Chapter 9 9: Alpha of Alphas

Chapter 10 10: I am for trouble

Chapter 11 11: Brothers

/ 1

Faintly, but I heard them talking. I was stiffened with fear that I pretended to sleep still.
'Is she going to be alright?'
'As much as I know, she is fine, Alpha, but I think we should get a human doctor if you Insist'
Listening to this stuff made me uncertain. I don't know what the second voice meant when he said human doctor, but I somehow recognised the first one. Well, you can forget the voice of such a creepy human-buying fellow.
'Go' I heard Derek order.
That bossy son of a...ugh!
With my eyes still closed as I lay on the bed, I waited for the sound of the door closing before I opened my eyes. Looking around to find myself in a strange room, it didn't take me long to remember what had happened last night.
Last night?
Was it last night?
I wasn't sure of it, but it should be last night.
I wasn't even sure, but I know I had to do something. I have to know what Jane didn't want me to get sold.
Quickly and yet silently, I got off the bed and tiptoed toe to the door. Although I wasn't sure about my surroundings and what I would do with my life if I eventually got out, I just knew I needed to get out of this place.
Placing my palm on the door handle, I waited.
I felt like I should wait, I felt like I should be more careful, but if I have to be careful, I have to get to safety first.
This dude brought me, and I don't know what he has for me. What if he rips out all my organs?
I don't even know anything about myself!
I don't even know if I have a family, friends, or anything about work or school.
I just don't get it!
Tears filled my eyes as I walked back to the bed.
If this man could make Rex from last night intimidated and abandon me, he must be up to nothing good.
'What do I do?' I asked no one in particular.
Looking around for everything I could use, I found Rex's shirt and the dress I wore on the floor. Rex's shirt was ripped into pieces, making me wonder what I was wearing and if the ripping was personal. I looked down to see I was wearing a shirt, a male's shirt, so I assumed it would be for Derek.
I caught a glimpse of some money on my side of the table, and my instincts kicked in!
'Money to survive' I gasped like a crazy nutter.
Without thinking, I took the money and attempted to put them inside my underwear, but since I wasn't wearing any yet, I looked around for something else.
I found a bag, an empty wine bottle and a dagger.
If I need to survive out there, I need that dagger too, so I grabbed it with the bag and wore it over my shoulders.
I looked around further and found a place of food, mainly meat. I looked half-eaten so I assumed it wasn't poisoned and rushed towards it. I took a bite and regretted my actions because it was barely HALF COOKED!
The blood tastes a bit fresh, making me gag.
I cleaned my tongue with the shirt I wore and rushed to the door with the dagger in my hand, ready to stab anyone who would come my way, but immediately I opened it, I met with the least person I wanted to see.
"Hello Mate" Derek smiled sweetly.
My gaze wandered around his huge naked body, and I gulped. The water dripping from his head to his eyes, his slightly red eyes from the pressure of keeping them open and his... Oh my god!
I shivered in embarrassment as I realised I had opened the bathroom door.
Quickly, I closed the door without saying anything and rushed to the second door I found. This one was a two-way door, and I wondered why I didn't notice it before.
I yanked it aggressively as my life depended on it, but it didn't open. I was trapped.
"I know you are human and all this might be confusing to you, but trust me, mate, I can explain," I heard Derek say behind me.
Mate?
Why the heck does he keep calling me Mate?!
I turned and nearly fell.
My head went blank for a few seconds, and I realised I shouldn't have turned so fast, especially this hungry and weak. Well, the last thing I wanted was to let Derek know I was weak, so I got to a defensive position and held the dagger in front of me
"You will hurt yourself, Mate" Derek said as he turned his bare behind towards me and walked to his walk-in wardrobe.
He was acting so unconcerned about everything, and it made me scared and angry at the same time.
"You just need to take a bath, eat, and the doctor will come see you" He half-yelled from inside as if he was having a normal conversation with me before "You know I stayed in the human city for a while and I know some things about you guys and your feeble health. Why will I wonder when the health care of so expensive?" Derek continued, amused.
I ignored him.
If this man could act this way, two things might be involved.
Either he was a psychopath or a creep, and he looked like both.
A creepy psychopath.
I searched around for the key to get out of that place but since I didn't find it, I began to run and slam myself against the door. When nothing happened, I began to jump kick it.
My arms and legs hurt, but I didn't, not even when I heard Derek complain behind me.
"What the heck are you doing, mate, you would hurt yourself!" Derek yelled.
I froze.
If I need to work on something, I need to start something so I didn't. I pointed the dagger at Derek, who was fully closed. He was dressed in black Sweatpants and a yellow polo.
"Mate?" I asked him.
The smile on Derek's face was so confusing. He was so excited that I said mate and it made me believe that this dude is a real creep and the police would never find my body. I might as well be part of a true crime documentary 30 years later, where doctors and authorities would take turns to do my autopsy.
"Yes mate. What the heck does that even mean?" I asked him.
Derek frowned.
He took a few steps towards me but I was ready for anything. I got my fingers and dagger prepared so I won't go down without a fight. I would make sure I get his creepy DNA in my nails so he would pay for it one way or another.
"What those it mean?!" I yelled this time, " Rex, that other dude called me Mate, and I want to know what it means"
I didn't know if it was my imagination or because my head spun a bit, I swear, I saw Derek change to something for a few seconds. But that didn't make me scared, I can't go down without a fight yet!
"Rex called me Mate so Many times and I..."
"JUST SHUT UP!!!!"
I flinched as I watched Derek turn to something else. He was shaking uncontrollably, and I fear he was hurt or going to hurt me.
His face grew much hair, his nails changed to claws and his teeth? His teeth looked different from those of a normal human. It was like he was a beast in a human form.
Dear Lord, this man must have drugged me. I am seeing things!
"I am your fucking mate and you belong to me!" He walked towards me.
Quickly, I did what I had thought about.
I stabbed his outstretched hand, making him growl.
I ignored how abnormal that was and kept stabbing him as fast as I could.
He hurled me to the bed.
Although the bed was soft but I groaned anyway.
I struggled to get up to see walking towards me with blood all over his body.
"I am your mate and I don't see any how I can share you!" He snapped.
Share me?
Well, he could as well share me in his grave because I was determined to kill him, so I jumped at him and continued stabbing him. I made sure to hold the dagger as strongly as I could, which led me to apply more force on the next stab.
"Die you crazy creep!" I cried as I saw that he doesn't look like he was going to die.
I waited a few seconds to look at him as he pushed me to the ground and what I saw traumatised me. The fresh stabbed wounds were all closing, making me realise how I have been wasting my time trying to kill him.
I looked at my hand for the dagger and realised that I had forgotten it on his body. My gaze remained on that spot, which made Derek notice the dagger too.
"You...you ...your body?" I said, unsure.
"Yes!" Derek snapped as he told off his torn polo and wiped the blood off his body.
He tossed it towards me and growled in raw frustration.
"And that shit hurt, Elena! It hurt!" he said.
My jaw dropped.
I looked around the bloody floor, the mess I had made and looked up to him. It all doesn't make sense at all. I was going to ask him how it happened, but he spoke.
"I was going to explain everything to you! I am not a creep, and I am a WEREWOLF, you crazy human!"
I gulped.
It didn't make any sense at all.
"Werewolves aren't real", I muttered.
Derek's gaze widened.
He looked around the room, pointing at the things around, including a boring picture of himself on the wall. Oh, I didn't notice that.
"Are you for real? Werewolves aren't real? Elena, am I a joke to you?" He asked.
As I remained silent, we watched the door open, and a young male in his late teens walked in with a tray of freshly cooked meals.
My mouth watered, and as soon as he dropped the meal, he left. It wasn't strange enough that he didn't react to the messy, bloody floor. What was strange was how I rushed to consume the meal, and when I was done, I walked back to the bed and lay down.
"So now you need to sleep? " Derek asked.
I ignored him.
I need to think or sleep so I can wake up from this nightmare.
