Chapter 6 Ancient Secrets

Lyra's eyes locked onto the guardian's, her heart pounding in her chest. Chosen? What did it mean? The guardian's gaze seemed to bore into her soul. "You have been chosen to fulfill an ancient prophecy," he said, his voice dripping with an otherworldly authority. Lyra's mind reeled. Prophecy? What prophecy? Kael stepped forward, his eyes narrowed. "What prophecy?" he demanded. The guardian's gaze flicked to Kael, and for a moment, Lyra thought she saw a glimmer of approval. "The prophecy of the lunar bond," he said, his voice low and mysterious.

"A bond between two souls, forged in the heart of the moon." Lyra's heart skipped a beat. Lunar bond? What did it have to do with her? The guardian's eyes locked onto hers once more. "You, Lyra, are the key to unlocking this prophecy. And Kael, here, is the one who will help you fulfill it." Lyra's mind reeled with questions, but before she could ask any of them, the guardian vanished into thin air. She turned to Kael, her eyes wide with confusion. "What just happened?" she asked. Kael's gaze locked onto hers, his eyes burning with intensity. "I think our lives just got a lot more complicated," he said, his voice low and rough. Lyra's heart pounded in her chest as she realized the truth. She was in this now, whatever "this" was. And Kael was right by her side.
