Meet again? Has she even met him before?
"You won't believe how long I have been searching for you. It's been eight long years. Thank goodness I found you."
Amy looked on in surprise. She didn't know this man who claimed to have been searching for her for many years.
"How did I get here?" she asked carefully.
"Well, you had an accident. According to one of my workers, you walked absent mindedly into the road and got hit. You were immediately rushed to the hospital. You were unconscious for two whole days. It's good to know you are alive."
"No it isn't. What's good about being alive when I lost my baby?" she cried.
He held her hands reassuringly.
"Stop crying. In future, we will make beautiful children again."
What was he saying?
"Do I know you? Have we met before?"
"Dearest. It seems there's a lot you can't recall. But for now, the most important thing is to get well."
Amy was surprised and puzzled. What
happened? Why did he say there was a lot she couldn't recall?
The doctor came in for his check up. He bowed respectfully before the young man.
"Good day young master Wayne."
Logan stood up from the bedside chair and said to the doctor,
"Take good care of her. Do your best to see that she recovers quickly."
"Yes, young master."
Logan glanced and smiled at her one last time and was gone.
The doctor was extra nice and careful while taking care of her. She was clearly no small person. Whoever Logan had personally come to see in the hospital was very special.
"That's all for now, Miss. If you have any other problems or pains, don't hesitate to let me know."
"Okay, Doctor. Thank you."
"Emm, excuse me doctor," Amy halted him at the door.
"Yes, Miss."
"Did I lose my memory after the accident?"
"No, you didn't. You are only stressed and you need a lot of rest right now."
"That....that young man, is he really Master Wayne?"
"Oh yes. That's young master Wayne. You are so lucky. Miss, I'm sorry I have to attend to other patients."
Amy wasn't an elite, neither did she belong to the people of high class. But everyone knew the Wayne family.
Young Master Wayne was the heir to Wayne group and the biggest ceo in the country!Little wonder his face was a bit familiar. She had seen that face in magazines and on the television.
But what she didn't understand was why he came to see her and the things he said to her.
Was there anything she had forgotten? What could it be?
She ransacked her head for answers but what she got in response was a bang in her head. She could not afford to think too much in that state. She needed as much rest as she could get. She only hoped that the answers arrived soonest.
For the next few days, fruits, dishes and other necessary requirements were sent to Amy on a daily basis.
"Could it be young master Wayne behind all these?" Amy couldn't help but wonder.
Somehow, Amy hoped to get a call from Anderson. She wanted him to call her and tell her how sorry he was. How much he missed her and wanted her back.
Another part of her was filled with anger and bitterness. She wanted to get back at him for how he treated her despite all the love she showed him.
For cheating on her, even to her face, and for making her lose her baby, Amy wanted vengeance.
There on the hospital bed, she made up her mind to start life again. She would go back and put her wonderful certificate and credentials into good use. This way, she hoped that one day, she will rise in power.
The first question was where she would go after she left the hospital. Her father's house was a no. She was despised at home and they didn't want her around them.
"A penny for your thoughts, sweetheart,"
Amy turned and saw Logan Wayne in front of her. She was in deep thought that she didn't notice his entry.
She was certain that she was conscious now. She wasn't seeing things as she thought.
Truly, Logan Wayne was in her ward! And he was smiling at her! The CEO of Wayne group was someone who never smiled.
"Y..young..m.ma..master Wayne?" she stuttered.
"Yes,it's me," he clarified her doubts.
"You can call me Logan. I have come to fulfill my promise. I'm sorry it took eight whole years."
"What promise? What are you talking about?"
"You saved my life eight years ago. When I recovered, I looked everywhere for you but it seemed you disappeared into thin air. Back then, I promised to take care of you, be responsible for you and make you the happiest woman ever. I'm here now to fulfill that promise."
A puzzled look appeared on her face. She knew nothing like that ever happened in her life. That man was mistaken! Eight years ago, she knew she was still in her parents house and there was no way she would come in contact with a Wayne.
"I'm not mistaken. You are the one," he said as if he knew her thoughts.
The ringing of his phone interrupted the silence of the lodge. He frowned and answered,
"I will be there now."
He turned and left. That was the last time Amy saw him.
Luck shone on Amy when she stumbled on an old friend. The lady had come to visit a relation who worked in the hospital.
Moved with pity, she decided to house Amy for the time being. She moved in with her friend after she left the hospital. Her first problem was solved. The second was to get a job.
Three days after she was discharged, she was invited for a job interview by one of the prestigious companies she submitted an application.
"Congratulations Miss. You have made it through the three stages of the interview!"
Amy heaved a sigh of relief.
"Go into the room by your left for the final stage."
She put herself together and knocked on the door. She opened the door when she was invited in.
She stopped in her tracks when she saw who it was. Noticing her hesitation, the man raised his face and looked at her.
