"Sorry, I would like to know who you are, although I really appreciate you getting me out of jail," he said.
"My name is Anneth Daniel."
"Daniel who?"
"Daniel, your President."
"Huh!" Damian sighed. "Did he send you to me? Did he send you to finish me off?" Damian asked rapidly, panic evident at that moment.
The woman smiled and then responded, "No, not at all! I wasn't sent by him."
"Then why are you here?"
"I was the wife of President Daniel, but he left me without any reason after we had four children, all of them are studying in the United States. I heard he plans to take your wife away from you."
"Well! He has already taken her." Damian said in a voice filled with sorrow
"But they aren't married yet. Right?, What do you think about us teaming up to put an obstacle on the day of their wedding, with you on the wife's side and me on Daniel's side?"
"Okay. Sounds cool"
"I know this might seem strange due to our age difference, but I love you, Damian."
"Age is not a problem, but I don't think anything between us will work."
They talked about many things that day. Later, the woman left, leaving Damian and his friends to continue with their conversation.
"We've known about Diana being with the President for a long time," Stanley said.
"Really, Stanley!? Why didn't you tell me?"
"I was thinking about it,how to tell you but didn't know how. Do you remember when I went to the UK to buy machines for hatching chicks?"
"Yes!"
"Well, I visited the house where sister- in- law was living and found President Daniel with a little baby girl named Regina." That sentence took Damian back to thinking about Diana's chest and how her breast had grown big.
"My God! So that's why her breasts grew big, wow, seriously, Diana even had a child with this Old Man?"
Damian and his friends sat in silence for a moment. Damian was lost in thought, thinking about many things in his head. This situation made him get off track, he couldn't concentrate on work as he did before. He was now loosing his mind.
"Every time when I think about this woman, I don't know, I think I should finish her off, I'm so angry. Everything about her makes my heart ache and the only way to feel good is by finishing her completely"
"Would you really kill and end up in jail over this?because of A lady? Ah! Damian, you have your money, calm down, plan your things again."
His friends encouraged him, though he was still thinking about A lot. Where would he find a woman like Diana? Damian felt robbed; President Daniel was using his power to take his wife away.
Later, Damian said goodbye to his friends, informing them that he needed to go back home.
"Okay, Damian, but don't do anything foolish," Gabriel said.
"I promise Gabriel, I won't!"
They all stood up and accompanied Damian outside, where he took a taxi and headed home. Throughout the journey, he rested his head on the car window, reflecting on everything that was happening. He wished that when he closed his eyes, and opened them everything would be over as if he was waking up from a worse nightmare.
"Dating my wife wasn't enough, now he even made her a mother? Wow! President Daniel, wow!" he thought as the taxi was parking near the gate outside his house.
Before he could get out of the car, he heard a voice calling behind him. When he turned around, he saw Stanley. He got out of the car and followed him.
"What's up, Stanley?"
"Honestly, my heart is not at peace, and I'm asking you to give me your pistol. Damian, you're my friend, and I don't want to lose you. Please give me your pistol, I will return it to you once you're okay."
"Aah! Buddy, I hope you aren't the one who wants to go and use it on my behalf?"
"If I wanted to do so, why shouldn't I use mine?"
Damian smiled and, without hesitation, went inside to bring the pistol.
Damian's pain was overwhelming, and there was a strong possibility of doing anything, because of the anger he had that day.
When he arrived in the living room, it was silent. He tried calling his wife's name but got no response. He went into their bedroom but still couldn't find her. He took his gun and left the bedroom.
When he returned to the living room, he suddenly saw a small piece of paper on the table. He had to open it and start reading.
Damian,
I have left for the airport, I am traveling today to Ethiopia and later to Egypt to begin my work as an Ambassador. I wish you all the best in your life.
Thank you for showing me the way.
Yours, Diana.
Damian's heart ached tremendously. He picked up the paper and walked outside, where he found his friend Stanley and handed him the gun and that note. Stanley read it, and when he finished, he sighed and turned to his friend, whose eyes were filled with tears.
"Stanley, I'd rather drink poison."
"Why? Because of this prostitute? Well, good riddance," Stanley snapped.
"Stanley, Diana is not a prostitute, Diana is my wife."
"I understand, but she already left, she's with the President now."
"No, Stanley, I have to go to the airport right now!"
"To do what? Are you crazy? God is trying to save you from disaster, and now you want to follow it!"
Damian was exhausted and leaned against Stanley's car. Stanley's words stuck in his mind, and he found himself embracing his friend.
"Stanley, you are a true friend! Thank you so much!"
"Don't worry, Damian! I don't want anything bad to happen to you."
"Thank you, Stanley! Let's go for a drink!"
With that, Stanley couldn't argue further. They both went to the bar, where they were joined by their friend Gabriel. Gabriel was informed of what had happened, and instead of being sad, he expressed happiness.
Drinks were ordered, and Damian, who had never consumed alcohol before, drank that day. He surprised his friends by drinking strong whiskey, intending to forget his troubles.
He drank so much that he lost consciousness, and Stanley & Gabriel had to take him in the car to his home so he could rest. The house keeper was informed of her boss's situation.
---
Diana was on an 'Ethiopian Airways' flight heading to Ethiopia, where she would stay for two days before continuing her journey to Egypt, where she was expected to serve as the Ambassador of the Republic of Bentaz in that country. Seated next to her was President Daniel. The two of them were laughing and enjoying themselves; it was a very happy day in their lives.
"This fool, Damian, I've already finished him off. How can a man not have the ability to keep such a beautiful woman?" said President Daniel as they clinked glasses.
"Just shut up, darling. In my mind, it's you who rules," replied Diana with a slay smile, she seemed to have forgotten everything.
"I've already given you a good job, go do it, and I've asked sister Agrippina in London to make plans for transferring Regina to Egypt so you can live with her. I think after I leave Egypt, I will first go to the UK to bring Regina and then return home!"
"I will be so happy, sweetheart! I can't live far from our child!"
"That's not a problem, but one thing is. I don't know when we should plan our wedding?"
"Hmm! But remember, it will be very difficult for us to get married, because Damian won't agree, and your ex-wife won't agree either. I don't know what we should do."
"That's a small task."
"Really? Well, tell me how will you handle it?"
"Let me ask you a question."
"Go ahead and ask, my dear."
"I could kill Anneth. But can you kill Damian?"
"Hmm! Darling, don't we have any other options besides that?" Diana appeared to have doubts.
"We have to erase them from this world in order to enjoy our love, Diana."
"I really feel sorry for Damian, but I have no choice, he must die!"
"Very well! That's what I wanted to hear. So in six months, I think it will be in July, you will come back to Bentaz to finish off Damian, and by then I will have already killed Anneth!"
Things were getting more terrifying, Daniel and Diana weren't satisfied with betraying their partners. And now they were ready to Kill, Kill their partners who they wronged? Seeing them as obstacles.
