Chapter 7 Poor Mrs. Mu

Cathy woke up the next morning.

She opened her eyes and looked at the bright ceiling.

'This doesn't look like a hospital,' she thought, letting her eyes wander across the exquisite room.

She sat up as the place looked breathtaking.

Her eyes widened in awe as she took in every little detail. The room was bigger than her previous house.

The walls were painted in subtle shades of pink, white, and blue. The faint fragrance added a feminine touch to the place.

Cathy turned around. Her gaze landed on the dresser in front of her, which was loaded with cosmetics and skincare products for women.

Excitement bubbled in her heart; she immediately ran to the dresser.

The names and instructions on the bottles were written in a foreign language. Cathy never bothered to learn a new language, so she couldn't identify the products and their brand.

Just when she was marveling at the products, the door flew open.

Cathy sheepishly put the things back in place and turned around.

Bliss walked in with a group of women in uniforms.

Each one was holding a plate.

"Mrs. Mu, you are awake." Bliss beamed.

Cathy felt comfortable around Bliss perhaps because she had woken up to the woman's smiling face after the accident.

"Bliss, where am I? Why am I here?" Cathy remembered being with Francis before passing out. She had no clue as to what happened after that.

The smile on Bliss' face vanished in an instant. "Mrs. Mu, they said that you have amnesia, but I didn't believe them. Looks like they were right. You don't even remember your room."

"What? This is my room?"

Cathy fell silent as she realized that it was Catherine's room.

"Well... I don't remember anything. This place looks strange to me."

"Don't worry about it, Mrs. Mu. I feel that you have changed." Bliss smiled.

"What? What do you mean?" Panic rose in Cathy's heart as she wondered if Bliss found out that she wasn't Catherine.

"You seem like a different person."

Cathy's heart began to hammer in her chest.

Bliss looked serious now. "You used to look depressed, Mrs. Mu. I feel you have become more cheerful now."

"Really?" Cathy forced a smile. 'Looks like Catherine must have lived a miserable life.

How could she possibly happy after marrying a heartless man?'

"Mrs. Mu, I've asked the cook to prepare breakfast for you. What do you like to eat?" Bliss feared that Cathy would get depressed again, so she gestured for the servants to show her the food.

Cathy followed Bliss' gaze and saw the servants holding plates with different kinds of food.

The plates were loaded with fried eggs, bread, bacon, hamburger, milk, cereal, coffee, and sliced fruits.

Cathy's mouth watered.

She had never eaten such a hearty breakfast before. "What would you like to have this morning, Mrs. Mu?"

Bliss asked. Cathy raised her brows as her stomach growled with hunger.

"Can I have some of everything?"

The servants gasped in shock and exchanged glances.

They wondered how she'd be able to finish everything.

Ignoring their reaction, Cathy reached out for the food.

"Mrs. Mu, are you going to eat with your hand?" asked Bliss. However, Cathy ignored their inquisitive gaze and began to dig into the food.

She was ravenous and couldn't stop eating.

Soon, Cathy emptied the plates and let out a loud burp.

The servants' eyes widened in shock.

However, a wave of emotion engulfed Bliss.

She had never seen Cathy eat this much before.

Her eyes glistened with tears as she believed that Cathy had been starving at the hospital.
