for the next bar, she saw several young men and women sitting in the corner, playing finger-guessing game and drinking.

Among them, Rebecca Xi was the most eye-catching one. She was young and glamorous, and her perfect figure attracted enough attention. At this moment, several young men surrounded her and kept urging her to drink. And Rebecca didn't refuse. She took the glass and drank it in one gulp.

As soon as she saw the scene, Megan strode towards their table and grabbed the glass from Rebecca's hand. She put it down on the table forcefully and shouted, "Rebecca, stop it already and come home with me right now!"

The young men sitting around all looked at her unhappily. They didn't expect that such a bold woman would interrupt their game. So before Rebecca could say anything, one of them shouted back, "Who the hell are you? Rebecca is having a good time with us now. Why are you forcing her to go with you?"

"Beauty, why don't you come and drink with us?" chimed in another young man.

"Yes, that's right! Have fun with us!"

All the young men started to shout as well, urging Megan to stay.

However, she just ignored them. Seeing that Rebecca was a little drunk, she said to her in a hurry, "Rebecca, if you don't come home with me now, I will call Dad and ask him to come over."

Rebecca jumped up from the sofa when she heard Megan's words. She pointed at Megan's nose and scolded, "Don't try to threaten me with Dad! Are you happy to see me like this? You want Dad to come over and see me like this, so he will hate me more and feel that I am useless. In his eyes, only you are a good daughter."

When she saw that Rebecca stood up and scolded her furiously, Megan was also enraged.

Last year, Rebecca made trouble in a bar and hurt someone. She almost went to jail because of it. Fortunately, their father did his best to convince the victim to drop the charges. Only a year had passed, and here she was now, drinking in a bar with these good-for-nothing young men and women again.

If it hadn't been for their father, who was so worried about Rebecca and called her to look for her, Megan wouldn't waste her time coming to this place. But now, she was only scolded by Rebecca just like that. Her kindness came to no good.

"Rebecca, can you be a little reasonable sometimes? You've been here all day long. Do you even know that Dad is so worried about you?" Megan felt like her heart would explode with rage. Rebecca was so disappointing. She only made their father worry again and again.

"If he is really worried about me, he should have asked Andrew to help me find a job instead of helping you!" Rebecca yelled. Her eyes were full of unwillingness and hatred towards Megan. She gritted her teeth and added, "Don't you ever think that you can live a happy life with Andrew, Megan. Let me tell you, Andrew is mine!"
