Chapter 9 9: Alpha of Alphas

Chapter 10 10: I am for trouble

Chapter 11 11: Brothers

/ 1

Of all things, werewolves became real! How?
For three days, I ate, bath twice a day and tried to cry. There had been this lump in my throat, my heart was heavy, and I felt so useless and broken. Yet, not a single drop of tears came out, and I felt trapped.
Selling me, keeping me safe, Derek, or even Rex, I haven't seen again. I just knew and felt like I needed to understand everything to escape.
I can stay in the street, get a quack job and imagine none of this ever happened.
I could try looking for Jane, know who I am and get a life. Maybe I might get what I deserve, something I truly desire, which I have no idea yet.
The door opened, and the usual lady walked in. Dressed in something casual, looking good in her mid-twenties, gosh. I admire her freedom.
A small smile flashed on my face as I watched her. She seems happy with her perfect hair. Her long straight hair waist waist-length. Her olive skin and her perfect body. She was thick and okay at the same time, and I love it for her.
"Good evening, Luna," She said cheerfully.
I rolled my eyes.
So many times, I told her to call me my real name and not this Luna stuff, but she would not listen. She just flaunts her big puppy brown eyes, cute face and this delicious plate of spaghetti and meatballs.
Without hesitation, I began to eat while she walked to the bathroom. It was certain she wanted to 'set' my bathing water to the human temperature and watch me eat.
Awkward.
I was halfway when she came out with the usual smile on her face. She stood across me, watching my every move, and it seemed suspicious.
"You know if you guys are putting something in my food, I don't care", I said as I loudly slurped from the water and smirked.
There was an awkward look on her face as she looked at the door for a few seconds. Looking back at me, she came close enough and smiled. I knew something was up.
"The Alpha really likes you,, she half whispered.
I forced myself not to roll my eyes. I don't care what the issue is with them here, but buying me, keeping me locked up, and all he has been doing isn't like.
As if she read my mind, she shrugged.
"Do you want to hear the story? All of them? " She asked.
I moved the half-empty plate aside and quickly drank water to my fill. Setting any distraction aside, I leaned closer to her and gently placed my palm on her thigh.
Spill the tea.
"You know you should start calling me Elena, it's my name", I smiled.
"I am Alice, and this is Altum ventum pack,, She giggled.
Altum Ventum sounded more like a cult name, but I didn't say anything, I just nodded.
Before she continued, Alice took my hand and led me to the bathroom. Again, as usual, she waited for me to undress and began to bathe. I was expecting her to learn how to give me some privacy by now, but nah, she waited in silence till I was done, and we went to get me dressed.
"We are part of the first generation werewolves, pure breed and not bitten", Alice narrated.
While I comb my hair, I wonder what she meant by bitten. There was a way she said that pure breed, and it was laced with mysteries.
"It is said that when an Alpha bites a human, the person can become a werewolf, but for our pack, Generations wants pure breed" Alice narrated.
We settled into the bed, and I knew the main story was about to start.
"Alpha Derek had not always hated his brother Rex, it was a..."
"Rex? " I interrupted her "The one he calls Omega Rex is his brother? "
Alice smiled softly.
"They are twins. They were both good people till Alpha Derek went to the human city to learn about them for our benefit and... "
I adjusted closer to her face.
She paused, waiting for my question like a patient teacher.
"Where is this place? " I asked.
That wasn't what I wanted to ask, but one thing at a time.
"This is Earth, somewhere in the woods in Ireland." She said proudly, "We are the native pure blood of the Irish werewolf" She added again with pride.
This time, I rolled my eyes till they hurt.
Irish, earth, does she feel like I would run away if she tells me the particular location? Of course I will.
"As I said before, Alpha Derek wants the best for us, but his Rex wants the best for...... "
Blah, Blah, Blah,
That was all I got so far.
What I got was how she seemed to strongly admire Derek and hate Rex. She talked like she had a history with them. How Rex is the evil brother and how he killed their parents because they wanted to make Derek Alpha.
I don't get it. Rex stayed all these years. For 9 years, he worked things put just for Derek to come and change everything. I would be mad too.
Wait a minute, am I picking sides already?!
I can't be among these inhuman brothers. I need to figure out what happened to me and...
"... For real, the curse has been the only problem now", I hear Alice giggling.
The curse.
"I heard Derek talk about it with Seth" I blurted out impatiently,, The other guy, the one that doesn't have a good sense of humour" I added disgusted.
Alice gave a playful frown.
"Beta Seth is the best humour this pack has. Just that he hates kids and seems to have something with Rex," She explained.
I don't care what they have.
I was getting impatient and stood up. I paced around the room, trying to connect the dots.
"So you are saying if someone wants to get to the human city, from here, it's impossible? " I asked.
Alice paused.
The silence was deafening, and I regretted not thinking.
How on earth was I going to think when these people kill parents, aren't human, and talk about curses?
"It's okay if you want to escape, Elena" Alice half smiled.
That was weird. But it seems helpful.
She rushed to the door, rested her chin on it for a few seconds and turned to look at me.
"I would want to escape" She grinned "Maybe"
