Chapter 3 3. The Fate That Brought Them Together

That morning, a handsome, above-average height young man stepped off a super-luxurious private jet. His name was Hans Anderson, the second son of Kelvin and Margareth Anderson.

Downstairs, he was greeted by the bodyguard. Although he disliked the sight, he accepted the situation. He knew that it was his mother who had arranged everything like this.

"From here we go straight to the office, Sir!" the assistant immediately opened the door for his boss, and told the driver went straight to the office.

The motorcyclist and Hans' driver argued, they didn't want to lose. Meanwhile, in the car, Hans stared at the beautiful girl who looked confused, staring at the argument.

The woman repeatedly looked at the clock on her wrist, no doubt because she was afraid of being late for work. Because it was the first time the woman had come to work.

Hans gave the code to his assistant to speed things up, because he also had to lead a meeting at the company. He also realized that the woman would also be leaving for work. If they keep arguing, nothing will get done.

Hans' assistant quickly took care of the problem, sending the luxury car back on its way to the Anderson Group's corporate address.

Upon their arrival at the office, Hans was immediately greeted by the company's top brass, who were lined up neatly in the lobby of the office.

With his face remaining flat and cold, the man went downstairs and nodding his head, responding to his worker's greeting.

Suddenly, a beautiful woman walked in while apologizing repeatedly, because she was late.

When Hans' face turned towards the woman, it was the same woman who had crashed into his luxury car earlier. The HRD Leader immediately told the woman to go inside the HRD office, because there were some things that Vanessa had to sign, considering it was her first day of work.

But Hans immediately coded his assistant to bring the woman directly into his office.

"It's only the first day, you're already late like this, how about the next day?"

"I'm sorry sir, I won't do it again." Without making many excuses Vanessa just said that.

Vanessa recognized him as the owner of the luxury car that was hit by the motorcycle that brought her to the office.

"Who is this woman?" Hans' assistant asked Billy, the head of Human Resources, in a flat tone.

"Her name is Vanessa Hamilton, she is the new head of marketing. This is her first day on the job, sir!" The HRD Leader immediately shared Vanessa's information with Hans' assistant.

"Hmm, the CEO would like to meet this woman directly." He said as he coded Vanessa to follow him.

Vanessa immediately had a worried look on her face, as she recognized the man as the owner of the luxury car that was hit by her online motorcycle taxi earlier.

Outside the room, Vanessa immediately said to Devan, Hans' assistant. "Sir, I'm sorry that my online motorcycle taxi hit your car."

"The car was not mine. The car belongs to the CEO of this company."

Vanessa immediately turned pale at the man's words because the owner of the luxury car was the CEO of the Anderson group company.

It was her first day at work, but misfortune had already befallen her. The situation is very complicated!

"Come in!" The sound of the boss was heard very clearly, making the assistant immediately open the door.

"I've brought this lady, sir!" Devan immediately came out when his boss gave him the code.

"What is your name?" Hans immediately questioned Vanessa in a very flat and cold tone, as if the man had no emotions.

"Vanessa, Vanessa Hamilton, Sir!"

"What department do you work in at this company?"

"I have just been hired as the head of the marketing division. And this is my first day at work. I apologize for being late."

Vanessa didn't say much, she apologized for being late.

"Hmm, can you work as a secretary?"

"Yes, sir! But I was accepted to be the head of the marketing division."

"Go back to the HRD office and tell them I asked you to be my secretary!" Without saying much, Hans just waved his hand, indicating the man told Vanessa to leave, and go back to the HRD office.

With a confused look on her face, Vanessa nodded her head, and went out to the HRD room that she had come to the first time.

In that place, the head of HRD had apparently been told by the boss that Vanessa would be transferred to the position of secretary, so Vanessa was only told to sign the files containing the employment contract.

"Congratulations, you can even be the secretary of the CEO whose salary is 10 times more than being the head of the marketing division, you are really lucky! Do you know Mr. Hans Anderson?" The HRD Leader, Billy, was curious about the beautiful girl in front of him.

"No, sir! I just met her this morning, hmm, let me excuse myself to report back to the CEO." Vanessa immediately took her bag to the top floor of the building, since it was the CEO's office, the secretary's desk was most likely there.

Devan immediately taught the woman what to do.

Because of Vanessa's intelligence, all the work assigned to her was completed more quickly.

After leading the introductory meeting, Hans went back into his room, greeted by Vanessa who was in front of her office.

After entering the room, the man immediately sat facing glass divider, Hans can watch Vanessa through the glassand, from there Hans could see Vanessa's performance.

Suddenly his cell phone rang, and it was his mother who called. Hans immediately answered the call because he didn't want to be terrorized by his mother.

"Hello?"

"You should have dinner at home, Hans. There's Tiffany, your fiancee, at home, she's been waiting for your arrival. She says you're often indifferent to her. You can't do that, Hans!" The mother warned her son.

Hans' eyes fell on Vanessa who was working outside, suddenly an idea came to his mind to break his engagement to the woman named Tiffany.

"Mom, I've impregnated a woman, and I have to take responsibility for her. I can't marry Tiffany because I can't run away from responsibility," Hans explained in a flat tone, as if the information he gave was not something surprising.

But the reaction from his mother really set the world on edge.

"You brat! How can you impregnate a woman without marrying her? I don't want to know! You must take her to the mansion. You must get married immediately!" The phone was unilaterally switched off by his mother.

Hans' original intention was just to make call off the engagement. But, now what should he do? Where could he find a pregnant woman willing to marry him?
