Chapter 9 FAREWELL

#Jakarta, Indonesia, December 2010

Rehan and Budi Budiman took Rachel to Soekarno Hatta International Airport, and this time Budi Budiman was the driver for Rachel and Rehan. This was because Rehan wanted to keep Rachel's hiding place a secret.

They arrived at Soekarno Hatta International Airport at 7 p.m., while Rachel's flight to Japan was scheduled to depart at 9 p.m.

The three Indonesian mafia members spent their time in the VIP lounge having dinner together and chatting. A warm, familial atmosphere radiated from the three of them.

"Uncle Budi, I'm entrusting my father to you for 10 months. Please take care of him because he's very reluctant to eat rice before arguing with me for 10 minutes about eating a plate of rice." Rachel said while pulling out a mild cigarette from her bag.

"You smoke? Since when?" Rehan asked, raising his eyebrows.

Rachel nodded while lighting her cigarette, "I just started smoking. What's wrong, Dad?" Rachel asked, exhaling cigarette smoke.

"Rachel, my child, smoking can cause infertility and make it difficult to have children." Rehan said, taking a deep breath.

"Is that really true? Uncle Budi Budiman, a heavy smoker, has proven to be a strong father and successfully continued his lineage. Uncle Budi has five daughters from three wives. Dad is also a smoker, though not as much as Uncle Budi, and Dad has me as his own flesh and blood, unless Dad wants to deny it and say that I'm not his biological child." Rachel replied, taking another drag on her cigarette and calling the waiter to order whisky and wine.

Rehan could only open his mouth but couldn't refute what his beloved daughter had said.

"Hahaha, it turns out that besides being a martial arts expert, my niece is starting to use her mouth correctly and appropriately. Uncle is proud of you, Rachel!" Budi Budiman patted Rehan's back while laughing.

{Damn you, Budi Budiman, watch out if I find out your son is smoking; I'll retaliate and support your son to keep smoking!} Rehan muttered to himself.

"Rachel, my dear daughter, once you arrive in Japan, one of Nakamura's men will pick you up. For your safety, I've asked Nakamura not to let you stay in a hotel. You'll likely stay in a house with one of Nakamura's trusted associates. I hope you understand my concerns, Rachel!" Rehan said while lighting his cigarette.

"I don't mind at all, wherever I sleep. However, there's one thing I will definitely do." Rachel said while looking at her father's face.

"What is it?" Rehan asked curiously.

"Anyone who dares to touch me will be killed or have their hands cut off, and I hope that if any Japanese Yakuza dares to harass me and my father hears about it from Sensei (Master) Nakamura. "I ask my father not to hate me!" Rachel said as she extinguished her cigarette.

"I won't object; in fact, I'll support you in eliminating all the Yakuza who insult you!" Budi Budiman said with a serious expression to Rachel.

"Hey, Budi Budiman! Rachel's father is me, not you, and the man Rachel calls Father is named Rehan, not Budi Budiman! You can take over the Black Wolf we founded together, but you cannot take over and control my beautiful girl. Do you understand, Budi Budiman?" Rehan said, glaring sharply at Budi Budiman and clenching his fist.

"Ups!" Budi Budiman said, covering his mouth with his right hand.

"You....!" Rehan's tone rose as he glared at Budi Budiman.

"Father, no matter what, I am Rachel, the daughter of Rehan, a renowned Godfather in Indonesia, and my mother is Kurenai, a Japanese Yakuza woman. As for Uncle Budi Budiman, he is my uncle!" Rachel said, trying to ease the tension between Rehan and Budi Budiman.

"Damn it, I'll lose 5 million rupiah!" Budi Budiman muttered.

"What do you mean, Uncle?" Rachel said, raising her eyebrows in confusion.

Rachel looked at Budi Budiman and Rehan, seeking an explanation.

"Sorry, just kidding.....Sorry, just kidding!" Rehan said, smiling and laughing heartily.

"Huh?" Rachel tilted her head, not understanding her father's words.

Shortly after that, a female waitress brought a bottle of whisky and wine, then poured both alcoholic beverages into three empty glasses.

Budi Budiman tipped the waitress a hundred thousand rupiah and asked her to leave the three of them alone. After the waitress left, Budi Budiman and Rehan laughed again while still seeing the annoyed expression on Rachel's face.

"Forgive me, my daughter's father. I made a bet with Budi to see your reaction when the two of us would argue and fight. We wanted to know whose side you would take. I said that you would mediate between us with the exact words you just said. Meanwhile, this guy named Budi Budiman confidently said that you'd just smile and not care about our fight." Rehan said, trying to hold back his laughter after defeating Budi.

"Your jokes aren't funny at all," Rachel snorted angrily.

Rachel immediately pouted and lit her cigarette while guzzling several glasses of whisky greedily.

After 30 minutes, Budi Budiman and Rehan tried to start another topic of discussion, but Rachel remained silent, not responding to the words of the two men who were greatly feared in Serigala Hitam and in the Jakarta area and its surroundings. Rachel only refilled the glasses of the two powerful mafia figures with whisky and wine when their glasses were empty.

"You, Bud, look at my only child sulking and refusing to speak to me because of your silly bet." Rehan said frustratedly, downing the wine in his glass.

"Why are you blaming me, Rehan? You were the one who asked me to give your child an unforgettable experience when he wanted to go to Japan for ten months." Budi Budiman retorted, unwilling to be blamed by Rehan.

"But I didn't agree with your idea!" Rehan snapped.

"Yes, at first you didn't agree, but in the end you agreed to my idea and challenged me to a bet!" Budi Budiman retorted, refusing to back down.

"You damn Budi Budiman!" Rehan snorted angrily.

"You old fool, Rehan, who never admits your mistakes in front of your daughter!" Rehan snorted angrily.

Soon, the two middle-aged men began blaming each other and arguing in raised voices. All the guests in the VIP room turned to look at them.

"Don't look over here, you damn foreigner, if you still want to leave this room alive!" Budi Budiman said, flashing the pistol hidden at his waist.

Then, no one in the VIP room dared to pay attention or get involved with the two middle-aged men. The airport staff and police there all pretended not to see the commotion between Rehan and Budi Budiman.

This made everyone there realise that these two middle-aged men were people they shouldn't anger or offend. Meanwhile, Rachel was busy pouring whisky into her glass and into Budi Budiman and Rehan's glasses.

Without Rehan and Budi realising it, Rachel was recording their verbal altercation with her BlackBerry phone.

Shortly after that, the airport announced that Rachel's flight had just landed, and passengers heading to Japan were asked to board the plane immediately. Rachel quickly grabbed her two large suitcases.

"I'm leaving!" Rachel said to Budi Budiman and Rehan, who were still arguing.

After hearing Rachel's words, both of them immediately stopped their childish behaviour.

"Rachel, my child, forgive me. I just wanted to give you a memorable experience before you go to Japan!" Rehan said softly.

"Rachel, forgive me if my idea was too much and made you upset!" Budi Budiman said with a guilty expression on his face.

Rachel, who was dragging two suitcases, turned around and said, "Sorry, just kidding... Sorry, just kidding!" mimicking Rehan's expression.

"You devil woman! How dare you play tricks on me!" Budi Budiman snapped.

"Hey, Budi Budiman, watch your mouth! She's my daughter!" Rehan protested.

Then the two men started arguing again. Rachel smiled at the two men who meant so much to her.

Rachel then hugged Rehan and Budi at the same time, then asked a waiter to take a souvenir photo with her BlackBerry phone.

After that, Rachel kissed Rehan and Budi Budiman's hands. Then Rachel left the VIP waiting room.

Rehan and Budi Budiman watched Rachel's back as she grew farther away until she was no longer visible.

Rachel boarded the Garuda Indonesia flight and spent nearly 15 hours on the plane. She finally arrived at the Japanese airport at 2 p.m.

After retrieving her luggage, Rachel looked around and searched for the person who was supposed to pick her up. Rachel looked around, trying to find someone holding a piece of paper or anything with her name on it.

After half an hour of searching and not seeing her name anywhere near the exit, Rachel contacted Budi Budiman via the BBM app using the airport's Wi-Fi.

Meanwhile, Hatori looked very upset because he and his two subordinates had been waiting at the exit since 1 p.m. with a large sign that read, 'Welcome Rachel to Japan.' However, no woman approached him and said she was Rachel.

'Boss, is the girl from Indonesia named Rachel still alive?' asked one of Hatori's subordinates named Yukimura.

'Hey... hey, Yukimura, we're Yakuza! Why are you complaining after standing here for only two hours?' Hatori replied angrily.

'But Boss, you've been sitting there for two hours while we're almost freezing from the cold!' said Tokiciro.

Tokiciro was one of Hatori's subordinates. He had short hair, wasn't very tall, and had a slightly stocky build but wasn't overweight. Meanwhile, Yukimura was a man with the appearance of a handsome playboy and a sexual predator. Yukimura's smile had successfully charmed the girls he knew.

"Be patient, both of you! Don't complain like women! If that woman hasn't arrived in 20 minutes, I'll try contacting Boss Nakamura!" Hatori replied as he approached his two subordinates.

Rachel was actually standing right next to Tokichiro, Yukimura, and Hatori, who were now near his two subordinates.

However, since Hatori and his two subordinates were speaking Japanese and had a sign written in Japanese to greet her, neither Rachel nor Hatori realised that the person they were waiting for and searching for was already right next to them.
