Chapter 4 Her Ex and New Boyfriend

Matt was so angry that he gritted his teeth. However, thinking of something, he smiled at her, "Fine. At least I'm not as miserable as you now. You're used to using the best service, so you came to this VIP room, right? Do you think you have enough money to pay for the fee here? Let's wait, when you get kicked out and end up on the streets, even if you come to beg me, I won't take you in anymore!"

What a psycho!

Lena said to him in frustration, "You think I still need you? Without you, there are still good people who help me. It's over between us. Get the hell out of here!"

Unexpectedly, upon hearing that, his eyes widened, "What did you just say? Do you have another man?"

What was wrong with this guy? Was that what he cared about? The one who betrayed her and slept with another woman was him, yet he didn't want anyone else to help her. However, seeing him angry like this made her feel very happy. She smiled and nodded, "Yeah, that's right. He's much better than you. He's very rich, a real tycoon, far different from a parasite like you!"

"What nonsense are you talking about? Do you think you can fool me? You can't love anyone but me!" Matt still tried to salvage the situation, raising his hand to stroke his hair as if to reassure himself.

At this moment, a man's light laughter suddenly came from outside the door. Matt turned around in surprise. Lena was a little surprised to see Jayden enter the room. When did he come back? Did he hear anything? She suddenly felt a little embarrassed for dragging him into this mess.

While she was looking down worriedly, Jayden had already come to her side. A sudden warmth enveloped her as his arm wrapped around her shoulders, pulling her into his embrace.

"Baby, why did your ex come looking for you just after I left for a bit? You're making me sad." His deep voice rang out in her ear, carrying a hint of resentment.

That voice was like a cat's claw lightly scratching her heart. Lena felt her face heat up, raising her head to look into his blue-gray eyes. His smile was still as gentle as ever.

This man... was helping her act?

"You... who the hell are you?" Matt's voice rang out, clearly less confident than before.

The fact that she had another man had severely shocked him.

"Jayden Harris," Jayden introduced while still holding her. "Lena's boyfriend."

"What? So f*cking funny! If you're her boyfriend, then what am I?" Matt snapped.

"Her ex, of course. I just saw her dump you." Jayden said a fatal sentence and then laughed sarcastically. "Should I thank you? Your crazy act last night helped me get her."

This was a real blow. Lena almost burst out laughing when she saw Matt's complicated expression. He was both angry and bitter when he realized he had hurt himself. If he hadn't exposed his affair, she might still have been with him stupidly.

"Oh, I almost forgot," Jayden continued. "That video of yours was really hot. I wonder if your university would accept a student with such moral depravity. I heard you haven't graduated yet. If I reveal this to your principal, how will he judge you?"

Matt's face became paler and paler. That's right, Lena had just noticed this now. Although Matt's cheating incident happened outside of campus, the members of that group chat were all students. He dared to do that because she had lost her father's powerful support and those friends would not help her. What he did not expect was Jayden's appearance.

"Don't do that." Matt said, his voice trembling slightly. He was crazy but still needed a diploma.

Lena could tell from his attitude that Jayden's background was probably not simple, although she had vaguely sensed it since the first time she saw him.

"Wait," suddenly noticing something, Lena looked at Matt and asked. "Why did you reveal the affair last night? Did you know that my dad would be caught?"

Although she couldn't remember anything, she could feel that this guy couldn't do something that would be disadvantageous to himself. Matt wouldn't suddenly do that to her.

"What are you talking about? I don't know anything." He immediately denied it.

"There's one more thing," Jayden told her. "My people checked last night. You didn't suddenly get into the accident, someone messed with your race car. If you hadn't slowed down, you could have been more seriously injured."

What?

Her hands were shaking and her head was suddenly throbbing.

Was it not an accident but someone arranged it? Who and why?

"It wasn't me," Matt saw her looking at him and quickly said, stepping back toward the door. "You rest. I'm leaving."

"Hey, stop!" Lena called, but he was already running.

"I don't think it was him." Jayden patted her shoulder to reassure her. "He wouldn't benefit if you died."

"Die?" She looked at him, bewildered.

"Yeah, that person must have wanted you dead. Luckily you're a good racer."

"In that case," Lena muttered. "Maybe my dad didn't commit a crime but was framed, right? These things can't be coincidences! Someone targeted my family from the beginning."

She raised her hand and lightly hit her head, "But I can't remember anything. Every time I try to remember, my head hurts."

Jayden grabbed her hand, stopping her from continuing, "Don't try too hard. You should rest."

He helped her lie down. Lena obediently lay down on the bed, looking up at the hospital ceiling, suddenly asking, "Was I really that bad before? I feel like I must have been very bad, playful, and even stupid."

Based on what Matt said just now, she must have been a spoiled lady. Her friends in the group chat even called her "queen."

If it weren't for that terrible lifestyle, perhaps when her family had an accident, she wouldn't have ended up lying here useless.

"Everyone needs to stumble once, Lena." The man's deep, melodious voice rang in her ear, his large hand gently stroking her head. "There will always be a new beginning."

Right, she decided. She must quickly recover, straighten herself out, then save her father and take revenge on those who harmed her family.
