Chapter 7 Happy valentine Day

"Oh I'm sorry."

"Oh, okay, let's do this. Right now, we are alone in here and our working time was over... so...so you can think of me as a friend not a boss anymore. Pumpkin! He put his hand on her hair.

Suddenly i was shocked, hearing him call me that. "pumpkin" i just control my tears not to fall.

He feels a little nervous because he slips his tongue to call her like that. He stares at her eyes sadly. He wish he could hug her tightly there.

"Ohh, can you tell a story while we wait."

"A story? Hmmm... what type of story sir?"

"Anything that can kill our tone here and getting out of boredom."

"Oh, okay, hmmmmm....I think i don't have any sir."

"Oh okay, can you just call me Daniel when we are outside the office. I don't like that formal call especially when it's coming from you.

"I...I'll try."

"Okay, he gently rub her hair."

After a long conversation with him, suddenly my alarm phone was ringing. I forgot that i set it to ring when it turns 12pm because i want to celebrate my valentine with myself. I quickly turn it off, i try to hide it but he managed to see the alarm note.

He smiled gently to me and said, "Happy valentine Day Vivian."

I was stunned by his look. His face was really close to mine. My heart was beating faster. I hope he didn't hear the sound of my heart beating.

"Ha....happy valentine day sir."

"Sir?"

"I mean....Daniel."

"Say it again."

"Happy valentine Day, Daniel."

Daniel gives her a sincere smile. He didn't think that finally this year he can wish that words to her in person.

Vivian was overthinking again. I wish my heart will not waver to him. I must know my limits!

Suddenly we heard foot steps of someone approaching. Finally, we can get out from there safely. Luckily, we weren't hurt and just a little suffering of waiting for them to come.

"Vivian, I'll send you home."

"Errr."

"It's late already, I'll send you home. Come." He pulled my hand . And also you can take a day off. "Don't come to work tomorrow okay, besides tomorrow is Friday, it's always half working day so stay at home."

"Huh?"

"Yeah. It's my responsibility to take care of you." He added.

Indeed? Yeah, after all, he's my boss, and I'm his employee. Why do i think about his words seriously? He must be caring about his employees.

On weekends, Bella do spend her week with me at my home, I took out my phone to call Bella and she picked on the second ring.

"Hey girlie, I'm glad you called, it's Friday let's go out.

"Go out? I was hoping we stay in and have a movie night. Besides I have something to tell you." I responded.

"No no no no no we are going out to have fun and that's on period." She said hysterically.

"Does that mean watching a movie with me ain't fun, wowww I'm definitely not hurt right now, I knew it won't work trying to convince her, hence i made myself pitiful. I wish i did though.

"Don't use that tone with me. You think you're hurt. I'm broken right now you know. I told you I'm man hunting and you want me to stay in all day.

Do you honestly think any man will come knocking on your's or mine door and say hi Vivian, I am the guy you have been searching for, well heaven heard you wish and sent me over.

No girl, that shit won't work unless I go out there. And you've been my good friend, you shouldn't let me go out alone.

"Fine, you win. I'll be there in 10 minutes. See ya soon."
