Chapter 3 Do you like me

"It hurts!" Lena hissed, hugging the pillow tightly because of the pain in her ribs.

Tears kept flowing from her eyes. In addition to the physical pain, there was also a fear that flared up inside her. When she went for a check-up just now, the doctor said that she had lost her memory and that her family was facing a terrible incident. No one would come in here with-

"Are you okay?" A deep male voice rang out beside her ear, interrupting her train of thought.

Lena raised her head to look at Jayden, the man from earlier. He had returned.

"It hurts so much." She said, hot tears still falling.

"The painkiller is wearing off."

Her vision blurred, she heard him say, then a hand held a pill in front of her.

"Open your mouth."

Lena opened her lips to take the pill. The man patiently held a glass of water for her to drink and helped her lie down on the bed.

"Thank you. You are such a good person, Jayden." She muttered. "I will definitely repay you."

Then she fell asleep.

The reason Lena said that was because she thought he would leave. Although he was a good person, he was not her relative.

However, the next morning, the man returned to the hospital room not long after she woke up.

"Good morning, Miss Rivera."

He smiled and helped her prepare the table, placing the hot porridge he had just brought on it. Today, he was wearing a black suit and a black tie, looking handsome and elegant. At close range, she could even smell a faint, pleasant scent of men's cologne.

"What's wrong? Are you in pain again?" Seeing her sitting still looking at him, he asked, his eyes filled with worry.

Lena shook her head slightly. The man scooped up a spoonful of porridge, carefully blew on it to cool it, and brought it in front of her.

"Eat it while it's hot."

She obediently opened her mouth to eat. Jayden scooped another spoonful, glanced at his watch, and continued blowing on the porridge. Was it time for him to go to work?

"Jayden," she suddenly called out.

The man's hand paused for a moment, his grey-blue eyes looking at her with a bit of surprise.

"I heard from the doctor that you paid for my hospital bill and upgraded my room. You're even taking care of me. A fan wouldn't do all these things," she said. For some reason, she didn't feel embarrassed but only felt reassured. He wouldn't leave her like the others, would he?

Sure enough, the man smiled gently, "You lost your memory so you don't remember, I was one of the people who pursued you. Too bad you already have a boyfriend."

"Is that so?" Lena blinked, feeling a bit disappointed.

She followed his gaze to the things that belonged to her that the doctor had left on the nightstand, including her phone and a very expensive-looking bag.

The phone was turned off, Lena had not touched it since she woke up.

"I... don't want to remember." She lowered her head and whispered. "I feel like those were terrible things."

She felt like there was a group of people waiting to laugh at her, a chill rose up in her, making her afraid. The feeling of forgetting everything, having nothing in her hands, facing a group of people who wanted to harm her made her--

"You can do it," a large hand patted her head, making her suddenly stunned. "You're stronger than you think."

His voice was deep, his tone was affirmative. She raised her head to look at his face. His blue-gray eyes looked straight at her, certain as if he had known her well before.

His palm was wide and warm.

When Jayden left for work, Lena still sat there in a daze for a while, her eyes following the direction he had just gone.

Then, she picked up her phone and turned it on.

"My queen, where are you?"

"Don't die, we're waiting for you to come back."

Notifications popped up on the screen, coming from a group chat. Many people tagged her name with the link to a video. The video content was a scene of catching adultery in bed, quite thrilling for many viewers. Unfortunately, the main character who was cuckolded in it was Lena.

After she ran out, the brown-haired man on the bed cursed as he got dressed, "Damn, why did she leave? Why didn't she cry or scream? She said she loved me!"

"Haha, Matt, you're such an asshole!" The cameraman laughed at him.

"Honey," the woman on the bed grabbed Matt's hand and said coquettishly. "See? Lena doesn't care about you at all. Why are you so obsessed with her?"

This was disgusting. Lena turned off the screen. She understood why she didn't want to remember these things earlier. Why could she have such a terrible boyfriend in the past?

"Knock knock," at this moment, there was a knock on the door.

Was Jayden back? Lena regained her cheerful expression and turned to look, then immediately frowned when she saw who had just entered.

The man who had just entered was wearing a tight white polo shirt, holding a large bouquet of red roses in his hand, smiling sweetly at her, "My queen, my baby, look who's here to see you!"

Lena got goosebumps. That brown hair, face, and voice were exactly the same as her boyfriend in the video.

"Why are you looking at me like that? Don't be mad. I'm sorry, okay?" Matt said as he held the bouquet in front of her. "Last night was just a mistake. You are the only one I love."

She frowned. Was this bastard insane?

"It's because you hurt me first. You always treated me like a lowly person. You didn't let me touch you." He continued, reaching up to stroke a lock of her hair. "But it's okay. Even if you're no longer a rich young lady, I'll still be by your side to take care of you."

What kind of logic was this? Lena's eyes were truly opened by his twisted mentality. She shook his hand away, "Why do you think I still want you by my side?"

"It's simple, because you have nothing left now. We grew up together, Lena. I know very well how arrogant you are. You've never done any housework, you can't stand it without someone to serve you. Your dad has been arrested, there is no one to support you anymore, you will not be able to support yourself. Your relatives are evil people who only care about benefits. Lena smiled slightly, asking him, "You talk as if you are a rich and powerful person. Wasn't I the one who gave you those things?"

Matt's cheerful eyes immediately darkened, his hand holding the bouquet of roses trembled slightly.

She continued, "You are nothing more than a parasite attached to me. Do you know why I didn't cry when I saw you sleeping with that woman? Because you guys are not worth it. I'm dying of laughter, haha." She pressed the pillow against her chest to hold back her laughter. "You think that if you expose your affair and invite everyone to laugh at me, they will worship you? How pitiful! You were never on their level to begin with. Without me, you'd be nothing but a laughing stock to them."

"You..." Matt hissed through gritted teeth, throwing the bouquet of roses to the ground.
