Chapter 4 An Unwelcome Surprise

The dinner in the Anderson household was a lavish affair, with a spread of exquisite dishes that had Liam's mouth watering. Despite his initial unease, the warmth and hospitality of the family put him at ease, and he found himself engaging in lively conversation with Michael, Jason, and even Lily.

As they savored the decadent dessert, Michael turned to Liam, a satisfied smile on his face. "Liam, I must say, it's been a pleasure having you join us tonight. Jason has told me a bit about your situation, and I can't help but admire your resilience."

Liam felt a flush of embarrassment creep up his neck. "Thank you, Michael. I'm truly grateful for your kindness and generosity. You have a lovely family."

Jason grinned, clapping Liam on the back. "See, I told you Dad would love you. You're practically one of us already!"

Lily chimed in, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Yes, Liam, we're so glad to have you here. I'm sure we'll become the best of friends."

As the others continued to converse, Liam couldn't shake the uneasy feeling that had been nagging at him since he'd overheard Alex's hushed conversation with Dominic. He tried to push the thoughts aside, convincing himself that he was simply being paranoid.

Throughout the meal, Alex had remained largely silent, occasionally shooting Liam a calculating glance. Liam couldn't help but wonder what the young man was plotting, but he tried to focus on the warmth and camaraderie of the moment.

As the dinner came to a close, Michael stood, raising his glass. "A toast, to new friends and cherished connections. Liam, we're honored to have you here, and I look forward to getting to know you better."

The others raised their glasses, echoing the sentiment, and Liam felt a genuine smile spread across his face. Perhaps he had been too quick to judge this family, he thought. Maybe this was the start of something truly special.

Little did Liam know, the wheels of a devious plan were already in motion, and his newfound sense of belonging was about to be shattered in the most unexpected way.

As the lavish dinner came to a close, Michael turned to Liam with a warm smile. "Liam, it's quite late. Why don't you stay the night? We have plenty of guest rooms, and I'd hate for you to have to travel home at this hour."

Liam was taken aback by the generous offer, his eyes widening. "Oh, I wouldn't want to impose, Mr. Anderson. I can easily-"

"Nonsense," Michael interrupted, placing a hand on Liam's shoulder. "It's our pleasure to have you, and we insist. Jason, why don't you show Liam to one of the guest rooms?"

Jason grinned, "Absolutely, Dad. Come on, Liam, I'll get you all set up."

As Michael and his wife bid them goodnight and retired to their own bedroom, Jason turned to his brother, Alex. "Hey, Alex, can you take Liam up to the master guest room? I need to check on something downstairs."

Alex's lips curled into a faint smile, "Of course, Jason. I'd be happy to." His gaze shifted to Liam, and Liam couldn't help but feel a slight unease at the calculating look in the younger man's eyes.

"Right this way, Liam," Alex said, motioning for Liam to follow him up the grand staircase.

As they made their way through the opulent hallways, Liam couldn't help but marvel at the sheer size and grandeur of the Anderson family's home. He felt utterly out of place, like a pauper in a palace.

"Here we are," Alex announced, opening the door to an exquisitely furnished guest room. "The master suite. Father insists on providing only the best for our guests."

Before then, Alex knowing very well that Liam will be making use of the Master bedroom, he Orchestrated a plan within and secretly went and hid a smart CCTV camera in the room, placing it in a strategic position.

Liam stepped inside, his eyes drawn to the ornate furniture and the plush king-sized bed. "This is... incredible. I really can't thank you and your family enough for your hospitality."

Alex leaned against the doorframe, a subtle smirk playing on his lips. "Oh, it's our pleasure, Liam. After all, we're just happy to have you here."

There was an undercurrent to Alex's words that made Liam uneasy, but he pushed the feeling aside, not wanting to appear ungrateful.

"Well, I should let you get some rest," Alex said, turning to leave. "Enjoy your stay, Liam. I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more of each other."

As the door clicked shut behind Alex, Liam couldn't shake the growing sense of unease that had settled in the pit of his stomach. Something about the way the younger Anderson brother had looked at him sent a chill down his spine.

Trying to shrug off his concerns, Liam settled onto the plush mattress, his body sinking into the soft cushions. "Maybe I'm just being paranoid," he murmured to himself, closing his eyes and willing himself to relax.

But as sleep slowly claimed him, Liam couldn't escape the nagging feeling that he had just stepped into a trap of some kind – one that he had no idea how to navigate.

Alex secretly took Clara's iPhone and kept it in the master bedroom. As he plans his next move.

Before then he had already made Liam drunk as he offered him a strong alcoholic wine, and pulled off his clothes, leaving only his short briefs seeing he was now drunk, he waited for the perfect timing as when everyone had left the living room.

Meanwhile, as the dinner rounded up, Clara had already retired back to her room and as she was about to sleep she remembered her phone as she searched around without seeing the phone

"where is my phone?" I know I kept it here she muttered softly

Suddenly she used her Android phone to call the sim number on the iPhone, already she was wearing only her Pants and was searching furiously, as the phone rang.

"Where is my phone ringing from?" she asked as she hears the faint sound of her phone from a distance, so she decided to trace it and immediately she zoomed off her room.
