Chapter 6 Anger

In the private VIP room of the LM Bar, a tall figure was slumped in a sofa, nursing a glass of wine. Sitting with him were Roy, Frank, and Jim.

Nathan guzzled the wine like it was water. Depressed, he couldn't help but replay in his mind what had happened between him and Delilah.

After a while, he couldn't take it anymore and slammed the glass on the table. "Roy, get some barmaids in here," he barked.

Roy looked at him in bewilderment. Was he serious?

Frank and Jim were surprised, too. Was this really their friend? How could he ask for such a thing?

Despite his initial shock, Roy did as what he was told. He raised his hand and called the head barmaid of the LM Bar over, and asked her to summon several barmaids.

Minutes later, girls started streaming into the VIP room, filling the air with their sweet laughter.

Nathan raised his head casually and eyed the barmaids standing in front of him. He reached out and pulled the nearest one over to sit next to him. Then, he pushed the rest of the barmaids into the arms of Roy and the other guys.

The barmaid Nathan picked sat on his lap and tried to get his attention, stroking his chest sensually.

Nathan indulged her for a bit.

"HMM... Mr. Nathan... " The barmaid moaned his name, trying her best to arouse the man. It was obvious she looked at this situation as an opportunity to get close to Nathan.

Just as she was leaning in for a kiss, Delilah's figure suddenly flashed through Nathan's mind.

He quickly turned the other cheek, and the barmaid's lips landed on his cheek.

Nathan frowned in disgust and started to shrink away from the woman's advances. He couldn't get Delilah out of his head. She was a young and sweet girl, and he liked her very much. When facing women other than her, he felt so dirty.

Finally, he couldn't take it anymore. He pushed the woman on his lap onto the floor. "Ouch!" the woman screamed, shocked by the sudden shove. She looked up at Nathan's handsome face and whined, "Mr. Nathan, what's the matter with you? Why'd you push me? It hurts!"

"Shut up!" Nathan exploded in anger. The whole VIP room suddenly fell silent. All eyes were on him. "How dare you touch me? Do you want to die?"

"I... I, I don't know. I just wanted to make you happy. I... I thought you'd like it!" Helpless, the woman burst into tears.

Seeing her cry like this only served to annoy Nathan even more. He didn't like women who always cried.

"Get out!" he roared.

All the barmaids fled the VIP room as fast as they could, as though they wanted to escape from the clutches of the devil himself.

The three men, Frank, Jim and Roy, looked at each other in shock. They were about to try to calm their friend down when Nathan shot them a murderous glare. "You all get out of here, too!"

"Okay, okay, man, relax. We're leaving!" Frank said in a last ditch effort to calm Nathan down. When he saw that it seemed to have worsened his mood, the three stood up hurriedly and left the room.

Soon, it was just Nathan left in the VIP room. He sank back into the sofa dejectedly, and the petite figure flashed in his mind again. He knew he had feelings for her, but he also knew he needed to stay her brother. Despite this, he was growing ever reluctant to let her go. Why was it getting more and more difficult to control his own heart?

He knew that she had only said those words to him because she was drunk, but it seemed to stir something in his heart. He really longed to be with her, but was such a relationship possible?
