Chapter 7 The Party Invitation

As the sun began to set, casting long shadows across the city streets, a sleek black car pulled up outside Liam's now-empty apartment. Liam watched from the doorway, his heart pounding with nervous anticipation.

The driver's door opened, and a familiar figure stepped out – it was one of the chief drivers from the Anderson household, dressed in a sharp black suit. He gestured for Liam to approach.

"Liam, hop in," the driver said, his voice brisk and efficient. "Miss Clara is already waiting for you at the party."

Liam hesitated for a moment, his mind racing with conflicting emotions. On one hand, he was grateful for the opportunity to clear his name and confront his accusers. On the other hand, he couldn't shake the feeling that this invitation was just another twist in the elaborate game that had been orchestrated against him.

But ultimately, curiosity and a sense of determination won out, and Liam stepped forward, climbing into the waiting car. As the door closed behind him with a soft click, he braced himself for whatever lay ahead, knowing that the truth was his only ally in this high-stakes game.

As Liam settled into the plush interior of the car, he couldn't help but marvel at the contrast between his own modest surroundings and the luxury that surrounded him now. The soft leather seats cradled him in comfort, and the gentle hum of the engine seemed to soothe his frayed nerves.

As they navigated through the city streets, Liam's mind raced with a whirlwind of emotions. Anger, frustration, and a deep sense of injustice burned within him, fueling his determination to clear his name and reclaim his dignity.

But beneath the surface turmoil, there was a quiet resolve – a steely determination to rise above the circumstances that had conspired against him. Liam vowed to himself that he would not let this setback define him, that he would prove his innocence and make something of himself, no matter the odds.

The journey passed in silence, each passing moment bringing Liam closer to the truth, and to the confrontation that awaited him at the party.

As they pulled up outside the elegant venue, Liam's heart skipped a beat at the sight of Clara standing there, radiant in her expensive dress. He took a deep breath, steeling himself for the encounter that lay ahead, and stepped out of the car.

Clara's eyes met his, and for a moment, they stood there, locked in a silent exchange of emotions. Then, without a word, they moved towards each other, their hands reaching out to clasp together in a tentative embrace.

But as they entered the apartment, the tension between them became palpable, hanging heavy in the air like a storm cloud on the verge of breaking. In the dimly lit hallway, they stopped, facing each other with wary eyes.

"You know," Clara began, her voice barely above a whisper, "none of this would have happened if you hadn't-"

"If I hadn't what?" Liam cut in, his own voice tinged with bitterness. "If I hadn't been set up by your brother and his cronies? You and I know that nothing happened that night between us meanwhile what were you doing in my room at that time and you were half naked"

Clara's gaze faltered, guilt flickering in her eyes. "I didn't know you were in that same room earlier, Liam. And what was my phone doing in your room at that same time?."

Liam's anger flared, his frustration boiling over. "Well, congratulations, Clara. You played right into the game, just like you've wanted. And now here we are, forced to play along with their little charade while they sit back and laugh at us."

Clara's lips trembled, tears welling up in her eyes. "You have destroyed my life. How can I live all my life without the man I love." I hate you

Liam's anger softened, replaced by a pang of sympathy for the young woman standing before him. Despite everything, he couldn't help but feel a flicker of compassion for her plight.

"I know," he murmured, reaching out to gently wipe away her tears. "I know it's not your fault, Clara. But everything is already late now. We have to stick together, This is the instructions of your dad and you know any act of disobedience will amount to great trouble."

Clara nodded, And looked away. "You're right, Liam. Sooner or later you will be forced into my life.

With a silent understanding passing between them, Liam and Clara held their hands together as they went inside the big mansion.

As Liam and Clara stood together, their resolve strengthening, they were suddenly interrupted by the unwelcome arrival of Dominic and Alex. Liam's jaw clenched as he braced himself for the inevitable barrage of insults and accusations.

"Well, well, well, look who it is," Dominic sneered, his voice dripping with malice. "The little delivery boy who couldn't keep his hands to himself."

Liam shot him a withering glare, his fists clenching at his sides. "How dare you questioon me, Dominic. You and I both know You are more guilty than I'm, snatching someones girlfriend without apology."

Alex's sneer widened into a malicious grin. "Oh, I orchestrated it, did I? And what proof do you have of that, huh? Besides, it's not like you weren't enjoying yourself, getting cozy with the boss's daughter."

Liam's nostrils flared with anger, but before he could respond, Alex chimed in with his own brand of taunts. "That's right, Liam. Looks like you're about to become part of the family after all. Though I doubt you'll last long – losers like you never do."

Clara's eyes flashed with fury at her brother's callous remark. "That's enough, Alex. You have no right to speak to him like that."

Alex shrugged off her warning, a smug smirk playing on his lips. "Oh, come on, Clara. Can't you see he's just using you to get ahead? Once he's gotten what he wants, he'll toss you aside like yesterday's news."

Liam's patience snapped, his sarcasm lacing his words with venom. "Oh, I'm sorry, Alex. I didn't realize your family had a monopoly on using people for their own gain. My mistake."

Dominic's face flushed with anger, his fists clenching at his sides. "You think you're so clever, don't you? Well, let me tell you something, Liam – you may have fooled everyone else, but you can't fool us. We know what you're really like, and we won't rest until everyone else does too."
